Nice! Dontcha just love serendipity? My mom was born and raised 30 miles east of Nashville. A town called Lebanon. The Allman Bros went to school there. Killer crystals and fossils!

    5:53 I believe you’ve got yourself a dripstone/cave formation there
Calcite makes up most cave formations like that, it’s got the texture
    Cool!

I think both Ariana's piece at 7:15 and the "flowy" piece Kyle was looking at at 5:30 were each pieces in a cave system and possibly part of stalactites or stalagmites. The patterns are very reminiscent of dripping or slow flowing water.

Yea,it was like someone had litterally torn down a beautiful cavern somewhere to make the road side. Such a shame

It's good to see Arianna back in your videos. Nashville was built on a Limestone Basin. There are lots of aquatic fossils here that can be found at about any road cut through the hills (Old Hickory Blvd. and Briley Pkwy just to name a couple.) Just watch out for the crazy drivers so you don't get run over.

Bro!, fossil hunting on the side of the road is like literally just the coolest thing there is. Like a few years ago I was in France with my parents and best friend and literally just on the side of the road there's this Mountain of rocks and stuff and then I'll be pulling out some 30+ belemnite fossils plus a small Ammonite that i still have! A tiny little one that is lile stuck into the matrix which is awesome. Anyways awesome video and have fun on your tour!!!

FYI not all calcite is UV reactive. And some quartz is reactive. Around St. Louis quartz has a subtle red response and around haunted ridge and Washington county MO it has both yellow and red response. So good luck.

Who would have thought millions of years ago that some day a man and woman would be digging for remnants of the existence of these plants? Think about it. Hard to wrap the mind around how long ago it was and that so many of these plants disappeared except for their impressions in mud which is now rock.
