What is there to say that anyone who's had the good fortune of finding Mr.Skinner's channel hasn't already..These mini documentary episodes are TOP SHELF and the soothing effects of Mr. Skinner's delivery is impossible to beat..Like watching a DEATH VALLEY DAYS of the 50s with our own Will Rogers Jr. in Mr.Skinner..As always this is what I wish the cultural mind rot of the media today could emulate..Thanks Mr. Skinner
No one could play the part of Bill Tilghman like Sam Elliot, and no one could narrate it better than you. My Dad grew up in times of Bonnie, and Clyde, and several other villain's, all he had to say was, "they were cold blooded killers." They try to romanticize, and make these insane people look good, when making movies, not the real likeness of them. Some people say, "they robbed from the rich , and gave to the poor," but they gave to their selves, without thought for others.
Is Bill Simmons was alive and seeing these Police murder innocent blacks and Asians he be real sickened by it but you wouldn't let the victims and their families unjustified he would get the victims Justice and give their families some peace by going after these guys and then he would tell them that he shot them how does it feel now

@mr. Skinner, thank you sir for all the hard work that goes into all tour videos. We would not know such great americana without you. Sir i applaud you. My thanks will never be enough.
This was awesome. I really enjoyed it, thank you Jerry. I've been playing catch up on about 10 of your most recent documentaries, and enjoying them all. As a long time subscriber.......I've been so busy, I fell behind on your wonderful work.
I am so glad you did something on Marshal Tilghman as I have an uncle who grew up with his son. My uncle was born on Oklahoma when it was a territory and he used to tell me stories about him. Tilghman was more real and is so underrated compared to many others. Not many would want to be doing his job at 70. Thank you for this video.

Fascinating recent history. NYC had telephone service in 1884 and subway service in 1885 while our people were dealing with outlaws and street shootouts. Mr Skinner thank you for bringing these vivid stories to us to remind us of the valor of the lawmen and their families.
Do you know what type of handgun Marshal TILGHMAN carried on the night he was murdered? The movie shows him carrying what looks like a Colt Peacemaker. Yet an online article posted by someone who said he was Marshal TILGHMAN’s relative said he was carrying a”pocket pistol” due to an unspecified medical condition which precluded the Marshal from wearing a traditional gun belt. Thanks in advance. Great video.
I am SO glad to see a new video from you Mr. Skinner! Happy Father's Day! I appreciate your dedication to detail. You provide (in my opinion) the best HISTORICAL integrity of any documentary ever. You are taking me on your journey of discovery like a fly on a wall. Yes! I agree Sam Elliot had the 'smarts' to marry Kathern Ross! For me (as a woman) would say, Kathern knew a GOOD man when she saw him.
Great documentary, so interesting. Bill was a handsome man and a true hero. Jerry, have you narrated any books? If not, you need to, you have an awesome voice and inflection for narrating. I have tried to listen to western books but so many narrators have a flat voice and I just can't listen.
I got to tour Bill's house in Chandler Okla. His room is upstairs on the left or upper East room. The balcony was his fortified shooting platform for cover the north side of the house. His wife's kitchen was large for the day and time. She cooked food for the inmates of the jail. His grave is on a cemetery hill on the west side of town.
Wow....great documentary on Bill Tillman. Thank you Mr. Skinner....it was so interesting. The State of Oklahoma should clean up a two block area around the Monument of Tillman....in Cromwell. What a dump that treacherous city turned out to be. That is what they received for being the place Tillman was killed when he tried to bring law and order to the corrupt city. Thank You for another wonderful story. 🍃🇺🇸🕊
Be nice if you could do something regarding old time prize fighter Bob Fitzsimmons, who rubbed shoulders with Bat Masterson, Wyatt Earp, "Judge" Roy Bean & Teddy Roosevelt. ECT.

Bass Reeves has them beat by a mile if there was anyone else who outdid Wyatt Earp Bat Masterson and Bill Tillman it was Bass Reeves you should do a video on him next the best US Marshal in history
I use to work in and around a lot of these places in the oil field and; I heard all kinds of stories about the Wild West and the crime in most of these early Oklahoma towns. Well; oil field towns are still as wild as ever. Or; was up until the big boom bust in 1980 /81. Getting into a fist fight, knife fight or simply stabbed usually in the legs or cut up real bad was as easy as simply walking in a dark bar and trying to get your night vision and someone would lip off and a smart ass comment was all it took Or; “by god if you kick my ass; I’ll buy the beers if you lose; you’re buying the beers for the whole damn night and you’re be in a full out knock em out fight. Afterwards! The loser would be paying or go broke. I was an oilfield welder and we worked the rigs by day and partied drank and fought till 1: or 2: am just about every night. If someone was missin; they were more than likely in jail and waiting to get bailed out. One town was so rough they had every table and bench seat bolted to the floor and after midnight they collected all the glass mugs and bottles and exchanged them for Dixie cups and free beer till 12:30. That was in Sayer, Oklahoma and every night. I saw some really good fights and participated in many. The oilfield day’s was fast and furious and I made up to $52./hr with my welding rig and there’s no part of a drilling rig I haven’t built. Then; I became an offshore commercial diver and welder but the oil patch was 100% domesticated and tame and frickin boring.
Ps towns near Indian reservations would shut down at sunset and the lights of the bars would be flashing from one end of town to the other end and the idea was to start at one end and work your way to the motel and if you took a little effort you wouldn’t be alone. I never saw a welder lay out the next day though. We made good money and by 7:30 you had already put in two and a half to three hours in and was bust’n butt; building or repairing some part on a rig. The tool pusher or driller would run you off in a heart beat. I stayed on one rig for 57 days straight making $52. An hour and some nights all night and day for three or four days. I’d rest in the seat of my welding truck a few hours only if the driller said to. I’d eat tuna, crackers and pork n beans and drink burnt rig coffee.
When I became an adult and about to have children she went to get us our degree of Indian certificate, but was not able at first because of no birth certificate. So, she got her dad sign an affidavit and was able to get a belated certificate @@JerrySkinner1943
