- A video years in the making. I go back to Stewart Lake in NJ 20 years after I caught my biggest bass ever in NJ. I figured I'd use this day to start a new series I've been thinking about doing for year.
Beating the Bank is a series where I have to catch a limit of bass in a set amount of time... In this episode it's 6 hours. The catch? I can only do it from the bank. Enjoy as I trek through area's trying to catch a limit of bas before time is up.

It is a good lake, though. I've tried using Crankbaits and other lures, but nothing seems to work better than a senko. Specifically, black and Blue or the color I used in the video.
It is pressured by people from the bank, but the lake hasn't had many tournaments as it has in the past... Because of this it's actually can still be good.
@@Basssteeler yeah I've been doing some research on it n everything. Do you know any other spots around that area. I've seen some unamed ponds that look good. But others I've seen are like grenloch lake, almoneson lake and some others. Blackwood lake I think is around there too
It's probably like 10 minutes from there, but Greenwich Lake is good too. Bigger fish, too, and it doesn't have any tournament pressure.
It can be tough, but you can fish the main lake or the creeks. Every time I go there... I feel like I can fish there for hours and not even fish most of the area.
@@Basssteeler yeah I've been to Greenwich before. Good trout and bass. If you've never caught a bowfin, try cut bluegill in the muddy creek next to it and you'll get some in the summer and fall time
Yeah haven't caught a bowfin out of there. A couple snakeheads but not a bowfin.
