Thanks for posting this! There is very little in English about Le Capitole and its one of my all time favourite trains (I’m an N scaler and have the Minitrix set). I think there is something wonderfully romantic about European passenger trains in the 60s and 70s (especially with the TEE network, they seem so optimistic.

I have the old Jouef version of that loco in green, it runs pretty good for it's age especially after I clean and lube it, it does not like the frogs of turnouts though since it only has 4 wheel pickup.

Those look pretty good, IMHO, but, yes, some deficiencies due to its age. It’ll be fun for sure, tho!
I have a couple of Locos like this and I use the Digitraxx DH165A0 It works out sometime
I was lucky in that my boxed loco was DCC ready.
