- Most technical day so far! Lot's of fast gravel roads, alternated with narrow trails including sand sections. It also rained a bit adding some puddles to the fun. Dropped the bike twice and had to turn around after getting off the correct route.
NO WAY THIS IS SO EPIC
Most asphalt riders misundersood that picking up the bike on hard surfaces is not the same with picking it up on a gravel or sand
Nice video. I hit sand on a down hill on Gold Camp Road on Colorado. Also had the bike fall over too. Only broke the saddle bag hook. All is well. Love riding my 2003 Dakar around.
It is a very nice bike, but sand is still hard! :)
Nice trip mate! We own the same bike , i really like how you handle it !! Cheers from Greece ! 🤘
true
Thanks for the kind words! I guess it looks better on UA-cam ;) I really like the bike though!
@The Skiing Dutchman Haha it looks perfect ! It is an excellent bike capable to do almost everything 💪
@@NikosPps thanks so much!
Nice video! Its easy to get off the route, did that my self a couple of times last week, getting too eager when riding to forget to check the map. The sand sections looked hard. Good job
Thanks! I was happy I turned around, the video doesn't show how sketchy it was. I would have been stuck for hours. This turned out to be a technical but one of the most fun days!
@@theskiingdutchmanadv Hard days like that can be really fun. Not so fun, when you are standing in it, but to think back to. ;)
Take “the road less traveled.”
Always more fun :)
Nice video, did you switch off your Abs breaks, I couldn't see flashing light on your dash? That could be the reason for the fall. Awesome country side. Regards Mark from South Africa.
Thanks man, appreciate the nice comment :) ! No I didn't turn abs off, but I don't think I used the brakes there. I guess I just tried to turn too tight and lost traction :)
Hey man - wonderful Bike
I got myself an 06 version 2 months ago and im still looking for a motorguard like yours there.
Would you tell me the Name and retailer of it- greetings from germany ;)
It really is a good bike! The skid plate and engine guards are from SW Motech :)
Just wondering which battery type do you have/use in your Dakar?
I have an AGM in there I believe :)
