I have to laff... When I first played the original "Titanic" game (1998?) and got into the "engine room", it was just a bunch of silly dials and gauges mounted on what looked like an ancient vacuum cleaner. I was never so disappointed in my life! Man-oh-man... how far we've come!
This is hands down the most realistic unreal demo of Titanic. Most other projects do a pretty good job, but Demo 401 makes it feel authentic, like you just stepped onto the Titanic on its maiden voyage. Seeing the debris from coal scattered around in the engine room, or small details like how the doors and hatches are left slightly open, as if someone just used them, really makes this feel more authentic, than realistic.
4 minutes in and im sitting in a park saying out loud things like "what?" "Omg" "this is insane". This is absolutely blown me away. The beautiful amount of detail and research. Thank you so much to all who worked on her. H&G Team...You all helped to get our ship back. Thank you.
I hope they add a setting that you can enable, so when you click on something, it tells you what you’re looking at, and with a little informative note on whatever you’ve clicked on. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I would love to know how the ship worked. Or maybe the team could release a book, painstakingly describing every aspect, every detail, every functionality, of Titanic.
What a huge ship! what a technology! And all at the beginning of XX century! Those ppl really made a titanic work! Everything perfect! Enormous details! Each sq.centimeter used very pragmatic! And all designed on paper by human hand with pencil! No errors! Everything just perfect! In the age of computer design humans wouldn't be able for such work. In fact ppl lost their creativity (and working skills) nowadays! These ppl used their mind and not virtual intelligence. That's why they were soo creative! And at the end all reached the bottom of the sea! Insane! I wish to believe that this ship didn't sink but sailed away ,somewhere in a quiet , peaceful place where nobody will find it and still enjoy sunshine and beautiful calm turquoise waters! 😊
In a parallel universe/timeline somewhere, it arrived in New York. WW1 never happened. The Edwardian spirit spread all across the globe and never ended.
The engine sounds appeared to be in sync with the engines. The galley sounds were a nice touch, too. Very well done. Hope the devs can implement the sounds in an update. Thanks for sharing.
A fantastic video of the inner workings of the Titanic and the insight of the real workers to keep this great ship powered,a really informative insight many thanks I tremendously enjoyed watching
I just discovered last night that near the ash hoist you can go inside the coal bunker and walk up a hill inside and explore the inside of the upper coal bunker. Lots of ducking involved.
I sincerely hope this will become a playable 'simulator' one day. I'd love to be able to sail her successfully to New York finally. Even better would be having full control of the boilers and furnaces and have the ability to shovel coal yourself and pilot the ship, etc.
Honestly, I love the passion and attention to detail that this crew has. I hope one day when they finish this project that they do other famous ships in a similar fashion. One that comes to mind immediately, since I just came back from Hawaii, is the USS Arizona. It would be remarkable to walk through the ship in the condition she would have been on December 7th. Or HMS Hood. They have brought history back to life for people to experience, and it’s hard not to think of the possibilities. If it could be done with this ship from 111 years ago, what else is possible?
Somewhat. There were doors that’d open in the side of the hull to allow coal tenders to fill up the ship’s bunkers. Of course overall getting an ocean liner ready for it’s trip was an impressive feat of logistics for the day.
Actually you can see the engine room on the stern part of the wreck. The front low pressure cylinder broke away which shows the extreme forces during the breakup of the ship. I also read somewhere that the condensers attached to the turbine got damaged.
The bow is in relatively good shape indeed. However the space where the crew quarters were, was already cluttered with pipes, divider grates, bunk beds and machinery. All of them got distorted, bend and broken that made it nearly impossible to navigate an ROV in between. There is a footage of the mess halls and sleeping quarters I am not sure if in the Ghost of the Abbyss or in the Deep insde Titanic (One of the many docu movies of Cameron). Not sure what you mean by 'machinery', but as you could see, between the boilers there is almost no space - yet I've seen a video where one brave and curious guy went down the same space on the Britannic. Really not recommended for claustrophobic people! If you mean the reciprocating engines, well, those are still standung upright, under the debris what was once the stern. They are broken in half, the forward low pressure cylinders just have been fell out and now on the debris field. The rest of the engine room is a dangerous and unstable mess of pipes, catwalks and crumbled steel.
James Cameron tried to take an ROV in there but there was actually lots of damage from the impact with the ocean floor. He did however find the crewmen’s spiral staircase
This feels kinda creepy. Not in the "omg the realism" kinda creepy but like knowing what happens next and the cheery music. Makes one afraid of being in the middle of an ocean and being hopeful one doesn't sink.

So psyched!
Waiting patiently for more of the turbine room and auxiliary equipment/generators aft...
You guys so rock.
What a beautiful 3D model, the detail right down to the fire in the coal bunker 16:00
That was my thought to, I was like holy crap they even put the fire in the coal bunker
It's truly amazing all the nooks and crannies on a boat that are never seen by most
It's insane how it took 3 years to build the Titanic and was only on the ocean for 12 days before becoming a destroyed mess deep below the surface.
I'm amazed it took three years period. 😯But yes - it's such a wild shame. :/
This happens when either the CEO of the white star and or the captain neglects the safety of the ship and have contempt for everyone aboard.
Looking at those crew's quarters, it takes a certain breed of man to live and work at sea.
Yet this 3d model has taken over a decade to produce
Yet it’s still funny how the manager of the WSL insisted the ship is unsinkable
This video certainly gives you a different view of how the titanic worked and how big everything really was. A mesmerizing video
Love the music...Sounds like Hymn fo Cherubims
A real piece of art

Try older version of Honor and glorry, it has exactly what you're looking for. Even cabins has info who was where
So beautiful

I like the little nod to the " fire in the coal bunker" theory👍

That was truly incredible 🤩 thank you so much for sharing. I could actually listen to those engines all day ❤
I just discovered last night that near the ash hoist you can go inside the coal bunker and walk up a hill inside and explore the inside of the upper coal bunker. Lots of ducking involved.
This is wonderful! It really brings their magnificent work to life, well done!

Come on that engine rooms so cool
Excellent detail. My only criticism might be that between the ladders and catwalks, it can sometimes be hard to tell vertical from horizontal.
Yeah, ... so I'm gonna buy a VR set pretty much only for this
Titanic Radioactive ☣️☢️☣️☣️☣️☣️

I would wholeheartedly go BROKE funding a Arizona Honor and Glory....
Amazing work..💪🙏🙂
Wow that was great.
To think this was pre WW-I tech.
15:09 - When the Titanic was found in 1985, it was the giant boilers that were spotted first.
her heart and soul The machinery that gave her life
LOL...
20:10 ... let's just jump down an ashhoist tube!
What fun!
:-) ;-)
Thank you for sharing!
Wow. It's amazing! Love it
I would like to see how they passed coal into the ship. That must have been a monumental undertaking.
Now a days they are using oil instead.
No need to have a huge setup of boilers and a lot of men working in that kind of hell like environment.
Somewhat. There were doors that’d open in the side of the hull to allow coal tenders to fill up the ship’s bunkers.
Of course overall getting an ocean liner ready for it’s trip was an impressive feat of logistics for the day.
There's a great video about it by oceanlinerdesigns!
C'est magnifique
It’s sad that we’ll never probably see what the engine room looks like under water
Actually you can see the engine room on the stern part of the wreck. The front low pressure cylinder broke away which shows the extreme forces during the breakup of the ship. I also read somewhere that the condensers attached to the turbine got damaged.
Curious as to what the ambient noise will be like in the turbine room...
i have tons of questions!
How come we have not seen pictures of the "bow kitchen" and the machinery from the werck? Seems like the bow is almost undiscovered.
I was wondering that too. The bow is in reasonably good condition. Should be accessible from the cargo hatch. May be blocked.
The bow is in relatively good shape indeed. However the space where the crew quarters were, was already cluttered with pipes, divider grates, bunk beds and machinery. Are the passages blocked by boxes, cans of paint etc. where they haven't completed the rendering yet?
yes
😊Hi guys, I have a question... when will this project be 100% ready to explode 100% together with the shipwreck?
Iron men worked in this gas chamber. Heat, coal dust, dirt
This feels kinda creepy. Not in the "omg the realism" kinda creepy but like knowing what happens next and the cheery music. Makes one afraid of being in the middle of an ocean and being hopeful one doesn't sink.
Where are the electric dynamos?
What sorcery be this?
Did you get the shaft alley?
no sound in my game on engines why
Please someone do the Queen Mary ❤
😡 captain Smith Mad goes high speed 😅against the iceberg warning and destroyed The beautiful Titanic ship very badly😮
GJ +1
Xbox ps4??
