- In this episode we get the prototype for the new adapter plate and fit the GM powerglide to the V12 Ferrari engine.
Heath takes the grinder to the new bonnet and finalisers the new look for the real deal GTR Torana.

Never in their lives, did the Ferrari engineers ever imagine a gm powerglide be bolted to their engine…. That is “Hot Rodding” that’s the muscle car way…..

Err...,. Blokes, back in the 50's thru '70's Ferrari bought all their Automatic Transmission's for the GT's and four seaters, from General Motors! 😀
Those Ferrari engineers probably tried the Powerglides, but went upmarket instead.

Drove through Castlemaine on the way to Chewton the other day for lunch, its nice to see some crazy local builds and the rod shop putting out some good UA-cam content. Great work!!

An idea. Using red tape to get an idea and see if it works for you. Change the stripes to red, to compliment the red poking out the bonnet. I think it it'll look good.

That looks SIC with it just peeking out of the hood a small amount. Just enough to make people look twice and realize there's something serious going on underneath. Absolutely perfect !

Ridiculously mad build. Would love to have been sitting on a milk crate in the corner of the shop, with a tinny in hand, listening to the fellas when this idea first came up. Just imagine, "here me out, but I've been thinking of throwing a V12 Ferrari engine into the torrie." Gold! We'd love to here the story behind this. Cheers.

Saw the video that Cleetus posted of WarBird on its way back to you. Hope and pray that the shipping container keeps it safe. Can’t wait to see it back home and doing it’s job at summer Nats 2022 such an honor as a American to see such a gorgeous piece from Australia here in the U.S. do such glorious burnouts/Skids. Such a great machine built by such a great person.

I'm making a mental note of how you cut the braces. Using the scrap metal as a buffer so you don't go through the hood skin. A guy can appreciate the high quality work. 👌

I like that this will be subtle enough to be a 'sleeper' but when you look at the bonnet you realise why it's a monster.
This will be so good once it's finished, can't even be mad about chopping up another bonnet...

With the red callipers, red engine components it would be a great colour match to run red race strips along with red Rod Shop stickers, would like neat as hell 😜
