It's July in Queens New York and the heat is here! In this short vlog, my boyfriend and I went to see the Fourth of July fireworks with some snacks, went to a tattoo parlor to get some new ink, and tried some new things in the kitchen at home. Thanks for watching!

I love your videos partly because you show us how a 'real' gay man lives. Not like all the guys who travel to Provincetown, Izba, Bora Bora, etc. It is refreshing to see someone who is like me.
BTW, I make iced coffee like this: Into a large container with a lid, I put 1 pound of coffee in 1 gallon of bottled water (without chlorine etc.) . Put the coffee into the water and lay the lid on top (not sealed) and leave it for 24 hours. Strain the liquid into a jug and refrigerate. It gives you instant coffee syrup that lasts for several days, depending on your intake of course. To keep your drink from being diluted by the ice, freeze coffee ice cubes to add to it. :-) Enjoy! As a native New Yorker living in Manhattan all my life, I love living in New York City because it's the best city in the world. You should consider getting a A/C with 12,000 or 18,000 BTU's and that should keep your entire apartment cool. I have an 18,000 BTU energy saver Kenmore A/C in my living room and it cools the dinning room, living room, and kitchen. In both large bedrooms, I have 12,000 BTU energy saver Kenmore A/C's from Sears. I have to keep all 3 on low at 78 degrees, if not, it would be too cold in my 2 bedroom large apartment. Yes, it's been very hot here in New York City.

People say life in NY is so hectic, but I think it really depends. Same with London, lots of greenery and quiet places. Also the activities we choose to be involved in matters, how we design our lives.
I think you can cold-brew coffee by letting it immersed in the refrigerator over night. That also makes it more sweet and less bitter.

Hi Quincy, I love your videos, so refreshing and genuine! FYI, the way I make iced coffee is, however much coffee I want to make, I use HALF the usual amount of water and brew it the usual way. Then I fill a cup, mug or pitcher, depending on how much I made, with ice cubes. Pour the coffee over it and let the cubes melt into the coffee. Add additional ice cubes, and ENJOY!

Thank you guys for sharing life from New York. We have had a few days of rain ☔ here in Chicago. But the temps have been good some days are in the 80s with some humidity but this is Chicago.
Yes iced coffee. I always make it and in the same kinda glass too. I started taking cold showers this summer to cool me down. Lowers my body temperature and feels really good. It cooled down a bit these past few days which is nice. Hope you and Wilson are well. Loved the fireworks and the food looked amazing. Cute hair cut too. The two upsides is you look good wearing very little clothing and a window unit is a lot cheaper to run than a central, for daily operation cost is about half the price of a cup of coffee at a coffeehouse.

@@quincyjay That's what everyone who makes thier own ice coffee does. You cud also buy instant coffee as well when u don't wanna wait for coffee to cool. And just pour it in a pitcher like kool-aid. Mix w sugar and put it in the fridge.
Great vid, as always! Is that AC unit powerful enough for the whole living room? Y’all are gonna be roasting (and that energy bill will soar) if it’s not powerful enough to give you efficient cooling.
I highly doubt it’s powerful enough for that space, it’s supposed to be for a bedroom. We don’t use that one as much though. Let’s see how the electricity bill turns out this month 😳
Hi Quincy. You have created another really fine video. The music is so cool, it dissipated the heat you were describing. Do you and Wilson have travel plans for summer? Summer is my least favorite season, but I manage.
No huge travel plans, since we just were in PVR. I’ll be doing a trip out west a bit later this summer, though. It’s hard to enjoy the summer when it’s 95 and 90% humidity 😅 Thanks for the comment!

Leave the coffee in the coffee pot and stick that in the freezer.
Nice shrimp meal…I prefer more chilled pasta and just lettuce salads in summer, love a caprese salad, and is my main staple in summer…Unless you guys have a “ fan” aversion, buy a fan to circulate the air in that apartment, they are not expensive and will make a huge difference to cool you guys off😅
Hi Quincy I’m happy your boyfriend. Wilson got his first tattoo and ended up getting three tattoos. I don’t have any tattoos that’s scary for me scared to try I just don’t like them on my skin and I’m glad you’re drinking your own iced coffee you made it looks delicious I just don’t like iced coffee with any sugar in it just regular sugar with the sometimes regular milk or half-and-half and that’s what my head sugar was like maybe four years for 4 1/2 years ago but it wasn’t very good, it was really too sweet so now just drink regular coffee like in the winter time with us I’ll get it hot with milk, no sugar and when it’s hot like this is it New York City here it is very very hot. I just get a iced coffee but I didn’t get no iced coffee cause I’m recovering from the flu I had Sunday all the way until now. Well thanks for the antibiotics it’s no more because I always sanitize keep my mask on and you can still catch it so I just have to be careful because I know I can catch it again. I heard that somewhere but I just really careful anyways. Wilsons definitely the better cook. The dish was delicious but I need an airfryer for the shrimp. Also want to make the sauce a little thicker next time. The tattoo was in Norwalk!
