For war movies, these are great and mostly based in real events. Saving Private Ryan, Hacksaw Ridge, Once we were Soldiers, Blackhawk Down, 13 hours, then these aren't true stories...Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, Apocalypse Now.
That's actually pretty cool having different reactors for films you've already covered. Love Fury too. The ending was a bit over the top for how gritty a lot of the action was, but the acting was top notch.
I don't plan to do it all the time cause it can be a little much but I figure every once in a while could be a cool way for both to see worthwhile movies
Love this film so much. Yeah there are inaccuracies, but there always are. It's important for people to see. To get a little taste of what it's like. It's far too often those who have never experienced war, who are those that are the most eager to start one.
The movie is okay because of the very nice action, the dirty atmosphere and awesome acting. But historically seen it's highly inaccurate and almost ridiculous at some points. There a several scenes I could talk about but some really stand out for being so weird. For example: 3 Shermans didn't stand a chance against a Tiger on an open field. But at that point in the war, Germany had almost no Tiger tanks anymore and the very few remaining ones, were driven back to the very center defensive line. Also: The USA and UK combined lost around 40% more soldiers than Germany lost soldiers fighting the USA and UK. So... it def. didn't happen that a single tank crew killed 100+ SS soldiers. I mean at that point the movie got really ridiculous and pure fantasy. I get it... it's Hollywood and it has to be patriotic, but a bit more sense for history would be awesome and I bet Americans think so as well, since there are enough highly patriotic movies already. Furthermore the scene with the German Pak40 (7.5cm ammo) anti-tank gun was totally off the reality as well. Back then Pak's opened Shermans like cans and they were highly feared and it would have NEVER happened that US troops would simply march towards a Pak like stupid bots, the US troops moved much more tactical when they recognized a Pak (which always was highly protected, much more than in the movie). I mean yeah, in the movie the enemies never hit their target... like Star Wars stormtroopers, but in reality that canon was impressively accurate and on an open field, it was pretty much impossible to not hit a slowly moving target like they showed it in the movie. With less ridiculous scenes like that, the movie would have been much more dramatic, real and better. A real awesome scene was the scene in the city with the girls. That was a very good display of how war affected soldiers and civilians.
@@sonatine3266 I agree with you 100%. I would have appreciated the movie much more if it was more accurate to how precise and calculated the Germans actually were. This movie made being a tanker look cool, not scary like it actually was. Being a tanker then was scary, like you said those pak guns were scarily accurate and they destroyed Shermans. Had they done more research and showed how the Americans ACTUALLY fought those things I would have been much more interested. Although I will say I was already very interested and I loved this movie but if it was more accurate to history id have loved it even more. The whole scene with the Tiger. I just wish it was a Panther. Even a Panther or a Panzer 4 would have been better. I know Tiger phobia was a very real thing but this is the ending days of the war. There were only about 1500 Tigers made, as opposed to the 55,000 Shermans. That whole scene was BS and I wish David Ayer would have portrayed it more accuratley, although I know why he didn't. Most of the audience was like me, they had only ever heard of a Tiger but didnt understand the big whoop about that. The movie is trying to show us in one scene why the Tiger was so feared. They only had one scene to show why the Tiger was such a lethal weapon to be used. I get why the movie did what it did
"US tank crewmen suffered staggering losses against the superior enemy vehicles" Well that's just an outright falsehood. The US Armored corps had around 3500 KIA for the duration of the war. On all fronts. Including guys who weren't even in a tank when they got killed. That may seem like a high number, but compared to infantry or US Army Air corps bomber crew losses, it's a low amount, both in raw numbers or as a percentage.
They throw out these lies in movies and series. Chernobyl must be the worst culprit doing this as almost no fact are correct and are mostly just made up nonsense.
Hard hitter, not my 1st choice recommend for somones 1st war film. Try the great escape as your 1st war film, probably a more softly entertaining entrée 🤣
Seeing Jon Bernthal in this made me realise how amazing it would be to see a reaction series to The Punisher. You can't help but grimace watching that show. It's a masterpiece.
His career boomed compared to the other actors on that show. now you could say that's due in part because he died early and people loved the show and him so it helped his career... but he is 100% deserving of the acting roles he has played. And my sister hated him in this I told her "that's means he did his job"

I hated that woman with everything I had but as I've gotten older I realize she just done her job really good. Because I was a young teenager when that came out
If this made you cry, then stay far away from Saving Private Ryan, which in my opinion, has the most realistic battle scenes I have ever seen in film. Too realistic.

I've read a few Soviet veteran memoirs about the waning years of the war and I think this movie very accurately captures what 1945 Germany looked like. Mass suicides, columns of refugees and Germans POWs, as well as wandering groups of survivors from the concentration camps. Red Army soldiers who took part in capturing the last few Nazi strongholds described facing desperate human wave attacks from Hitler Youth and Volkstrum (civilian militia). It was probably as close to apocalyptic as you could imagine.
This is a *ROUGH* one to have as your first war movie. This movie is about as gritty and hardcore and cold as it gets. A lot of the softer, more character based moments got cut and what's left is all about the shitty side of war and what it does to people. Hope you made it through okay.
@15:37, neither are most of us. That's why it's important for us to know the horrors experienced by those willing to live through them to protect us. They give everything so that outside evil doesn't come to our door. The least we can do is be aware, on some small level, of what it takes. Nice reaction.
The unfortunate reality of things like war is becoming that which you hate. Becoming so desensitized and traumatized that you can no longer differentiate guilty from innocent or right from wrong. I know that I never would have survived WW2. In the position many of these men were thrust into I am certain I would have broken in a way which coming back from would have been impossible. Many tend to overestimate their courage or their constitution, but I know that for every hero there are 10,000 names or more that no one remembers. I'm fairly certain I know on which side of that I would fall.
When it comes to war movies, (especially WW2 movies) I always recommend to everyone "Anthropoid". Granted, it's not very well known, but a really good "behind the front lines" movie in my opinion...

The guy who killed the Nazi used what’s called a submachine gun, which is what the tankers (minus Wardaddy, but that’s whole other thing) are given as small arms for personal protection when leaving the tank. The tank itself is fitted here with 2 medium machine guns (.30 caliber) and 1 heavy machine gun (.50 caliber), plus the 76mm main gun. Now, for the more technical part, the guy who executed the SS officer used a Thompson submachine gun, many know it as the “Tommy Gun.” This is what Bible uses in the climax briefly before running out of ammo. However, Norman and Gordo are issued M3A1 submachine guns, which are more widely known as the “Grease Gun” (as it looked like a 1940s car mechanic’s grease gun tool). These were made to replace the Thompson as it was much cheaper to produce. By this point in the war, tankers would be given Grease Guns. The fact that Fury has a Thompson in their tank is a symbol of how long they’ve been in the war. Before the Grease Gun, tankers were issued only with pistols and one Thompson per tank. This is because the Tommy Gun is a large submachine gun and your space is fairly restrictive inside a tank. You can only fit so much stuff inside a tank, and fitting five Thompsons for every crew member would take up too much space. Now, despite the having been officially replaced by the Grease Gun in 1943 and the last gov’t order of Tommy Guns being placed in Feburary of 1944, the Thompson was never fully withdrawn from combat until the end of the war in 1945. This is why infantryman in the background can be seen carrying both Thompsons and Grease Guns.
This movie ... I love tanks for some reason, I love the cast and the messages it passes are so important, many people ( specially from the new gen ) should watch it and get their brains back on earth 🤦
Interesting fact about the one scene when Norman is forced to shoot a Nazi prisoner (from a historian) The Prisoner was wearing a US coat over his uniform, which according to the Geneva convention is a war crime punishable by death/execution, so the summary execution of that soldier by Norman, while fucked up, was legal according to the rules of warfare in WW2. What does count as a war crime, which is referenced in the film with the chocolate bar joke, is forced prostitution which was common during American allied occupation. Americans would basically offer food and supplies to German civilians in exchange for sex and deny them if they didn’t. Which is a crime and is pretty fucked up (obviously nowhere near the mass rapes by soviet soldiers or the numerous crimes committed by the Nazis and Japanese, but still bad) What is also considered a war crime is when the execute the SS guy with the broken arm, as it is the summary killing of a surrendered combatant.However, it could be considered execution for the crime of killing kids. the SS were (usually) the ones in charge of killing Jews and other “undesirables” for the Nazis and were the far more politically loyal faction of the Nazi military. In fact, while many Wehrmacht (normal German soldiers) did commit a lot of terrible war crimes, the SS were essentially the special forces of the Nazis and specialized in it (in many cases. Not all were Jew hunters or were rampant war criminals, but a good number of them were) Many SS were executed by American soldiers extrajudicially throughout the war, most notably at Dachau concentration camp. After American soldiers discovered the corpses of Jews and other victims, they started shooting all of the Nazi guards in cold blood, killing dozens of unarmed POWs (though many of us can’t say we wouldn’t do the same if faced with the horrors of the Holocaust firsthand. They took their anger and disgust out on who they saw as the perpetrators) Sorry for the long winded comment and extra details, just wanted to share some real life inspiration for many of the scenes in the film.
I'm 50. I did 23 years active duty Marine Corps. I used to like war movies. I still like well-made movies. I wish reactors would stop watching war movies. They all lose a little bit of that innocence each time. I think this is one topic people can just say "I imagine that would suck" and leave it there.
I think movies are the best way for them to interact with war. it's important to hear about what people have done and sacrificed for them but its not necessary to go get traumatized yourself so they get the story at least in a consumable way. it builds gratitude.
@@Diegesis I agree in some regards. Some of the historical accounts are startling and make for good movies. I guess I feel no one should have to feel the impact of that stuff that didn't sign up for it. Reminding yourself it's only a movie only goes so far. I feel concern for people once they get the realization of what the outcomes are or can be. I really didn't mean to go serious with that comment. We chose to do the things we did and go the places we went (ok, we chose to be available to go there, wherever it would be) but it kills me seeing people exposed to that kind of stuff, especially my favorite reactors (not just you guys, I have a few). Generation Kill (set in 2003) was MY first war era. I missed the first Desert Storm by six months, then waited ten years to get in the fight. Then I spent the next 12 doing nothing but. I changed jobs to aircrew to "do more" and ended up doing medevac and Angel flights for a good part of my time. This movie had the best/worst line..."see what a man can do to another man." THAT chills me. I never wish that kind of knowledge on someone else, even fictional.
@@Diegesis That's the hope. I wish it was something they would just take our word for. Modern warfare has changed and it won't be conventional next time. It's gone to drone strikes and hypersonic missiles. The Marine Corps even got rid of all their tanks a few years ago. There probably won't be any face-to-face fighting like this anymore. Hopefully.

Choosing this film as the first time war film is just cruel. There have been so many quality and interesting war films without such graphic trauma. I just feel bad for her.
Good movie. I like that at 19:20 you hear the bullet hit the man before you hear the actual gunshot because that is realistic. A bullet travels faster than the speed of sound. Twice as fast actually. So, you would realistically hear the shot hit the man before the shot itself depending on the distance of the shooter. Nothing is good about people being shot and killed but the realism is definitely commendable.
This is a movie I have never finished. I stop all reactions at the same spot in hopes I might one day revisit it and complete the movie. As soon as rest of tank crew show up to the apartment, I dip.
She's starting off strong with her first war movie lol Definitely need to have her watch all the major/classic war movies Hacksaw Ridge is one of the newer war movies that really impressed me Obviously Saving Private Ryan is a must-see as well

Sadly if this movie wasn’t so damn inaccurate it could have been really good. As someone who loves ww2 European theatre, I can promise you this wasn’t accurate at all. Many more intelligent people have explained why. The tactics. The fury had a 76mm which could have penetrated the frontal armor of the tiger at that range, the dude shooting himself in the head while on fire, charging the tiger and the tiger charging back, the tiger going for the short barreled Sherman’s first, just so many things wrong. Just so many. Kinda broke my heart watching this movie

Tanker with two tours here. Apart from overdoing the tracer rounds until they look like lasers and portraying tankers as Bible thumping hillbillies, they did a pretty good job. Combat is just like that. The only person talking is the tank commander and the gunner shouting On the Way. And it's all directions called to positions, not names. So "Gunner, traverse left" and "Driver, hard right."
to be fair Shia was the only bible thumper and Grady was the only hillbilly so it was a strong choice to make 5 guys feel very different from each other. and Tracer rounds on an overcast day can be pretty close to that so that didn't throw me too bad but i've also only fired tracer rounds out of smaller weapons. you are right about the name thing but i always have to stop myself and question if this is a WW2 thing i'm not familiar with or if it was the same back then too.
@@Diegesis Mostly I'm referring to the fact that snipers, EOD, rangers, seals, etc all got movies where they were depicted as elite badasses, and tankers got Fury, where borderline rapists talk about "speaking American in this tank."
right but if i had been a tanker i would prefer that my movie wasn't one of the propaganda movies. when arianna watched it i brought up how this movie felt to me like a post Generation Kill movie. Directors were looking for a depiction of the soldier that wasn't so hooah hooah the proud and the brave.

Beautiful and violent film! This movie puts u in Norman's shoes and u take his arc. Its really a miracle we won this war. Germany had everything from handguns shoulder fired weapons, to planes artillery ships subs, better than us. If they hadnt attacked Russia, and we didn't win the Battle of the Bulge, within a tear they would have filled Britain with drone exploding jets, had jet fighters, every soldier would have had a German AK, and they would have been nuclear. Sadly, Norman's prediction for Emma came true. best job i ever had means, i love u guys. Norman played the child in the great remake movie,3.10 to Yuma!! sort of based on a true story, the last battle. Type in here, Audie Murphy in WW2!

This is what can be considered a guy click, un-like woman's clicks, a guy click is up front, in your face, condescending and at time brutal. However, endure the gauntlet every single one of them would 100% have your back. I know this is the opposite of women clicks cause not only have I seen it first had, my mother would tell me how much she hated the cattiness of women's groups. Vulgarity and obesities and staples in close groups like this, wearing your ugly side on you sleeve is how most of us fly when not around ladies, but introduce a woman and, for the most part, we'll be more subdued. It was nearly twenty years between WW1 and WW2 the thing is most people do ask themselves why it took that time! It took that long for the women to replace all those dead and wounded men! Apart from not wanting future mothers fu€k up as well as father’s if you lose enough young women your people have no future! War is never a good thing but humanity keeps doing it! Defending your own people and land is one thing going after other people’s is very different! I born in Essex England my hole family fought in both world wars and many others! I have seen what can happen to men coming home from these devastating experiences as for not being made foe war the vast majority are not that’s true! The young man joining them shows them what they have lost not just his lack of ability to keep them alive!

Sherman tanks were shit. The germans could pop us any time they wanted. This is a glorified tank crew. But the best they coulda had was a Sherman. And anyone who actually fought would tell u the germans had better guns in every way.

Why is that girls always cringe or cover their faces at pivotal moments that show the heartlessness of war, and I'm always looking forward to it. I mean, I haven't been to war, so I can't relate to how bad it is, but I can at least stomach watching violence and death in a fictionalized movie.
Pro tip...the last one on one tank scene, the tiger tank is a real ww2 relic, and actually works! It was in a museum, and they got to use it for this film!

Bit late to the video, but a lot of what the tank crew is doing is a side effect of fighting for the better part of 3 years, especially with all the dark humor and callousness on top of having lost one of their own.
i think its a bit more rude to speak another language (and it could be any language) in front of other people if your the only one that knows the language. he didnt express his opinion on it in tthe most PC way lol but it was a different time

Seeing Jon Bernthal in this made me realise how amazing it would be to see a reaction series to The Punisher. You can't help but grimace watching that show. It's a masterpiece.
His career boomed compared to the other actors on that show. now you could say that's due in part because he died early and people loved the show and him so it helped his career... but he is 100% deserving of the acting roles he has played. And my sister hated him in this I told her "that's means he did his job"

I hated that woman with everything I had but as I've gotten older I realize she just done her job really good. Because I was a young teenager when that came out

If this made you cry, then stay far away from Saving Private Ryan, which in my opinion, has the most realistic battle scenes I have ever seen in film. Too realistic.

I've read a few Soviet veteran memoirs about the waning years of the war and I think this movie very accurately captures what 1945 Germany looked like. Mass suicides, columns of refugees and Germans POWs, as well as wandering groups of survivors from the concentration camps. Red Army soldiers who took part in capturing the last few Nazi strongholds described facing desperate human wave attacks from Hitler Youth and Volkstrum (civilian militia). It was probably as close to apocalyptic as you could imagine.
This is a *ROUGH* one to have as your first war movie. This movie is about as gritty and hardcore and cold as it gets. A lot of the softer, more character based moments got cut and what's left is all about the shitty side of war and what it does to people. Hope you made it through okay.

They give everything so that outside evil doesn't come to our door. The least we can do is be aware, on some small level, of what it takes.

The unfortunate reality of things like war is becoming that which you hate. Becoming so desensitized and traumatized that you can no longer differentiate guilty from innocent or right from wrong. I know that I never would have survived WW2. In the position many of these men were thrust into I am certain I would have broken in a way which coming back from would have been impossible. Many tend to overestimate their courage or their constitution, but I know that for every hero there are 10,000 names or more that no one remembers. I'm fairly certain I know on which side of that I would fall.
I agree with the sentiment... from WWII. Since then, we haven't been "protecting" sh*t. We've been conquering, pillaging, and destabilizing.
When it comes to war movies, (especially WW2 movies) I always recommend to everyone "Anthropoid". Granted, it's not very well known, but a really good "behind the front lines" movie in my opinion...

The guy who killed the Nazi used what’s called a submachine gun, which is what the tankers (minus Wardaddy, but that’s whole other thing) are given as small arms for personal protection when leaving the tank. The tank itself is fitted here with 2 medium machine guns (.30 caliber) and 1 heavy machine gun (.50 caliber), plus the 76mm main gun.
Now, for the more technical part, the guy who executed the SS officer used a Thompson submachine gun, many know it as the “Tommy Gun.” This is what Bible uses in the climax briefly before running out of ammo. However, Norman and Gordo are issued M3A1 submachine guns, which are more widely known as the “Grease Gun” (as it looked like a 1940s car mechanic’s grease gun tool). These were made to replace the Thompson as it was much cheaper to produce. By this point in the war, tankers would be given Grease Guns. The fact that Fury has a Thompson in their tank is a symbol of how long they’ve been in the war. Before the Grease Gun, tankers were issued only with pistols and one Thompson per tank. This is because the Tommy Gun is a large submachine gun and your space is fairly restrictive inside a tank. You can only fit so much stuff inside a tank, and fitting five Thompsons for every crew member would take up too much space. Now, despite the having been officially replaced by the Grease Gun in 1943 and the last gov’t order of Tommy Guns being placed in Feburary of 1944, the Thompson was never fully withdrawn from combat until the end of the war in 1945. This is why infantryman in the background can be seen carrying both Thompsons and Grease Guns.

Interesting fact about the one scene when Norman is forced to shoot a Nazi prisoner (from a historian)
The Prisoner was wearing a US coat over his uniform, which according to the Geneva convention is a war crime punishable by death/execution, so the summary execution of that soldier by Norman, while fucked up, was legal according to the rules of warfare in WW2.
What does count as a war crime, which is referenced in the film with the chocolate bar joke, is forced prostitution which was common during American allied occupation. Americans would basically offer food and supplies to German civilians in exchange for sex and deny them if they didn’t. Which is a crime and is pretty fucked up (obviously nowhere near the mass rapes by soviet soldiers or the numerous crimes committed by the Nazis and Japanese, but still bad)
What is also considered a war crime is when the execute the SS guy with the broken arm, as it is the summary killing of a surrendered combatant.However, it could be considered execution for the crime of killing kids. the SS were (usually) the ones in charge of killing Jews and other “undesirables” for the Nazis and were the far more politically loyal faction of the Nazi military.
In fact, while many Wehrmacht (normal German soldiers) did commit a lot of terrible war crimes, the SS were essentially the special forces of the Nazis and specialized in it (in many cases. Not all were Jew hunters or were rampant war criminals, but a good number of them were)
Many SS were executed by American soldiers extrajudicially throughout the war, most notably at Dachau concentration camp. After American soldiers discovered the corpses of Jews and other victims, they started shooting all of the Nazi guards in cold blood, killing dozens of unarmed POWs (though many of us can’t say we wouldn’t do the same if faced with the horrors of the Holocaust firsthand. They took their anger and disgust out on who they saw as the perpetrators)
Sorry for the long winded comment and extra details, just wanted to share some real life inspiration for many of the scenes in the film.
When Maple said she thought she was looking at a forest I thought the same thing when I first saw Fury.

I'm 50. I did 23 years active duty Marine Corps. I used to like war movies. I still like well-made movies.
I wish reactors would stop watching war movies. They all lose a little bit of that innocence each time.
I think this is one topic people can just say "I imagine that would suck" and leave it there.
I think movies are the best way for them to interact with war. it's important to hear about what people have done and sacrificed for them but its not necessary to go get traumatized yourself so they get the story at least in a consumable way. it builds gratitude.
@@Diegesis I agree in some regards. Some of the historical accounts are startling and make for good movies. I guess I feel no one should have to feel the impact of that stuff that didn't sign up for it. Reminding yourself it's only a movie only goes so far. I feel concern for people once they get the realization of what the outcomes are or can be. I really didn't mean to go serious with that comment.
We chose to do the things we did and go the places we went (ok, we chose to be available to go there, wherever it would be) but it kills me seeing people exposed to that kind of stuff, especially my favorite reactors (not just you guys, I have a few).
Generation Kill (set in 2003) was MY first war era. I missed the first Desert Storm by six months, then waited ten years to get in the fight. Then I spent the next 12 doing nothing but. I changed jobs to aircrew to "do more" and ended up doing medevac and Angel flights for a good part of my time.
This movie had the best/worst line..."see what a man can do to another man." THAT chills me. I never wish that kind of knowledge on someone else, even fictional.
Well the hope is that if people are aware of a tiny taste of how bad war is they won't be so keen for the next one
@@Diegesis That's the hope. I wish it was something they would just take our word for. Modern warfare has changed and it won't be conventional next time. It's gone to drone strikes and hypersonic missiles. The Marine Corps even got rid of all their tanks a few years ago. There probably won't be any face-to-face fighting like this anymore. Hopefully.

Good movie. I like that at 19:20 you hear the bullet hit the man before you hear the actual gunshot because that is realistic. A bullet travels faster than the speed of sound. Twice as fast actually. So, you would realistically hear the shot hit the man before the shot itself depending on the distance of the shooter. Nothing is good about people being shot and killed but the realism is definitely commendable.

Sadly if this movie wasn’t so damn inaccurate it could have been really good. As someone who loves ww2 European theatre, I can promise you this wasn’t accurate at all.
Many more intelligent people have explained why. The tactics. The fury had a 76mm which could have penetrated the frontal armor of the tiger at that range, the dude shooting himself in the head while on fire, charging the tiger and the tiger charging back, the tiger going for the short barreled Sherman’s first, just so many things wrong. Just so many. Kinda broke my heart watching this movie

Tanker with two tours here. Apart from overdoing the tracer rounds until they look like lasers and portraying tankers as Bible thumping hillbillies, they did a pretty good job. Combat is just like that. The only person talking is the tank commander and the gunner shouting On the Way. And it's all directions called to positions, not names. So "Gunner, traverse left" and "Driver, hard right."
to be fair Shia was the only bible thumper and Grady was the only hillbilly so it was a strong choice to make 5 guys feel very different from each other.
and Tracer rounds on an overcast day can be pretty close to that so that didn't throw me too bad but i've also only fired tracer rounds out of smaller weapons.

@@Diegesis Mostly I'm referring to the fact that snipers, EOD, rangers, seals, etc all got movies where they were depicted as elite badasses, and tankers got Fury, where borderline rapists talk about "speaking American in this tank."
right but if i had been a tanker i would prefer that my movie wasn't one of the propaganda movies. when arianna watched it i brought up how this movie felt to me like a post Generation Kill movie. Directors were looking for a depiction of the soldier that wasn't so hooah hooah the proud and the brave.

Beautiful and violent film! This movie puts u in Norman's shoes and u take his arc. Its really a miracle we won this war. Germany had everything from handguns shoulder fired weapons, to planes artillery ships subs, better than us. If they hadnt attacked Russia, and we didn't win the Battle of the Bulge, within a tear they would have filled Britain with drone exploding jets, had jet fighters, every soldier would have had a German AK, and they would have been nuclear. Sadly, Norman's prediction for Emma came true. best job i ever had means, i love u guys. Norman played the child in the great remake movie,3.10 to Yuma!! sort of based on a true story, the last battle. Type in here, Audie Murphy in WW2!

This is what can be considered a guy click, un-like woman's clicks, a guy click is up front, in your face, condescending and at time brutal. However, endure the gauntlet every single one of them would 100% have your back. I know this is the opposite of women clicks cause not only have I seen it first had, my mother would tell me how much she hated the cattiness of women's groups. Vulgarity and obesities and staples in close groups like this, wearing your ugly side on you sleeve is how most of us fly when not around ladies, but introduce a woman and, for the most part, we'll be more subdued. Sherman tanks were shit. The germans could pop us any time they wanted. This is a glorified tank crew. But the best they coulda had was a Sherman. And anyone who actually fought would tell u the germans had better guns in every way.

Why is that girls always cringe or cover their faces at pivotal moments that show the heartlessness of war, and I'm always looking forward to it. I mean, I haven't been to war, so I can't relate to how bad it is, but I can at least stomach watching violence and death in a fictionalized movie.
Pro tip...the last one on one tank scene, the tiger tank is a real ww2 relic, and actually works! It was in a museum, and they got to use it for this film!

Bit late to the video, but a lot of what the tank crew is doing is a side effect of fighting for the better part of 3 years, especially with all the dark humor and callousness on top of having lost one of their own.
