Vastly too much influence - the Tribunal is a Tribunal and the only side it sees is Maori - the fact is there is much more sides to New Zealand politics, social life, economic life, educational life, health life other than just Maori. The whole focus is on what we can screw out of the rest of New Zealand for Maori. This damns it as an unelected body without accountability and vastly too much power. It needs to be addressed by the so-called "nut-jobs" - yes, the will of the New Zealand people. Yes, democracy is ONE MAN ONE VOTE. There is NOTHING else that is democracy.

Indonsian prisons are shockers & tolerate no nonsense whatsoever & I dare say our recidivism rate would decline drastically if enacted.
Once done we could close all our prisons & sell off & the ongoing costs of sending All criminals to Indonesia would be far less than housing them in NZ & in turn saving the taxpayer.
Maori gangs drug dealers etc if put in place would disappear.

Willie Jackson seems to forget that in 1867 Māori landowners, mostly men, got the vote before ANY other Pakeha males (1879) or females (1893)in New Zealand i.e., particularly Māori men had the vote long before the rest of us (unless you owned land). Willie Jackson has a very curated view of history... Incidentally, I wonder if this fact is reflected in the new history curriculum?

    • @dgm2593
      @dgm2593 4 місяці тому +1

@@bac5040 hahaha! Where did you learn your history? from a pakeha? Your knowledge is incorrect! Ngapuhi did not ask or write to the King of england for a peace treaty!? It was the british empire crown that presented a "peace treaty" to the Ngapuhi chiefs drafted by William Hobson and James Busby. They drafted and planned a treaty simply because the grestest british millitary on planet earth? could not genocide or beat Maori warriors in a war. Secondly the crown wanted our resources to pay off englands war debts. They wanted our resources for trade.
The British government appointed William Hobson as consul to an independent Aotearoa (New Zealand). It sent him here with one goal - to get Māori to sign over sovereignty of all or part of New Zealand to Britain. Hobson would then become lieutenant governor over those areas.
Hobson sailed into the Bay of Islands on Wednesday 29 January 1840. James Busby, British Resident, met him, and the two began planning a treaty that would carry out their government’s intentions.
And alot of what happened is recorded in the Missionaries dairies. And alot of there dairies have been hidden with the truth of what really happened.
William Hobson was sent by crown only a week before the 6th of February 1840 (waitangi day). He only just got to waitangi. He couldnt speak Maori or anything. He was the person who drafted up the treaty not Maori. Henry Williams was the translator who represented Queen Victoria who declared to all the chiefs "that all there land and all your resources and everything you value still belongs to you! Thats why Hone Heke was the first chief to sign! Based on the fact that everything still belonged to us. Which Queen Victoria promised. British migration came flooding in once we signed. We signed to a partnership not ownership! For Maori and pakeha to share power and resources as a partnership not ownership! Thats what we thought until the british millitary started to confiscate land. As soon as that happened Hone Heke cut the british flag down in 1845. He chopped it down 4 times symbolizing the end of the treaty, no more trade, no more partnerships or friendships. No more nothing. So crown moved away from waitangi and Ngapuhi and headed south towards Auckland then Waikato then finally setup parliment in wellington. As they headed south they got the southern tribes and 40 chiefs to sign the english version which said they cede sovereignty. From there the country was built on the english version of the treaty that only 40 southern chiefs signed. The english version and the Maori version dont mean the same thing. 540 Maori signed the Maori version which is the version that out votes the english signatures. The country was supposed to be built on the 540 signatures. Some? or only one of the Ngapuhi chiefs wrote a letter to Queen Victoria complaining about the pakehas misbehaving. We were told not to kill and eat pakeha anymore as we were trying to become friends. So it was better to tell the Queen to tell her generals to tell the british subjects to behave instead of us having to eat them. The chiefs said to pakeha you govern your people and we will govern our people and share power and resources as a partnership not ownership.
Alot of those chiefs didnt sign the treaty as they knew you were going to steal the land. And you did!
Hobson explained the Treaty and urged the rangatira to sign it. He stressed that it would give the British Queen the authority to control British subjects and protect Māori and their lands. It was not to control Maori. Somewhere along the timeline you frauded the treaty and tampered added or deleted the true treaty documents.
But in article 2 of the treaty in both versions Maori and Pakeha. It says?...
In Article 2, the Treaty in Māori guaranteed rangatira ‘te tino rangatiratanga’ - chieftainship over their lands, villages and taonga (treasured things). It also gave the Crown the right to deal with Māori in purchasing land.
(The real issue here is? That, in Maori culture if your "Tino Rangatiratanga status." You are the Chief, The King of your land. It means you are the oldest bloodline either Male or Female of that land. Example: King Charles is Tino Rangatiratanga status in england. Same thing. Except for us its tribal and territorial. This is how we know you stole the land and resources. Tino Rangatiritanga cant sell land. There not allowed to! As King or Chief you cant sell your ancestral lands. This is how we know the pakeha lied and cheated the treaty between 1845 - 1900. You bastards added to the treaty and deleted important documents. Its just your typical thieving lying traits. Its who you are with 200 years of observation. Its just who you are. Not honorable people. This is how we know you cheated the treaty. It doesnt add up? It doesnt make sense? Theres no consistency of what your saying compared to what you are doing. Example: you say all our lands and resources and everything you value still belongs to you? But then you confiscate and steal our land. It doesnt add up. None of it. Actions speak louder than words.
In the English version of the Treaty, rangatira are given ‘exclusive and undisturbed possession’ of lands, forests, fisheries and other property. The Crown was also given an exclusive right to deal with Māori in purchasing land.
In 1845 Hone Heke cut the british flag down to insult and terminate the treaty! Because you pakeha didnt honor by accident misinterpretation or purposely.
Theres no way those Chiefs would give everything to you for nothing. You cheated us with a communication disadvantage. I can speak better english than my ancestors. I can now see through your diplomacy where it all went wrong. The left hand thought this and the right hand thought that?
Ngapuhi chiefs did not cede sovereignty. We wanted a partnership you fools not ownership so you can sell our wealth and sell us out so we can go without? Wakeup pakeha and get real!!!!

Great for Maori in society, but not so great for the Willies and JT’s.

What I hear is all about Maori, what about all the other ethnic groups in NZ, Kiwi's are paying reparation for what happened years ago, so why do they want the country, Willie Jackson is a racist and radicals have caused irreparable damage to NZ, they have now created division that will not be repaired.

Pakeha and Maori hate eachother since 1840. Hone Heke cut the british flag down to insult and terminate the treaty contract in 1845. The two cultures definately misunderstood eachother. Even today we still misunderstand eachother. If pakeha honoured and did the right thing by the treaty. Hone Heke would of embraced the british flag not cut it down.

Thats the first problem. We are not a nation or a country. We are only an extension of the british empire. We are only a colony off the british empire once we signed the treaty. The treaty is not a legal contract by the way. There is no legal enforcement. To apply constitutional laws you have to be a nation first? We are still just a colony off the british empire! What does this mean? It means the crown government cant create any constitutional laws. Game over pakeha! You are going home back to england to your own nation!

The pacific realm is mine. I belong here in the pacific realm. All the islands in the pacific and all the people in the pacific realm are my extended family and bloodline. We have been voyaging the pacific ocean and island highways for thousands of years. So i come from the pacific realm not you! You belong in england in your colonial realm not the pacific realm as this is my realm my turf my Polynesian family. The pacific continent broke away from us in Aotearoa. Hence the polynesian islands became homes in the pacific. And all polynesians were spread out over thousands of years. When Kupe first arrived he thought he was the first person here? He travelled from Tahiti. But he was met by "tangata whenua" people of the land. The very first Maori or Mori as pakeha couldnt pronounce Maori properly it sounded like Moo-ri not Mao-ri. Mori are Maori or the ancient bloodline of Maori meaning the polynesians who ended up in the pacific islands who broke away from us hence our culture and language are all very similar. When Kupe arrived as a young man and discovered long lost family already here. Ancient Maori (mori) he travelled back to the islands as an old man and told the family. Thats when the great migration of only 7 waka paddled here who are my family. The first people here before Kupe are also my family. I come from both famlies so i really know my family history. I can go back 30 generations with ease. And my genealogy goes back even further. So i really belong here in Aotearoa and the pacific realm. Aotearoa is the mainland to the pacific islands.
