The version on ANTI is sublime, but messssy! The naff midi strings sounding like they’re on some 1980s Casio keyboard, that random, jarring bit of Spanish acoustic guitar at the end? Rihanna, honey, you were done dirty with the instrumental, ANTI is undoubtedly the best Rihanna album ever, but Haben worked magic and then some. Rihanna, If you ever read this I am petition for Haben to have the rights to this musical gem enshrined in law. Please, do it for the gays. If you’re not going to release more music at least let Haben have this track and recognise her talent. Over and out.
