Been watching this series avidly as I have a '67 Bomber. Mine was a beautiful original condition ( I've seen the old photos of it) until the previous owner passed away, then was left in a damp out building for 10 years. I'm in the process of bringing her back and using some of the products and guidance I see in your videos, so thank you. I hope you do more BB's 🙂

Back in HS the CB450 was the bike to have. When I was a junior Honda came out with the CB750. We all thought you had to be a harry chested beast to ride one. Move forward four years and I found myself in the US Navy stationed in the Philippians. Still wanting a CB450, the Navy Exchange sold new Honda motorcycles and I had enough money to by one. Much to my disappointment the CB450 had been discontinued and replaced with the CB500T. That bike just didn't do it for me. So I settled for a new red CB360T. I had a Filipino friend who's family had a Black Bomber. He loved the prestige of riding my new 360 and I relished riding his Bomber. Jump forward from 1975 to 2010 and I bought a clapped out '72 CB450 K5. I did a full bare metal restoration complete with a new engine. Now at 71 years old I have a awesome 450 to go along with my '05 GL1800 and '81 GL1100. Love that 450, it will be the last bike I own.

That’s awesome. Such a great story. I also have a CB450 K1 which I like better than the Bomber. Just my opinion! ua-cam.com/video/5BtSKOzXQoU/v-deo.htmlsi=0vETYMVuU-evU5Gp

Nice job, love the old 450s. Like you/ I remove and either tag or bag all the components, I have a terrible memory, so I find my way easier in the end. I also take pics of any complicated components before I disassemble. The last Honda I did was a CB 500/4. Cheers from AUS 🦘🇦🇺

That bike came out looking so sharp! It looks great and it’s still a rider to be used on the road. I think the rider/driver condition is often under appreciated in older motor vehicles these days. Great job!

You did a great job on that Bike. I learned a lot from this video. I purchased a 1983 XS650 and I've been wondering how to clean up the chrome rims and the spolks. Maybe the stuff you used on this bike's rims might work. Thanks for an entertaining and instructional video.

Beautiful bike, I'd leave it as it is with the replacement engine. I think if the owner restores the original engine and swaps it back he will forever be trying to find that missing fifth gear!
      Great video well done.

I agree. 5 speed is gonna make it so much better. And no more hope shifts. Where you know it’s a 4 speed, in 4th and you still try for 5th.

Eric you like your bikes like I do. I own 2 Suzuki GT750, 3 Puch 1967 250cc, 1980 Suzuki GT850, 1978 CB750A, 1994 HD Electra Glide. Everyone is a rider surviver. And that's the way I like em. If they got a little oil leak. That OK 👍 just add some.

New subscriber here. My late Father bought a `66 CB450 Bomber in the early 70`s. He kept it up until his passing in 2007. My brother had me paint it, then sold it soon after. Never gave me a chance to buy it. Fast forward, a local Motorcycle shop owner found me on fb from an expired reg. under the seat. He had cleaned up the bike to be auctioned off in Vegas in Jan 2025. He gave me first dibs to buy it. I bought it on July 4th of this year! It`s got issues but it`s all mine!! Of all your vids i`ve watched so far, this is my favorite!!

When hammering out a dent it's helpfull to have a bag of lead shot or sand to rest the object on that will help prevent protruding on the outside. If you want to finish the surface you can use a file to remove high spots, keeping in mind the metal thickness. I'm a body man from back in the day metal work was done.

Hello Eric, first time that I have seen your channel and enjoyed it, well most of it. Two points that stood out to me is that the throttle should have been checked it was working before starting, would have started allot easier, second,, refurb and not restore, good but putting another motor in is a sin, that original motor deserved being done as it is only original once and by the looks of that motor with the heads and barrels off it didn't look that bad, another motor, false economy. You know as well as I do, that motor will never be put back in where it belongs. So my opinion is, well done.
