Ehh most everyone can absolutely do these jobs. Not a high threshold of entry to get into basic level terraform construction they're doing. Are you relatively fit? Can you learn to operate some levers? You're in.
There's a difference between "not every can do this job" , and "not everyone can do this job at an expert level" most everyone can pick up a shovel and do manual labor and training. My first job was in construction. I was eighteen. I handed the guy a dirty and ripped application and he handed me a hardhat lol. It was a good job. But it was in no way a job "not everyone can do"

@@sanandn.r7889 what? You mean this particular problem right here? Yeah I could probably figure it in out. It's essentially a physics puzzle. Ah but the point of contention was about construction work as a whole being a pretty versatile and easy to get the hang of job market than pretty much anyone off the street could do with the right gumption. Definitely not a job that "not everybody can do" most people with all their appendages, and even some missing certain ones could do this job. Now could they all do it well? Kinda true, but at the same time some people will never quite get it down. Either they lack the hand eye coordination, or just lack the IQ to figure out how to do those things.

Over the years I’ve had to have horses buried, had to hire a fork lift operator for the job. These operators showed much compassion & understanding about our loss of a beloved animal, which had been a part of my life for many years. I’m amazed at how gentle they were in handling the deceased horse, placing gently into their final resting place. Knowing the animal is at peace, was treated with kindness & respect is such a blessing. The ability of these men to handle this heavy equipment with such finesse & not cause any harm made a difficult time so much easier to bear. In each case they responded quickly to the call & the cost was very acceptable. I have much respect for these operators & their willingness to help bring closer in a very emotional time. Thank you to all operators who answer the call to help in this situation. It is not easy to set yourself up for the emotions you will face, but believe me it is very much appreciated.
I agree with you on the skill of the operators. But, what harm they could possibly cause to a dead horse or even human? If you love that horse so much why don't you join hands with other people to bury it with your own hands, like you would do with your family members, instead of just hiring an excavator to handle it?
you talk like the horse has a soul like a human... humans are not animals- tho at times some act like them...

@@Miki-shinanoHe was referring to the fact that most forklift drivers aren’t certified but this guy definitely is
@@Miki-shinano Forklift operators often transition to other jobs. It's like the intro level of working blue collar jobs.
The joke is that almost all companies have some sort of BS where they make you watch a video made in the 80s about safety, give you 15 minutes on the truck (at best), then hand you your certification. then trust you to drive a 10+ ton hunk of steel in close proximity to other humans who have a willful disregard for their own lives and safety who like to walk out in front of fully loaded vehicles.
Forklift operators spend a lot of time on their trucks, so get used to how things move when you nudge them. A good one can pick up a dime with their forks. This is a result of boredom and starting out on night shift where there is less to do and even less supervision. When the forklift operator decides the pay is shit and they can take their skills elsewhere, they often sign up to become heavy equipment operators. Where there is often even more time to screw off. Often because you are waiting for something, like the concrete to be delivered, an inspector to show up 5 hours late, or whatever. So they entertain themselves with dumb things like this.

The video narrator is acting as if a veteran is a completely different race of man or something.
Once told a boss sure you can fill my position but what you really should be asking is can you replace me.
Two very different things "Hoss"
He wasn't to bright. Obviously found a different company thrilled to get a good hand.
I've had keys to everything they own months before becoming Foreman and run quite of bit more of the company unofficially.
We all draw salaries of the same bank account is a rare employee understanding.
Great company, 21 years in September.
If the boss extends his hand you want to shake it even if it's empty. He's a great guy.
But there's often a cash bonus in that handshake at work.
Rare kinda guy that can chew your arse out as a Boss but that's buisness and you're friends off the clock even if you didn't do well at work.
Working to make a living not living to work.
But Jesus Christ what lil titty babies the newest generation is. All needy baby, greedy baby.
Persistence is main key
bullshit. Do you believe that everyone needs mistakes to figure out stuff
I can do that, my own way
Being a good operator isn't about what your machine can do, it's about what you can do with your machine.
Are we still talking about excavators 👀🤣
@ezekiel6044 This video was about excavators? Woops 😆
Ah yes, car goes places.😂
No shit
Micros 😏
Bro and his vehicle became one body 💀✨.

That principle applies to everything really. It just takes time, patience, and dedication.
And skill. Not everyone has the talent.
Physics or Math teachers : "This the example if u give attention in my class"
or the opperator could just dig under the stone and haul the stone with it
bro the way he pronounced it was goofy as hell "the nOvice"
When the footballer got a excavator job
😂😂
No way, he didn't dive out of the cab and roll around in agony after being struck through the open window by an errant current of air.

That is a mad sport! The ball almost looks magnetised to the net. Truly impressive to watch.
LOL
Hey Mr. George, we’ve found our guy.
He's not gonna work for 20 bucks
@@m.damski6722 Nooo, 20 bucks too much. 10 per hour and 5 for lunch.
No Mr. George 20 dollars not enough he too good operator.
I see we all have the same algorithm
🤔I know what the problem is he was listening to mariachi 🎶 so if Mr. George would let him listen to their kind of music he would’ve been able to pick it up 🪨 🍻
As an operator myself, it's truly amazing to watch the old-timers and the VERY skilled. I try to learn as much as I can from them.
Im a 3rd generation crane operator in Michigan local 324 and ive been running equipment since i was about 6 35 now and still i learn new stuff all the time
Beautiful wedding btw and if you put that video together that was amazing work as well i do drone work on the side
@@EO.studios that's awesome! Yes, we are never too old to learn more!
Yes, I edited the video myself :) thank you so much! :D
Chris at let'sdig18 is my goal some day.
@@EO.studioscheers my fellow Michigander brother 🤜🤛. Second generation operator here, first generation crane operator. We run wheeled gantry units. Mijack70HD and a DB100Shuttlelift.
Precast and pretensioned concrete panels. Yard Dawgz. Stay safe and keep defying gravity my friend. The day I stop learning new things is the day I switch professions.
Best part of the video is how professional everyone was instead of the boss/supervisor saying get in it and learn it, while everyone at the jobsite laughs at the man trying to figure it out for himself
One must imagine the excavator happy
🙂
Even as he picks up stones for eternity?!
😅
People who operate heavy machinery their whole lives are another level of impressive.
I worked in forestry for a summer and the contractors I worked with, their machines were like extensions of their bodies. I mean it was unbelievable. The pre-commercial thinning guy would just select a tree and pick it like a flower and put it together with the rest, never seen anything like it.
Really friendly guys too. I can’t imagine going to work with millions of dollars of liability on my back and trusting myself not to screw it up. I’ll stick to my lab work where someone else owns the equipment, thank you very much.
Man thanks I know you weren't talking about me exactly but from an operator of over 25 years that was the nicest pat on the back. Its a very fun but often unnoticed job. I hope you go far and one day maybe get a chance to operate. Its not as hard as it looks just start slow.
I agree it isn't easy to work in heavy machineries just like my dad, he's hands hurt everyday because of it but I'm happy that he enjoys his work❤
I worked in construction, It makes life so much easier for a laborer when you have a really good confident excavator on site. A beginner scared to get too close to things they might damage can leave you with a fair amount of shovelling, wheelbarrowing and digging by hand.
Always keep the good operators phone numbers.
Bro was almost playing POGs with that excavator. What a gangster

As a forklift certified member of society i can appreciate this
wow that's amazing my sister read this comment she wants your number
*Folks, I took off the 18 one arm pull ups* *Support the people*
As someone who is also trained in the operation of forklifts, I can definitely say it’s not as complicated as a Bobcat
But I do also appreciate you because operating a forklift is not easy and your food doesn’t get to your table before it takes a ride on a pallet
*our food *our tables I can’t edit
Notice that big metal plate like thing in front of the main bit of the digger? Its used to hold it in place. But its curved so in this case you can simply push it back and into the bucket
Been there, training people on machines, showing them the quick turns with the long forks. 😂love watching little ones go flying. We ALL started out as novice.
This was a lot more intense that it needed to be, I love it lol
No substitute for experience. That was slick.
Education. So you dont have to give up the time experience demands. It was kinda invented to replace experience so we move forward as a civilization.
@@fattmoleyTv as a manufafturing employee for over 20 years, you are wrong. You can teach anything you want in a classroom, but you dont know anything until you learn it by doing.
Maybe as a Manufacturing employee I am but as a VFX artist/studio head for 20 plus years, I dont hire anyone who hasnt gone to school to learn the trade. Productions are not the time to learn how to get things done. Maybe being a manufacturing employee is so bespoke the technics and approaches to general tasks can't be taught to the masss? @@thestanleys4157
Pushing it against the plow may also work in this situation
I used to drive a forklift with a 10ft carpet pole. It’s amazing how the machine starts to feel like an extension of your body after an extended period of time.
You have a wide pallet, it's 50 cm wider than the door you need to pass. The door is wide enough to fit a truck, not a tiny door. The trailer is too high though. You can't push it in lengthwise because of reasons. Will you succeed?
I was like this with a cherry picker.
And this is why more experienced workers get paid more “for the same work.”
Companies know they are more expensive to replace than having to train the new guy for years to get to even half the competency.
Every expert was once a beginner.
No shame... that's how we learn. :)
This is now going to stay in my head forever, like my brain seriously thinks I’m going to need to remember this just in case
Lol..... Maybe in future if u work in construction industry 😂
As a boss@@illacrow906
I've been running excavators for 20 years. 10 years ago, while running 60 foot-long boom, the foreman was talking to an inspector. He put a quarter on the ground and looked at me. I picked up the quarter in the bucket, and the foreman got his winnings. That was when I really felt like I finally was a real operator. It took 10 years before everything clicked, and the machine was now an extension of my body.
impressive!
No more Chuck E Cheese hands, you are an Operator.
Damn... It's impressive..
My salute to the legend operator.
you should shoot a video doing that and publish it on youtube
That foreman deserves applause, for knowing his buddy. And the bond - didn't even need to say anything, just a glance. Don't lose that man.
Practice is what results in success
Knowledge trumps practice any day.
Not for me
Perfect practice results in success
@@calhollino it doesn’t. Otherwise you’d see nerds in the NBA
@@landolonnie8811 What knowledge does a nerd have that would give him an edge over any other player? Throw the ball in the hoop-- other than that, there is no advantage to learn.
My point was, you could practice picking that up for hours and still never make any progress-- but now that you've seen a technique on how to do it: you could get it in a few tries. Knowledge is better than practice alone. Of course practicing that knowledge is the best of both worlds-- but just blind practice doesn't get you very far most of the time. This is why men need mentors and leaders to look up to. This is why children need a father figure in their life. Guidance.. That is what makes this video interesting to us: because we all just learn new information on how it's done by a pro. We learned a secret trick of the trade, and we didn't even have to practice for a moment.
As a certified forklift, I can appreciate this.
UA-cam: Just give him a video, he’ll watch anything at this point.
You gotta give him respect, not only did he lift the stone he simultaneously played the violin 🤷♂️

@aprettycoolbridge yeah but this channel is 13 years old and has one comment
I don’t appreciate being called out like this my man 🫥

One must imagine the excavator being happy.
My machine always sounds happy the morning after I wash and grease it
Albert Camus?
Every equipment operator was a rookie at some point
Really?
And Superman awes the crowd by simply picking up the rock and sending it and the excavator into orbit.
