Capitola, Santa Cruz, CA. got slammed the last couple of days. Santa Cruz main pier got about 100ft taken off the front end of it. 3 guys were taking repair surveys of it prior to this happening and ended up in the water along with an old restraunt, the "Dolphin, " and a public restroom. Nobody hurt, though. One decent swimmer and two rescued. Wave height? HUGE!
Sigh! Dry as a bone here in LA San Fernando Valley. I’m hoping that the stubborn High that’s been blocking the systems from making their way down to Southern California will finally break and opening the door for storm systems to make their way down to Southern California. I recall we really didn’t get any major systems last season until January, so, keeping fingers crossed we’ll get a repeat of that this season.
Merry Christmas everybody! Been pretty, pretty wet here in Marin Co. California. At half our yearly average already. It seems that the Bay Area is the cutoff for these storms. My sister in Burbank would love to get a little of the rain we are getting up here. We appreciate all your hard work bringing us the most informative and accurate weather reports for California. Thanks Michael.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings, Felix Navidad, Joyous Kwanzaa, Joyeux Noêl, Happy Festivus….. And please consider sharing your rain and snow with SoCal!
Haha was expecting a santa hat today! Kidding aside, thanks for the update on Xmas, appreciate the good content, keep up the good work and have a happy holidays!
We are praying that the doors open we start getting snow storms Reno the High Sierras and Sparks we want to see a strong winter we are praying for rain and snow this winter we don't want no breaks
When will we get some significant precipitation south of point conception? I looked at some other models that were predicting possibly January 7 and 8?
This current season is no surprise to me. The experts has said that the northern third state, Sacramento northern third of California will have average to above average precipitation. Sacramento to Bakersfield below average. South of Bakersfield little or nothing. I think it's looking like that's the way this season's going to be from here on out. Yeah, this is La Nina playing itself out as predicted. Mr. Bill
ok sprinkling is NOT rain, here in los angeles it sprinkled it didnt rain even though it got wet yesterday it wasnt real rain it was more like a fog and drizzle
Bless you folk for making it clear to be seen.
Marry Christmas everyone ❤
We had 2 days of storm in tehachipi mountains. Some snow, some rain and strong winds 😃 white christmas 🎄
