Title: "Conservation of the “Lansdowne” Portrait of George Washington" Contents: "Gee, this is a neat painting. It's real important. Oh by the way it was conserved I guess."
Totally agree with other comments. This is just clickbait really. PLEASE, we want a detailed video of the restoration process, not a load of talking heads stating the obvious
Disappointing because of the click bait title. Where is the actual conservation process? A few seconds and then a before and after. It wasn't really that bad compared to a lot of others that I have seen. I think there should be work done equally in all important oil paintings and not just the most popular.
So is the one that hangs in the White House & was saved by Dolly Madison in the War of 1812 a copy then?? I saw it in the White House in Jan 2020 & the guide said that it was the portrait saved by Dolly Madison. I just checked my pictures & it’s the same portrait, so I’m a little confused.
So sad. This should have been minimum,15 minutes long. Did we really have to see people talking? Show us the conservation process! ugh! Such a great portrait and we saw nothing.

Now could you do a video on the actual conservation of the painting, which takes up about 30 seconds in this video?
I just want to see the restoration guys.
Well, it's great that you conserved such an important work. Why did you only show 30 seconds of an 18 month conservation in a 6 minute video?
So where do I find the conservation?
I never even noticed the rainbow!!
4:50 for the "conservation footage"... if you want to skip the american patriotisme history.

Odd that the rainbow in the painting is in reverse color order (red being on bottom and violet on top).
Another symbol for how backward America is supposed to be? Or am I reaching?
lol ridiculously disappointing about conserving it
Not even close to the importance of our Declaration of Independence, but we get the drift.

Happy new year!
When kids at school ask you to draw them
"It took 12 months to clean...." and we'll share 8 seconds of that process...
SO disappointing.

So sad. This should have been minimum,15 minutes long. Did we really have to see people talking?
