"Crawl (Carry Me Through)" How long will this take? How much can I go through? My heart, my soul aches I don't know what to do I bend, but don't break Somehow I'll get through 'Cause I have you And if I had to crawl Well, you'd crawl too I stumble and I fall Carry me through The wonder of it all is you See me through Oh, Lord, where are you? Do not forget me here I cry in silence Can you not see my tears? When all have left me And hope has disappeared You'll find me here And when I had to crawl Well, you crawl too I stumble and I fall Carry me through The wonder of it all is you See me through When everything I was is lost I have forgot but you have not When I am lost, you have not lost me When everything I was is lost I have forgot but you have not When I am lost, you have not lost me, you have not lost me And if I had to crawl Well, you'd crawl too I stumble and I fall Carry me through The wonder of it all is you See me through
I'm not christian at all, but this song makes me think that someone is looking after us, up above. I don't know who, I don't know what but there's definitely someone or something! It's a sweet and beautiful song!
One God in three persons. Although not exactly accurate, a good description is water, ice and steam. They are the same thing in 3 different forms. Such is the "easiest" explantation of the trinity. Although in truth, humanity will never fully grasp it
I'm an atheist, so i have kinda a problem with catholic music groups in general, but sometimes their songs are that good that it can't be ignored, like this one. Superchick is one of my favorites.
@aidagatch It doesn't matter what SHE'S talking about. This is one of those songs that could be about anyone: God, friend, family member, lover, whatever. It's just up to individual interpretation.
@aidagatch Verse from the song: Oh Lord, where are you? Do not forget me here I cry in silence Can you not see my tears? When all have left me And hope has disappeared You find me here
As an FYI, the Greek word for "church" is "ekklesia" and it means an assembly or congregation. An assembly is "an assembling or coming together of a number of persons, usually for a particular purpose" and a congregation is "a group of persons gathered for worship, prayer, etc, esp in a church or chapel." So a person can have a "church" with a group of friend while talking about God. A church or chapel are simply buildings used to gather a large "church."
im not religious, but i am spiritual. there is something out there greater than myself. i dont believe in a creator, but i cannot be the greatest power can i? the cow that i eat to live, the water i drink, the air i breathe, all powers greater than myself. and they all see me through. my higher power is life. you may not agree, but to me, GOD is an acronym for "good orderly direction".
is the internet really that important that you two need to argue on such a beautiful song, with such a beautiful message? just listent o the words, and accept what eachothers opinions are.
You're right! People like that are what scares young people, as well as older people away from faith. How can you call yourself a Christian when you think it's all about "Going to church" You can tell someones a Christian by the way they love "They will know we are Christians by our love" Yes, church helps with your faith by, it is no where close to being a true Christian. When it's all said and done a church is just a building. Real faith is something you can't see or teach it's in the heart.
Psalm 21 (in the Holy Bible) As Jesus was on the cross, he started praying that psalm, physically couldnt continue but I guess He wishes we continue praying that psalm until the end... go to your Bible and check out how it ends ;)
You should be :) It's alot more fun than most people think! Especially if you go to a community like The Salvation Army, they are SO much fun! Trust me, I'm there :)
i have to crawl but no one crawls with me. stumble and fall through it all but no one carrys me through. i c the wonder of it all is him but i cant see him through. oh lord where r u? did u forget that im here?
Well this song sure brings back some memories, when i first heard the song it didn't mean to much, but now for me at least, its like the saddest song i ever heard, well thats my opinion of course.
@Zeiwo Thank you for commenting. And im not ignorant, im just a history geek. modern Athiests may define themselves by the denation of all higher religions but their base hatred lies in christianity. Athiests started from pagans who explicatly worshiped the devil. and while i thank you for your comment, I do take minor offense at your accusatino of my ignorance. Im just well read,
@missyoober you just put the song down by saying that your listening to it in 2010. its saying you are were listening to it last year but not this year
I totally agree with you Squeezie101 just because one person said something like that doesn't mean it's true or all people of the same religion or race believe it for example if I told you to get a job because it would make you go to heaven would you believe me and think that every Christian believes that? I know this is really exadurated but it gets my point across. So yeah i totally agree with you Squeezie101 you cant blame a entire religion from the wording of 1 person.
Sharing my belief and my opinion isn't imposing. It's just sharing. I find people who feel threatened by other people's beliefs use the impose to hide behind because they think the negative connotation and misuse of the word will intimidate the person into submission. I am not intimidated. Plus, you are also making false accusations against me, very mature. You certainly made a prevailing point. /sarcasm
@a0coocoobrain0o0o0o But seriously, this is not the place for this kind of thing! UA-cam is not a shrink, not a place for suicide notes and cetainly not a place for sympathy posts! I love this song as much as everyone else who watched this video but I don't take secret messages from it about death, this is a happy song! It's about a girl in love with a commited partner. I do not want the mood spoiled by some moping teenager saying that they hate their life. Take this to a doctor but not here!
@donturneround you know what dude. i don't know what you have been through and i don't even know if youl bother to read this but... so many times before i found god i had questioned my life and thought about suiscide i really wanted to die but now i know that i have a purpose and i have someone who loves me someone who made me it sounds sappy but I LOVE GOD and nothing can keep me from him
@94ree I was looking in to Christianity right? Cuz I thinks it's interesting. So like I have a question if that all right..... So in Christianity there the holy spirit, The real god, and then Jesus the son of god right? But I was thinking who I was like pray to...Since Jesus is the son of god, should I pray to god or Jesus or the holy spirit. And also why will The son of god let himself be executed by just normal people. I mean he IS the son of god right? so he is immortal. How can he just die just by being crucified...I'm sorry i really don't have any intention to make fun of and degrade your religion at all. I honestly just want to know more bout it
Let me try to answer your question. Technically there are three Gods but they are one. This is known as the holy trinity. specifically we are supposed to pray to God the father but in Jesus name. Jesus was the willing sacrifice, it was God the fathers will for him to die this way to save a sinful humanity. this is revealed when he prayed in the garden before he was taken into custody (ie not my will but yours Matt 26:39). As pointed out throughout the bible, Jesus is the sacrificial lamb that dies instead of us so we can have a way out of this sinful existence. hope this answers your questions! :)
What you need to do is ask a God-fearing pastor about the doctrine of the trinity. Otherwise, this could become a long conversation for the youtube comment section. But if I had to sum it up I would say that all three exist both separately and together, so it doesn't matter who you pray to because they are all the same God. The important thing is that you are earnestly and humbly praying about your faith, your needs, the needs of others, and the faith of others.
Another thing is, God sent his son down to earth to live among us humans and experience what we experienced. So when he was on this earth, he lived for about thirty years in this human body, experiencing a human life. And when he was crucified, his human body died and he went down to hell for three days to bet up Satan and take back the symbol of authority over death. Then, he came back to earth for a while in another body that wasn't exactly human--since his human body was dead, and he hung out with his friends for a while. Then he ascended, and went back to heaven. So, no, his human body wasn't immortal, none of the human bodies ever are, but our souls are. It just depends on whether you're with God or with the enemy. You choose either eternal life or eternal suffering(death).
I am immature, it's the beauty about putting out an opinion on the internet, the fact that I can say just about anything I want. And, hey, false accusations, but who's going to judge? Certainly not you. Your first comment sounded like you were belittling people who believed in such Gods. And I never meant to intimidate you, I meant to make a mildly douchey remark as a youtube commenter would. Also, this is the 21st century, so let people believe what they like. Don't fault them for it.
This song is still the best after 11 years. The meaning is so deep and i love it.
im addicted such a deep meaning to their songs
I've been listening to this song for years now. Never gets old 💔🤍.

"Crawl (Carry Me Through)"
How long will this take?
How much can I go through?
My heart, my soul aches
I don't know what to do
I bend, but don't break
Somehow I'll get through
'Cause I have you
And if I had to crawl
Well, you'd crawl too
I stumble and I fall
Carry me through
The wonder of it all is you
See me through
Oh, Lord, where are you?
Do not forget me here
I cry in silence
Can you not see my tears?
When all have left me
And hope has disappeared
You'll find me here
And when I had to crawl
Well, you crawl too
I stumble and I fall
Carry me through
The wonder of it all is you
See me through
When everything I was is lost
I have forgot but you have not
When I am lost, you have not lost me
When everything I was is lost
I have forgot but you have not
When I am lost, you have not lost me, you have not lost me
And if I had to crawl
Well, you'd crawl too
I stumble and I fall
Carry me through
The wonder of it all is you
See me through

Going to church makes you as much of a Christian, as going to mcdonalds makes you a burger.
It is a good point but it doesn't make sense that you would post that here per se
