American arcades generally don't have Banapassport card distributors, mainly because most arcades have already switched to all-in-one cards in lieu of metal tokens and paper tickets. Having Banapassport cards would just be an extra cost to both players and arcade owners, so the American version has completely streamlined the pre-game to make it more akin to regular arcade racing games where you just pick a car and track, and then jump right into the race. Most of the GPDX machines I've come across have also disabled the Mario Coins. Also, arcades aren't as popular in the United States as they used to be, especially compared to Japan. American gamers prefer console and PC gaming because you don't have to put money into a PS5 or an Alienware everytime you want to play (though given how greedy game companies have become, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to pull this crap and get in SERIOUS trouble with the FTC).

This is one of my favorite Mario Kart games, I hope Nintendo ports it to the switch or on future consoles

I wish that Multiplayer Mode didn't reduce their simultaneous amount of racers from 6 to 4, and same issue applies with MK Arcade GP 1 & 2.
