I watch you all the time on youtube. You have a soft simplistic tone while teaching that is calming as I learn from you. Your pacing is perfect for me. You have so many ways to embellish my earing repertoire. Thanks a million for all you do with earrings and design.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment. Yolanda! You absolutely made my day. I'm so happy my projects are appealing to you. That means so much to me. Thank you again for watching.
Do you have a tutorial on stained glass teardrop earrings.I seen image on creativefabrica site.are these done on sublimation blanks or are they different blanks for this,it's so pretty.
Thank you for this great video. I am new to sublimating and like your training. I watched a video recently that subl. the back side with same design. Is this something you do?
Hi, thanks for your comment! Yes, I sublimate the design on both sides. In this video you are commenting on, I show you how to do that step. It starts at about the 11 minute mark. :)
Such a terrific video- TY. Gorgeous designs and I can’t wait to get started. I am new to sublimation. I noticed in your first design, it printed a different color that your image. I know that the color deepens when you press it but this color seemed to changes from a pale blue to a yellow. I have had problems like this with pale images going to yellow/brown and I thought I was over heating. Is it okay for the print to do this?
Hi, thanks for your comment! That's a great question. I'm not sure exactly which flowers you are referring to, but you are right, the printed images are much lighter and less saturated than the final pressed image. So in this case the flower's colors were just becoming more vibrant in the heat. But you are also correct that you can overheat and cause the print to start to turn brown. I don't think that's what happened here, but you certainly want to watch out for that! Thanks for taking the time comment.
I just found your channel. I loved the way you explained everything. I don’t have a sublimations printer yet and have been kind of disappointed in the transfers I bought from Amazon. So thank you for this video and your designs are really beautiful.
I just found your videos and love them thanks for sharing your videos. I’m learning so much from them I’m planning on making some earrings this weekend
Oh my goodness! First what a great video! I learned a ton. I just started sublimating on things and appreciate your tutorial. Second, I've followed you since super early on. As in I remember you doing a review of JenniferMaker's svg design class. I was here when you first started your blog and your youtube later. You have truly bloomed. Your skill and simple instructions are amazing! I love your videos Thank you!
Love these so I order the blanks and got the free designs. But I have a question when I went to print on my Circut I sided them down to 5 x 6.47 and they printed real small. Then I went to print the pdf and it prints right in the middle of the page. What size should I print on my Circut since it dies a print and cut. And how can I move the design to save paper on the pdf. I am very new and not to smart sorry for the questions
Hi, Yolanda! I’m happy to help answer your questions. This project is actually not a Cricut print then cut. :) It is designed for the PDF to print out on letter sized sublimation paper using a sublimation printer. I show this part of the process briefly in the video before I show how to create the earrings. You don’t need a Cricut at all for this project and I don’t use one at all in the video. I hope that makes sense! If you have any other questions, please let me know! 💗
Hi, Patsy! I’m glad you like this project! I don’t sell finished earrings, I’m sorry! I teach earring making and share my patterns so others can make them, too. :)
Hi, yes! A sublimation printer uses special sublimation ink and prints onto sublimation paper. You can buy a sublimation printer, or you can convert certain ink jet printers (that are brand new and have never had ink in them before) for use with sublimation ink. :) I hope that helps!
Hi, yes! Aren't they pretty? :) They are part of the first assortment set of earring blanks linked in the video description. Here's my affiliate link: amzn.to/3pi9Bb9
I've bought those same blanks and similar and have been testing them out before trying to sell. Why would some of the stainless steel hooks be starting to rust? The little loop at the bottom of the ear hook seems to be the weak spot. Is it because that's getting wear and tear from the dangle? I have some with bezels and even the back of the bezel seems to be discoloring.
Hi, thanks for your message! That's interesting! I haven't seen that happen, but I don't usually use the findings that come with the blanks. Are you sure they are stainless steel? They could just be a darker metal color that isn't tarnish resistant, etc.
This video - your instructions, your designs, and the final product - are so great! Thank you!! Btw, what nail polish are you wearing? Fabulous pale pink color looks so pretty!
I totally get that, Cindy! That's why I love to sublimate using Cricut Infusible Ink too. It's so much fun and much less expensive to get started, especially if you already have a heat press for vinyl.
Hi, I just found you here on you tube & I am new to sublimation. I am also doing earrings & I am having a hard time with my heat tape leaving a mark on the sublimation side. I have tried all kinds of different tapes & heat temperatures & pressure & I am still getting them. Do you have that problem with yours? I am selling these, so I can't have that mark on the earrings. Any suggestions?? Thanks so much for any advise.
Hi, thanks for your message. Great question! I don't wrap tape around onto the blank side, so I don't have that issue. But there are a few things you can try. First, I press on both sides and wrap my earrings a certain way so I can press both sides with the same wrap. You can try this technique that I show in the video you replied to, but it's also in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/fOghNxK4Fac/v-deo.html Another idea is if you don't want to press onto the back, you can cut a piece of blank paper and place it on the back and wrap the tape around onto that piece of scrap paper. That way you won't get heat marks on your blank, hope that makes sense!
Yes! Just be careful that that blank hasn’t shifted after pressing. If it does, the ink will continue to transfer while it cools and you could get some ghosting.
Now you have me wanting to make earrings, which I can’t wear unless they’re at least 14k gold. (I have such “special” skin. 🤣😂🤣) I have been wanting to try sublimation, but I worry about the smell/fumes I gives off since I have asthma/COPD. Anyone here know if it will affect that?
Hi, Kathryn! That's a great question. The fumes and smell aren't really strong, in my opinion, but I can't say how they would affect you since you have a medical condition.
Love them, my granddaughters would love them! Thank you for teaching and sharing with us all! Thank you for the patterns it’s appropriate! Hugs Liz x
