This video is a tutorial on Bearings. Please make yourself a revision card while watching this and attempt my examples. Straight away then move to my video on Bearings 2 - Exam Questions 22. This video is for students attempting the Higher paper AQA Unit 3 Maths GCSE, who have previously sat the foundation paper. Explanations are aimed at being as simple as possible and so students who previously did the Foundation paper can access. They would also be useful for students who have always sat the higher paper. www.hegartymaths.com www.hegartymath...

Hegarty: "Today we'll learn three-figure bearings"
Also Hegarty: "95"
Also also Hegarty: *Forgets the degrees sign on every single one*
If you can use corresponding angle theorem then it is good idea to use it. Alternatively if you measure accurately you should also be fine. Prefer to use corresponding able theorem where you can. Glad ideas help. Mr hegarty
what is the app that u use for solving
wtf happened at 7:09 it sound like someone slapped you
Speed Demo I'm ok and noone slapped me. :-) If you have 30 secs it would be great if you could vote for me in the competition. Thanks loads. Take care. Mr H :-) www.virginmediabusiness.co.uk/pitch-to-rich/start-up/hegartymaths/

Hi Kim - happy if I helped in some small way. Best of luck in that exam. Mr H
He always drops his calculator😂
I can't believe you needed a calculator to work out 360 - 114
Can u tell me when we should take 0degrees and 180 degrees in a protractor like at 12:58 you mentioned that we take 60 as 0 is in the beginning...what does that mean
you have literally saved my life on multiple occasions... thank you!!!
thanks i have mock exams next week and this video helped me a lot, thanks.
did he die at 7:09

Omg when he got shot by the bullet i thought he died but then he carried on talking so dw guyssss this is what u call a mad survivor
Please do the new GCSE spec!
Hey mate, as far as I'm aware Hegarty maths is still quite a good resource. I never understood Sim. Equations, but thanks to Heg. I managed to get that section right in my most recent test.
I'm fairly confident this online playlist bumped me from a C(5ish) to a B(6). Hoping to get an A (7) in my finals this summer. I've prepared the rabbit's foot.
Also, just FYI I'm Yr 11 currently, so if you're in a lower year the above boundaries are complete nonsense to you. Why did they change the system so much? X
BMSR Ikr and do u do exam with AQA ? Maths?
meh you get used to it
Agreed! Would be super useful if Hegarty Maths maybe covered the new stuff in the curriculum if they haven't already covered it
thank you very much your video is very helpful for me before my mid-term exam :D
Kimberly - delighted to have helped and that's great news! Check out the website for loads more GCSE topics. Best regards. Mr H
check at 13;03.he measure 60 degree, and reflex angle is then 300. and he says it is 360. please correct it
The 60 degree angle and reflex angle of 300 make a full circle that is 360 degrees.
You're most welcome!
Thank u so much. This video helped me more than my teacher.
tysmm for this!! i have my bmat tomorrow and this helped me recap so much!!

did you pass?
Thank you so much! I have exams coming up, and needed to learn bearings which were really difficult for me previously. This video cleared it all up, now I'm confident with bearings:D
thanks sir what a lovely video has helped a lot without u all my questions regarding bearings would have been wrong
I don't necessarily need to measure the bearings by protractor if the question have provided the angles right? For example ' Bearings of B from A is 060 what is the of bearing C from B'. That sorta question. I just have to figure it out without using protractor right?
wow!!! This is simply superb! I'm so, so glad to have found this.
after watching this Ive really got my bearings on the subject !
Why is this triggering ASMR lol
wow cant believe that i dont understand this piece of cake O.o i just dont get the basic. thank you so much

Cool
It was really fine helping me👏💪👍😉😀
THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.
wow i finally understood it ..... thanx man
I don`t know what I`m missing here. I observe that in Trigonometry an angle measured clockwise is considered a negative angle. I must, then, simply accept that all Bearings are positive and measured clockwise ?
Then why not make Trig angles +ve in the clockwise direction ?
Thank you so much for helping me
Thanks for this video( and all the videos). They've been helpful. :)

How do you know the lines are parallel? Can you just assume they are in an exam question?
Dear Elin Bird because both lines are North lines they must be parallel as both are in the North direction. Hope that helps and best wishes with your maths. Mr H www.hegartymaths.com/

can we solve it without the use of protactor?
We now pray for HEGARTYMATHS as he died of being shot on the head via 7:09
I hope there is not a big difference because I'm doing the OCR exam board not AQA

Why do you measure anti-clockwise when finding a from c
OMG i kinda get it.......i think i might be alright with my math test tomorrow....
In your first example, you drew 2 lines, one for (A) and one for (B) from north as a starting point, but how long are they actually? Because it is hard to say if they are equal in size.
Ashraf pathaan it doesn't matter it is just so you can measure it easily with a protractor so you can line up the 0 line
Good info but no need to finish each sentence with OK.it becomes irritating.
Subbed, liked, shared.Great vid!!😀😀
btw I hope you make decent money from these
Thanks very much.. I really understand now.. Tomorrow i will have maths exam for the checkpoint.. Wish me luck!
i love this videos so much. it helps me understand better thank skl
