Heroic is NOT normal difficulty as your confuse. Heroic is pretty much hard difficulty and it's meant to give you a fun challenge that tests your skills of what you know in the game. Legendary is the very hard difficulty although it's not hard as long as you know what you're doing however I would not recommend Halo 2 on Legendary otherwise you're in for a bad time.

tobegreat plays Well the CSO he took out was the Largest Covenant ship besides High Charity And there have only been Two ever. considering it was 30Km long it was a honorable death. And the CAS’s that where seen after its destruction are only 5Km long.

@@HonestlyH it's his first time playing Halo and hunters only have a couple of areas that do any real damage and it looks like he's just jumping and shooting aimlessly then BAM no-scope throat shot it's not insane but impressive for the third time you see hunters in the game (I think.. which makes it more impressive if you think about it)

Tip of the Spear is the mission that helps you realise how powerful the Covenant is compared to the humans on Reach, and how outgunned they were. It's such a great cinematic shot when you see the super carrier cover half the sky. The Long Night of Solace has Jorge live up to the name Noble, and it is a poignant scene when you realise that he sacrifices himself to destroy the super carrier... only for the entire Covenant fleet to show up, rendering Jorge's sacrifice pointless.
Anyway, here are some tips you forgot and/or didn't really follow, and some new ones:
- Don't forget to manually reload your weapons when it's safe. Reloading automatically mid fire fight after running out of clip can potentially get you killed, especially on higher difficulties. Take a look at your controller settings to see what the button is, but I believe it was right bumper in this case.
- I noticed you emptying a clip of DMR ammo into a jackal's handheld shield (that's the big red/blue shields that they hold in front of them). Aim for the hand by shooting the little gap in their shield, then the head. Don't waste precision projectile ammo on a jackal shield by blindly shooting at it. Energy weapons are still ok to use on the jackal shields though, they deplete them quick.
- The magnum pistol has a scope that allows you to zoom in, making it kind of like a faster but less powerful DMR. Still one shots an unshielded enemy if you land a headshot though.
Rayram AureanBlue not to mention that the mission LITERALLY is harder on MCC Legendary considering the PC / Xbox One has enough power for all the seraphs / banshees to start targeting you, before there were only a couple that could spawn on the 360 due to limitations
Plus a fun fact that the CSO-Class Supercarriers hold 90,000 to 110,000 Covenant troops.
Compared to the CAS-Class Assault Carriers that hold 20,000 to 30,000 Covenant troops, it just tells you how powerful the Covenant are in numbers during the invasions of many colonies through out the galaxy...
Whats even more stunning is how [SPOILERS]
Thel Vadamee is the one leading the fleet.
To think that humans and even the Chief would recognize him as a friend later on is amazing and really helps add to the hatred and distrust that Hood has for the Shipmaster in Halo 3.

One thing i love about reach is the little interactions between characters outside of dialogue. The symbolic act of Jorge handing 6 his tags as he makes his last request. the ever professional and stoic Carter placing a hand on his mans back as a show of support and brotherhood in their shared grief. It's the little things that make the characters feel more alive and real, less like robots, and more like people

1:20 Fun fact: that happens because the grunts breathe methane, which is why they wear those gas masks. The grunts had barely reached their stone age when the Covenant showed up and offered them the choice of joining or being exterminated. They're used as cannon fodder because they breed fast and aren't very smart. It's not an uncommon strategy to just send waves of grunts at the enemy until they run out of ammo, then send in the elites to finish off the enemy.

It’s so awesome seeing dee bee’s attitude towards halo change, I watched his stream when it was e3, and when he saw the halo infinite trailer he’s was like “oh great another halo, the fan boys are gonna go crazy”. One of my favourite parts about Reach and ODST too, is that the Covenant feel like an unstoppable alien power. Like it really does feel like the world is ending and humanity is on the brink of extinction.

What always fucked me up the most is the point where the civilian ship is shot down. Playing through, you could feel the panic among the civilians and the soldiers. Just...makes your heart sink when you hear them go 'Shall we send search and rescue?' for it only to be denied.
Halo Reach in my opinion was the peak game for the Halo Franchise. It was a gift from Bungie for all the Halo Community to enjoy as they slowly leave the with a final bow. This game changed mine and many peoples lives and it will always be a memory I'm thankful on having. I just pray to God that Halo Infinite is as good as the original trilogy of Master chief and All the stand alone games.
@@qwerty.12305 It isn't Halo without those minor flaws though. Take Halo 2 for instance, Bungie was originally going to patch all the super jumps and sword canceling. They postponed it and ended up patching it in Halo 2 Vista. But those were some fun and hilarious times in Halo.
The little Glitches here and there aren't too bad, long as they don't mess with the core game mechanics, I think its what makes it silly and fun. If I want to play seriously, I play the Campaign. But multiplayer/Online was never meant to be serious.
It was great, but Halo peaked at Halo 3.
@@qwerty.12305 Here's where I stand. This ground is not the same as everyone, but I consider myself a Halo Lore Loyalist/ Fan to the point of attending most everything Halo in the past Decade, Having had an Actual suit of Armor, Have read all books related including Graphic Novels/comic.
I Have seen this a lot with many other franchises, but with Halo, its getting very old. Not everything is going to be the same, sometimes Lore gets edited or changed to fit the betterment of the entire Universe created. ( I am not meaning any FanFiction, only official lore ).
Bungie as a whole created Halo Originally, then they went their separate ways only parting with the people who already had their hands on Halo. So Halo still has most of the original Staff who worked on it. In fact Along with the Microsoft team and a few other companies including Ensamble Studios, Halo Has had a very epic decade of development compared to the prior decade whilst still in the hands of the Bungie/Microsoft crew.
Neither of what ive just said makes Halo any less Halo than it was in the beginning ( As Far as the lore is considering). What makes Halo Less than what it was is when 343 decided to morph it into a more Arcade Call of duty esk shooter. Thats really the only thing they changed, other than that you had a lot of similar elements that continued to stay true to what Halo was and continued evolving into even more, with a now Expanded Universe that included living Forerunners, the Arcitect and the Librarian.
343 Guilty Spark used to be our only link to the past other than the actual Halos and Ark themselves. But now we are Delving deeper than ever. There have been a lot of FanFictions that conflict with the base lore, they may be interesting, I myself have written Halo Fanfiction, but what continues to be the element that Halo is still strong in is STORY.
I see absolutely nothing wrong with the direction 343 has taken it, same with Bungie before with Reach. These questions are easily answered as well.
Just imagine the type of story 343 would have told if Master Chief Made it back safely on Earth and Cortana is saved and doesnt have to worry about falling to Rampancy. Its too clean, too fairytale happy ending, nothing like Halo has ever been.
The fact that Cortana had a link to the Librarian and the Forerunner Network even from the beginning suggests theres a connection to why she is back in 5, doing what she is doing.
Halo 4/5 was more than just following the Chief around, it was filling us with a new narrative, more than what we already knew in Halo War/Reach/ 1-3. This time its not an all out war, this time Humans are ready to fight and Chief isnt needed as much, Hes been the tool of Humanities survival thus far but now there are more like him to continue. Cortana has become a loose end and Chief has found a semblance of Humanity in himself and is connected to Cortana. Not only are we witnessing a war with a new enemy but at his very core, a war with Chief himself.
Thats where Halo 5 brings us. You can see how tight nit Spartan 2's are with each other, how much they respect Johns decision making. Very different from Spartan 3/4s, perfect little soldiers. The only odd one out is Buck, the ODST OG main squeeze who not only is very heavily written into Halo lore, but Hes been just about everywhere the Master Chief has been.
If you listen hard enough in Reach/2/3. you can hear a com from Buck, not to mention him leading in Halo3ODST.
There is a lot I can go on and on about, but im just going to leave it at this.
Is Halo Multiplayer bad these days, Yea I agree. Is the lore, No! The Lore is more than its ever been and continues to grow every moment official announcements/Vidoc is created.
Hope this helps broaden some of everyones minds on Halo as a Narrative, "Its more than just the sum of its parts" and I trust 343 to continue to do what theyve done from the very beginning.
@@qwerty.12305 I appreciate you hearing me out on this, I also understand that we all have differing opinions too, and that's ok! I agree as well, the abilities were something I had to get used to in Reach, Reach was definitely a different game than we were used to seeing in the Halo franchise before. ODST being in a sense a buffer, because it was a different story, and setting than we were used to. I feel even ODST suffered the bad response when it releases as well. Thankfully over time people have developed a respect for ODST and in turn Reach as well. Bungie sure did know how to pull at our heartstrings.

The Covenant ships are stronger than the UNSC. An even fight would be 3 UNSC to 1 covenant ship. So the Savannah knew and still backed you up.

I always found it funny how Carter goes "oh there's no way in hell he's gonna go for this" then like 2 seconds later we're at the launch site. Also pretty damn smart of Kat to weaponize humanity's FTL system against the Covenant.

Reach is one of my favourite games of last gen. It was an emotional trip fighting a losing war, a masterpiece of a game.
I think I speak for all Halo Fans that seeing that look on someone who's new to Halos face at 15:22 is priceless

Allow me to introduce to you the greatest advice for halo, the "noob combo", any marksman weapon (dmr pistol carbine) and a plasma pistol, overcharge the plasma into an elite then swap out and headshot with the marksman weapon

Watching you play through Reach is the best. By far my favorite Halo game and your reactions/commentary is the icing on the cake. Bravo to you sire. 👊🏾
Long Night of Solace is one of the best missions in the whole franchise. Everything about it, from a story and gameplay standpoint. But it's also incredibly sad. It's like there was an entire plan set up, but it was a huge struggle pulling it off, losing an entire ship and a member of Noble team. But the sacrifice was seemingly worth it, as we saved the planet, right? Right? And then immediately after, an entire fleet of the same kind of ship that you spent an entire mission trying to destroy just appear out of nowhere. Everything you did, and every single loss was all for nothing. And the saddest part is that Jorge didn't live to see any of it. He died thinking the mission was accomplished and that everyone would have a happy ending.

to me the moment you hear all those slip space ruptures, it crushes you, you arent winning, there arent enough spartans to sacrifice, not enough miracles
It's worth noting that Reach is the first time I've ever noticed Spartans holding commissioned officer ranks. Usually they're just Senior NCO's, like the Master Chief (this refers to his rank of Master Chief Petty Officer, which is an E-9 in the Navy)
