I've built this house a few different times, this way quite a few times, made it where each floor was one higher(I like two high windows) and then made it 9x9 instead of only 5x5(for each section that is). In fact just today(September 27, 2020) I was wondering what other materials you might be able to build this with because I am playing a modded series and can't figure out what house to build!

Hi, I took the time to figure how much resources you will need.sorry if my math is a few blocks incorrect You will need 488 wood (7 stacks and 40 wood) 83 glass pane (36 glass will give you more than enough) 329 stone brick (5 stacks 9 stone bricks but you'll need 3 more because of how you craft them, you will also need 1-2 stacks of dirt.With 488 wood. Use 272 of that to craft 1088 planks then use some of those to craft 27 fences, 8 ladders ,4 doors and a fence gate. The rest is for the house. Please note that I included wooden plank flooring in this. Hope this helped

This house is amazing, I built it in about 40 minutes on creative and it is a great house once finished.I made two bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge/settee. Thanks Mike the Master for making this tutorial.
Lol I still do, it's tried and true for me 🤷♂️ It's more fun in multiplayer worlds with friends because everyone's involved in making it and it's much quicker. I've even built a 'modern house' version of it in Creative 😂

Yes I too built it in survival but like many , it was hard for the resources . One easy tip to get logs and wooden stairs quick is by going to nearby villages and takeing their roofs and structures from their house's . Usually there is a village near you the minute you spawn into a new game. hope this helps out alot .

what i do in survival mode is make my house out of wood, save up my cobblestone and when i feel like i have enough, cook it, turn it into bricks and convert the house bit by bit. also, if collecting cobble is going slower for me than usual, i do a gradual conversion, i just do i bit of the house at a time.
It's not that hard to get you just need to smelt some cobble and put the four smooth stone in a square inside a crafting table and then BAM you've got yourself some stone bricks
I built this and it turned out AMAZING! I built in in survival, it almost took out the entire forest that the wood came from! I was a little frustrated because I ran out of resources, ALL THE TIME... but I completed it and it looks AMAZING! Again, this is a cool build 10/10
This house is amazing! I’ve built it many times in survival before it’s basically my first choice. Yesterday I tried a new design for the walls of the house. I made the first floor walls with quarts with spruce wood logs on the edges. I made the rest of the house with birch wood with spruce wood edges of course. Amazing house!

That was the sound of doors years ago in minecraft, they changed the sound sometime around beta 1.8 I think, so he may have preferred the old sound and either used an old version of minecraft or some sort of mod which used the old door sound, I would think.

Great house for survival, I put my bed on the third floor close to all the chests and my crafting and furnace area was next to the terrace, which I think works well.

i knew i was onto something because i always do a 5 x 5 house n add on to make it bigger, this confirms that i was half way to making this but i a nut for redstones, even redstone traps, love traps, love making dungeons with traps and puzzles, even puzzle traps lol
hey mike, a tip that i use, on your superflat world select, do the tunnelers dream, then change the stone from 230, to 130, it gives you that extra space to build up
This is what I use in my survival homes, though I make it bigger, using instead of 5x5 i'll go up to 9x9, and even add another three sections to the back. All the space I need, plus I can build a deck on the roof, as well as a few small changes.
The difference between those two types of roof - the one that goes out to a flat wall is called a gable, and the one that has a slope using corner stairs is called a hip roof.

It saves every 2 minutes. And I built this and it only took me 30-45 minutes to build. Not on creative
xPaeko I disable auto save. I made this in survival too but getting all the parts needed and flattening the land took about 1 hour it's self.

Just a suggestion, but you should make the fences tall and put fences above the balcony and front yard a so spiders can't get in.
