Some help for anyone trying this, especially at Level 8: Don’t solo level 8. You DO NOT get the Emperor’s Crown of anything other than bragging for this. It’s not worth it. Mel is a stupid ass and all formulas work about 50-67% of the time and can fail for no reason when making new items. Reset your console if you can’t afford to lose the materials. You only need to collect 1 of each item. Sell junk items of excess to pay for the Emperor’s Crown. Dynamic Duos for fighting Dr. Erode and tips: Fighting Dr. Erode- his left armpit is where money falls out of but is usually where he aims toward. The AI will be temporary baffled if you destroy his food and drink because there’s actually no prompt in his AI of what to actually do when this occurs. Jumping under the center of his chin is a dead spot that helps avoid most of his attacks. Dynamic Duos for fighting him and co-op in general: Julia and Mel- people rag on Julia A LOT, and she’s a decent character and a great big body killer, she’s essentially female Falcon : they have the same stats and hurtbox. Mel is low tier due to bad health and all but 1 super is bad. VS Normal fighters trapping them in transformation can be a HUGE help for targeting, avoidance, or killing. Julia does A LOT of damage as Queen’s Mischief can be done 4 times after Slave of Love and hits others in the area of effect. Mel’s cash bag super is good and can be done several times too: it’s a standard target rain super. Gliding can help tremendously in any fight and they have the best aerial and pole attacks. VS Dr. Erode gliding under his chin avoids all but one of his attacks so this is especially vital for Mel. Again if either transform Mel does money bags, Julia should do Merry Go Round under his chin or to wipe out his food. Queen’s Mischief can be done at least twice on his heart and on level 8 a quick bit of good damage. Ayame and Wang-Tang- the classic duo. DBZ ball and Shriken Bloom work wonders on all opponents and they’re both easy to use. Watch Ayame’s health though. VS Erode the plan stays the same: Dragon Dance May look cool but DO NOT use it here. DBZ ball will hit the heart and track to head if it closes. Flower Shriken is a great AoE attack and is great at any point in this fight don’t bother with the spears. Galuda and Jack (or either of these with Pete) the kings of tracking supers. Rain supers work well and double are super hard to avoid. With Pete electric coloms are good to destroy stuff and break up frays or separate opponents, and toy soldiers are good on cornered opponents. VS Erode the rain supers and electric columns work well on heart or damaging in general but with Pete Toy soldiers should be used on heart. Also forgot two people control Pharaoh Walker it’s a detail easy to miss due to the scope.
You know your stuff. Kudos. The only thing I disagree with is solo level 8. It's worth it. It's not an easy feat to be level 8 Erode in Adventure mode with certain characters but the money is worth it. Wang-Tang, Ryoma, and Jack solos make it a hella fun challenge for those who wanna try their luck. Ayame's 100 Flower Bloom (The needles) is more powerful than you think, even on level 8. Hell she doesn't even need Wang-Tang. He could just sit back and/or back a distraction.
