A mercenary unit codenamed Mercs. Guess they really wanted to come first when people were searching for military contractors Also love that the five guys escort you in, secure two feet outside the helicopter and then chip chip cheerio. Damn fun game though.
If this game had one drawback it was that you had to move to change the direction you wanted to shoot in. This game needed a control scheme like Ikari Warriors or Smash TV to be able to control the direction of shooting independent of direction of movement. Though in this game's favor, swinging that flamethrower around in wide arcs did feel quite satisfying. I'd call this game an unheralded classic. I threw many quarters into the one at my local movie theater. Never got past about level two though.
Wow! This game is pretty badass. However, besides the "Attract Mode", all the timestamps are incorrect, as you wrote them all about 30 seconds or a minute too late after the stage begins! Please fix the timestamps ASAP.
God, I love this game. Used to play it all the time as a kid.

Didn't know Howard Geese, Albert Wesker and Homelander quit their jobs to become mercenaries. Probably more fun and less stressful.
Like a version of Midnight Resistance from a parallel universe
When some Phony Navy Seal tells stories and someone turns it into a video game.
Team 9!
This game looks great
It looked even better with the original crt screens in the arcades. One of the visually most striking game of early 1991
Mercs Longplay (Arcade) [QHD]

I would have pumped in more quarters if this was a twin stick shooter
A reboot on one of these new systems would be awesome
A shirt would only slow him down 💪
This would have been a good animated mini-series and toy line!
As a fun fact, this is a sequel to Commando.
It's commando on steroids
I found one mercs genesis/mega drive at my grandma’s house
Are you a bad enough Merc to rescue the former president?
imagine how much easier it would be if you could hold down a button to strafe...

Huh kind of strange. It says Insert Coin. Does that mean that this game has an ATTRACT MODE which plays through the entire game?
The cabinet supported 3 players, so yes, it's trying to attract 2 more players to buy into the current game.
Looks like Rambo 😅
honestly this game is too hard and aggressive so players here in manila can only finish level 2 in one single coin..
