I saw her perform this in Las Vegas this month and it left me speechless. It was my first exposure to Tony Newley, and I could hardly believe my ears. I've never heard a voice like his...pure brilliance. I am ecstatic Barbra chose this duet.

I had to listen to his 5 times already today. I just woke up with Barbra's voice in my head..."who can I turn to...? Such a loving tribute to the great Mr. Newley.
What a lovely way to wake up. I prefer bird songs myself, but Barbra is a good choice. She will always be in my head and heart too.

Ironically, this is - so far revealed - the classiest piece of songwriting, and (without question) Streisand's most gifted "partner" on this album. Yet Newley's fabulous, YOUTHFUL voice only serves to shed attention on Streisand's husky, aging pipes. He outshines her, not because he is the greater singer - far from it. But because he "is" young; Streisand an old lady, layered in electronic gauze and edge enhancement; a heavy old-timer, reaching out for more - MONEY.
Sad that you can't appreciate how beautiful this is.
tom tomlinson Newley's recording BY ITSELF is beautiful, as is many of Streisand's recordings from years past. This i$n't. Get over it.

Barbra is one of the few singers of her generation who still has it. Her voice has aged and doesn't have the range and power that it once had, but she still has so much depth when she sings, you can't help but feel the emotion in her voice. I can't wait for this album to be released!

I love this duet! What is especially significant is that Barbra is paying tribute to one of the greats, Anthony Newley. More people should know about him. He's a hugely underrated talent who wrote some very iconic songs.
There are no people like this any more, absolute charisma and star quality!!
In her 70's and still the queen of the world! I love how she turns her gorgeous seaside home into a recording studio and simply summons singers, musicians, and technicians to work with her; a queen ought to be able to do that, and she can. And people are thrilled to work with her! Here it's a bit sad that dear Anthony is not here to sing with her, but Barbra has always been loving and loyal to her true friends. Finally, I love it that this great artist is so genuinely appreciative and delighted with the artists who are fortunate enough to work with her. I can't wait for this album!

I had the pleasure of knowing Tony Newley and when Barbara decided to take this amazing piece of music and blend her sensational voice to "Who Can I Turn To" it brought chills down my spine to hear two incredible performers bring new life to this standard. Obviiously they had a close friendship. They were meant to have many duets together. So sad he passed from renal cancer. Thank you Barbra for putting this together for us to enjoy. I first saw Anthony on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1965 singing "Who Can I Turn To." I have been in love with him since. I was only 12 then but he captured my heart forever.

This duet was the ultimate for me. Saw Barbra at TD Garden in Boston and the Anthony Newley duet just knocked me for a loop. I was sobbing and still cry when I play the CD in my car. I always liked him but never realized how incredible he was - the range, the animation - everything!

I’ve never heard anyone with the pureness of voice of this immense talent.

Always liked Barbra's voice, saw 'Funny Girl' twice in 2 days. As much as I appreciate her sentiment in putting this together though, it doesn't work for me much I'm afraid. It does highlight however how underrated Anthony Newley's voice was. As for Edgle's comment here as to 'she is the tops', I think for me Shirley Bassey might be, she has a 1000 watt amplifier built into her chest that can blow fish out of the water.

So glad to see Barbra did this duet with Tony Newley and she includes the performance in her concerts. She also sings "Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory which he also co-wrote. This will bring a new audience to Tony, which is well deserved. He was such an extraordinarily talented man - great songwriter, singer, dancer, showman. Also very handsome.
I like what she said about him in a concert I saw on netflix. I've never been privileged enough to see her live. What she said made me like him. I'm sad I didn't know more. I bet my sweetie is in heaven listening to him thoudh.

I've alway loved this song. I had a recording with my beloved Lena Horne with an arrangement that I like, so when I read that Barbra had recorded the song for the new album, I got exited because I knew she would do a good job ( the ONLY song Barbra recorded that already knew and I didn't like her recording was But Beautiful).
The recording of Barbra and Anthony (at least the part I heard) is just gorgeous, very moving.

Yes, I also love that rendition you mentioned by Lena Horne from the album called "Feelin' Good", all the gorgeous orchestral arrangements by Ray Ellis. It's absolutely exquisite. Of course, Ray Ellis conducted the orchestra for Barbra's first Christmas album. It's sublime work of art.

Lovely idea, and I love the song. Barbra as always is in great voice, and Antony Newly is haunting. The arrangement is a little messy though. I wish Barbra had sung a little more 'straight' in duet with Newly as it's such an iconic track.
Well whattayaknow; someone has been vocalizing. She sounds great. There are still so many moments when her voice sounds remarkably unchanged by time. It's just a matter of picking the right material (which of course, she's a master at).

I had no idea who he was as I am a millennial, but after seeing this duet, Anthony and his stunning voice really intrigued me. So I have been watching lots of his old videos and am blown away at what a talented, charismatic, funny, sexy guy he was. I even got Barbra’s memoir just to read about her affair with him. In this video she makes it sounds like they were friends but it turns out they were much more. It sounds like he could have been a great love for her, and that there are regrets there. I’d love to hear more about their love story!
