Holy crap I just realized this game had the Captain universe Spider-Man costume which as it reads makes you invincible and gives you unlimited webbing as it should since it’s the Uni-Power. What’s funny and I remember this as a kid I did not like this costume at all because of how it looked and I knew how to read but I never wanted to use this costume regardless so I didn’t actually realize what I had at my disposal. I still had tons of fun playing this game and I even remember complaining that I could not find cheat codes to make me invincible when in reality I could have been invincible the entire time if I had gotten over my dislike for how the costume looked. Not only do I feel really stupid but I am also really impressed that this game actually used the captain universe costume for Spider-Man and it’s just another reason to really appreciate just how good of a game this was and even as old as it is now it still holds up as one of the best Spider-Man games to ever come out and there has been a lot of Spider-Man games over the years and this game still outshines so many of them. So any kid who grew up playing this on either the Nintendo 64 or the PS1 had a fucking awesome childhood for sure.
I had on as a PSOne game and would play it all the time on my PS3 (with a PSOne memory card of course). It really was one of the greatest. Even though the graphics aren't that good (old systems of course) and the attacks don't change much, it had a great story arc, characters, and kept Spider-Man true to his smart-ass self.

@ogiemon Oh yes, he was in the game, in the levels you chase Venom in canalisation. But the weird thing is, you don't have to meet him. You just have to look everywhere and go to a certain place to see him and talk to him (but you don't fight him). When I first played through, I didn't meet him either, second I did.
I use to play this game when I was 5 I beat it more times than I could count and I was 5 so I didn't know how much 10 was :P although when I was 8 the CD broke thanks to my friend ._. I miss this game Dx
if the game were updated to today, this game would be kick ass! like use scorpion from sm1, rhino from sm2, mysterio from sm2, venom just leave alone, doc ock from sm2, carnage leave, and black cat from sm2!

well on the orginal Spiderman like the one you call Spiderman 64 it was released for the nintendo 64 and the ps1. I got it on the Ps1 and those suits are nearly impossible to get unless you beat the game using the black spiderman suit then put in a button cheat you can't really unlock all of those suits. But i did and Damn it was really really really really hard. I suggest dont ever ever ever buy that game. I actually made me cry when i was a kid because even on easy it was super hard.

@diegojoabkn that mission where you crawl above the waterways to find where mary janes being held, youve got to have a look around by crossing different tunnels and you will find the lizard spiderman talks to him

There was another costume that comes from a power-up, where Spidey is white instead of red.
