Universum on the real ride they do, they also have someone that speaks to you like an operator telling you to “look out”. It’s a lot more immersive in real life.
ok so for someone like me who wants to go on roller coasters but has anxiety about them this is great because you wouldn't be focused on the fact that your on a roller coaster you'd be too focused on the vr
yea you would never see your death coming seriously even watching a friggen ride along video makes me feel like i am going to have a heart attack i hate heights
That’s what you think. I rode Lex Luther at Magic Mountain (look it up, it’s nuts) with VR and near crapped my pants. I’d muuuch rather see it coming! Lol
Savannah Duggan I agree, but I wish it was that easy. Whenever I go in a rollercoaster (which is almost never), the wind hits my face so hard that I can’t breathe. One of my fears is quite literally suffocating on a rollercoaster, unable to get any actual air or stop the ride. It really gets in the way of everything. If you guys know how to help with this, you should reply so other people see it too if they have this problem. Maybe I’m not the only one!
The Monster Explorers no..u ride the coaster and put on some sort of vr glasses which has an animation that syncs with the ride itself so u will feel ur in a different world
it is just a 3D gopro or some kinda high quality camra sat on the front of the roller coaster, then pulled into the VR and made it like it looked like RL
SO THEY TOOK THESE OUT ALREADY. I WENT ON JULY 2019 AND THEY ARE NOT THERE CAUSE PEOPLE GAVE BAD REVIEWS ON IT!!! I WANTED TO SEE THIS 😭 THANKS A LOT KAREN
Kraken was my first experience in a real roller coaster, and the vr really helped me to get familiar with that feeling without getting scared with the real view. It made me love the adrenaline more than being terrified. It makes me very sad to know that the vr is no longer a thing in Kraken. :c
As long as the VR video goes sync with the motion of the coaster you should be fine. The main reason why some people are feeling motion sick wile playing vr games is because their body is not moving the same like what their eyes see in the headset.
SpiderGames as long as your body feels a similar motion to what it is being shown then you shouldn't get nauseous. You'll probably get a headache though
@MFD Dharma I didn't say I would get nauseous while watching this. I like roller-coaster. But there are people who are afraid of heights and they aren't weaklings for that.
The worst it does to me, you know when you was a kid and your parents went over the tiniest bridge in a car the bumped bridges and as you want down you felt yourself need a wee a little, that's what happens whenever I do vr rollercoaster normal rollercoaster are easy but the vr ones fuck my head, even the ones where you just sit in those chairs
Thanks for posting this, I never got to experience it and when I was ready I had found they already considered it a failure and scrapped the headsets making the experience unavailable... Now I can finally see the footage AND how it paired with the ride!
I remember the Kraken was the first ever ‘big’ ride I went on when I was on holiday when I was 10. I wonder if that was now whether I’d prefer it as it was then or now
Kraken was my first big coaster too! I went back and rode it again last year. It's not a bad ride by any means, but it no longer holds a candle to the more recent rollercoaster additions to Florida parks.
MrDuckeyPants from what I heard, budget cuts wasnt the main reason. The tech simply had far too many issues causing far too many delays and total shutdowns. I only did the vr once and it was a horrible experience. Sound never worked to start off and the entire unit had the desire to rip itself off my head whole time. So I am glad Kraken is back to its origional glory.
Is there a version of this on UA-cam that has the actual on-ride video with the dialogue and sound effects? I definitely remember that being a thing the one time I got to ride this...
Going on this for the first time with the headset was so weird, because I don't have depth perception at ALL when I don't have my glasses on... except that the screen was close enough to be in focus for both eyes. It was SERIOUSLY trippy; I barely even missed being able to say 'oh look I can see my (old) house from here!'.
Unfortunately, for those who are not aware this roller coaster no longer offers virtual reality. They removed the VR part of the ride years ago. SeaWorld confirms that the reason for removing it was because they would have to disinfect the headset every time somebody got off thus increasing the wait times drastically and on top of that numerous people would constantly complain of headaches after riding on that ride due to the fact that the ride is moving in fast motion while you have a virtual headset on. So while it is unfortunate I do hope that at some point in time they may bring it back because I truly love this virtual reality ride. The roller coaster still exists just without the VR.
The VR on this ride plus a rainy day is the most immersive experience at sea world
Trilla Beatz or the VR+people constantly throwing water at you.
APotatoGuy LikesDogs yup
Actually, the VR is gone, and Sesame Street is now the most immersive thing at SeaWorld.
Or vr plus a puking drunk nauseous man siting on the front
Better yet, do it underwater
They should have go for sound effects instead of just music that's playing. That will make it more immersive.
Universum on the real ride they do, they also have someone that speaks to you like an operator telling you to “look out”. It’s a lot more immersive in real life.
@@roguy26 Thats great
Universum Except they don’t because this was discontinued like a year ago.
@@SunnylandProds I was there less than a year ago and I got to experience the VR with sounds and all.
roguy26 Is Inactive Maybe it’s been a little less than a year, but I know it wasn’t there by summer.
Imagine a roller coaster where you put on a vr headset and it shows you different camera angles of your ride
Motion sickness, I hear you coming
That would confuse the brain and then comes motion sickness

Imagine a Star Wars ride like this. Like the kessel run or trench run.
Alexander Wolfe there is, it’s called Star Tours.
skinflutey that’s not a roller coaster. It’s just a dumb motion ride.
Alexander Wolfe but it’s a lot more immersive
Alexander Wolfe I bet you hate universal studios then
ɥɐǝʎ ɥɐǝʎ ɥO nah I love universal. Their motion rides are better than star tours.
Be funny if they trolled them and put footage on the headsets of the actual roller coaster they were on.
Hahaha i would totally do that
dazhibernian LOL THAT WOULD BE FUNNY
osisosiwkajakaiakajao
@@eonbree8593 And edit that footage like if the train gets loose from the track in a sharp turn.

What about Mako?

VR Roller Coasters?!? The technology today is stunning.

The Monster Explorers right
it is just a 3D gopro or some kinda high quality camra sat on the front of the roller coaster, then pulled into the VR and made it like it looked like RL
I like how the kraken just devours your soul in the end👍. Great ride.
What a great ending
Seriously the VR experience reminds me heavily of subnautica.
thank you for finally doing a side by side

This is the best VR experience on a coaster I have ever seen
The most dramatic ride I've ever seen
Whoaaaa that's such a cool idea
Gabby galactica at alton towers was the first vr rollercoaster ever
this actually looks so cool, reminds me of the old SeaWorld DS game plot lmao
lmao shook
If only that was the game. Just play Overwatch m8!
i do play Overwatch, actually lol
if reese plays that also id love to know so i can expose her

I've never gotten motion sick but VR roller coasters would probably do it
As long as the VR video goes sync with the motion of the coaster you should be fine. The main reason why some people are feeling motion sick wile playing vr games is because their body is not moving the same like what their eyes see in the headset.
I LURRRRRRVE the VR of this ride, I've watched it several times from the safety of my sofa !!!!!
I just can't stop loving the music
When you feel useless, think about the right side of the screen
Nicola Pozzi the better side
That animation looks way better than the superman coaster(the one that used to be bizzaro) XD
Ruma
I literally need 10 tickets for that ride my family will literally love it
This music is as legit as it gets. Awesome VR
This looks interesting for those who are afraid of loops ( like me) the vr can help get over the fear to be honest nice visuals

I used the vr on that ride, and i definitely recomend it to people scared of roller coasters, its a whole new experience
That’s something I’d wanna do. I don’t like roller coasters but because it’s VR I feel like I wouldn’t be scared of it. That looks AWESOME
It’s gone now
This will be my first loop ride
Me sees video.
Also me ridding my bike with my phone taped to my face
This is one of the best rides there!
“Getting nauseous just watching a this” what are you? 76?

ARCTIC TOWER Meh.
This such a coincidence. I made a kraken themed roller coaster with my friend in physics class years ago. This takes me back!
Rode this probably 15 years ago. It's a decent coaster. Would be cool to try this vr.
I got motion sickness just watching this! But it is fun to see without being on it and being scared.
This ride looks amazing
Very clever Rollercoaster Idea
When the music and graphics are on point
My two worst fears are prehistoric animals and underwater animals and this is both
That looks very real unlike other vrs
That actually looks so cool!
Now we gotta ride the real coaster, while wearing the VR headset 👌🏻
Is that not what this is?
AHHHHH THE KRAKEN!!!
I went on this 3 times in a row I loved it 😂
I'm in love!
THIS LOOKS SO FUN I WOULD SO DO IT
I'm shook
I would rather just ride the roller coaster with out the vr..
Joseph Webb Same
Joseph Webb my philosophy is do it once with and then any other time without. Just to try it, you know?
YESSS!
Joseph Webb id ride it without vr because of my fear of fish (yes that is a thing)
yeah me too😨😨😨😨😥😥😥😥😵😵😵😵

They could have made yet another motion simulator but they built a whole roller coaster to go with it. I appreciate that.
Syncs up pretty well unlike most VR roller coasters.
Honestly I miss the vr. They got rid of it a couple years after the ride came out, so now it’s just the ride. It’s still fun but the vr was awesome
We need more VR coasters
I remember the Kraken was the first ever ‘big’ ride I went on when I was on holiday when I was 10. I wonder if that was now whether I’d prefer it as it was then or now

So now it's just another coaster. Aww.
kuntrycrowable Why?
B is for budget cuts. I’m guessing something similar to what happened to Journey to Atlantis

Thank god - vr takes the soul out of the beauty of the kraken coaster
The feeling of air while in water
I was just watching Six Flag's Superman ride (also VR) and this looks 1000x better.
Omg omg I want to ride this so bad and I live in Florida so it works out so perfectly!
Mira Malfoy The VR is gone just a heads up🖤
Is there a version of this on UA-cam that has the actual on-ride video with the dialogue and sound effects? I definitely remember that being a thing the one time I got to ride this...
Love this video it is a must on your list of things to Sea World
Omg seems like such a good ride even without the VR. But the VR would make me less dizzy than seeing the world go upside down
People need to make more rides like this but just not so crazy
I would have loved the ve version!!!
soo how do you prevent things like whiplash, if you can't properly brace yourself for the fall since you won't know when it's coming

Wowww i didn’t have the chance to ride the last unleashed kraken ! How was it ??? Why they close it ?? Not the coaster .
VR video is about a second behind
hopefully it's just in this video edit, and not while actually riding the coaster.
It was even worse when riding. Angles and direction way off. Ruined a fantastic coaster.
So cool! I wish I could go, but I’m afraid of heights...
Imagine it being a vr of the actual coaster but then in one part they show like the track breaking
Do they still do the VR in 2024?
I did it with the VR and it was awsome
So I assume you put the VR set on while you’re riding the actual coaster? That how it works?
Are there any other roller coasters that have be implemented? I’d love to find out more about this.
The VR isn’t there anymore I live in Florida and krakens VR is gone
Camila Olarte yeah same
I wanted to do vr but it wasn’t there so I just rode it normally
I have a question for those who have rode the kraken with the VR, do you feel that stomach feeling more or less
Ms VoidWolf way less, you too focused on VR
@@whisperingwillows8779 Wow really in that case I all roll coaster should adopt this method

So there is wind in a submarine?
OK but the ending is surprising
I wonder if riders will be able to choose if they want to wear the VR or just ride without it?
Black Market yes u can choose to keep the headset in the box
thats what the box is for
So in the left the roller coaster was edited
I was there the first day released you had to get ticket and i waited 2 hours
Buildbuildshoot - yeah right
That's what you get when you go on a first day of a new released coaster...
how was it?

Universum didn’t even mean to i was just in Florida at the time lol
Why isn't the video synced to the coaster?
I feel like I would NOT be ok on this not knowing where I’m going and having all those animals in my face the whole time 😂
