@414 Automotive Nice! Would you please share the suction cup link? I'm trying to find a good, reliable setup to do this kind of video. Beautiful cars must be heard 😁
There is a small bit of rasp which isn't coming through in the video. That rasp only happens if you hold the RPMs around 5000, it's not really there if you're accelerating hard.
@@sevyn8038 It smells, theres no way around it. Windows up and any time you're driving, you won't smell it. If your windows are down and you pull up to a light, or are just sitting in a lot, you'll notice it. Bruh thinking about the 200 cell catted downpipe after that shit, got the mppsk as well on my 540ix, but i upgraded it with the M550i muffler, its like an V8 B58 Mix, and that shit with a downpipe and without pops and bangs would be lit, or with that decent bangs like yours.
@@414Automotive ye try the 200 cell one, should be the best B58 sound image, but it sounds pretty nice too right now but sometimes it has some S55 vibez because catless, try the 200 cell catted one, burbels on your car are pretty decent i like them, mine are on soft but they are damn gunshots on 3500u, need to change that soon, cause the pretty B58 V8 Mix Sound its getting drowned out, that is not my goal haha
My brother, my High Flow VRSF 200 cell Downpipe is installed since 3 days, also need to delete the coldstart, and the burbels, thing sounds insane but the cold start is an Armaggeddon. @@jamesgiannoukakis4366
I was wondering how you are opening and closing the valves when idling? I have the mppsk but when I'm just idling I cannot open the valves, I have to put it in sport mode and start driving for it to open (I'm tuned on Bootmod3)
I’m not a fan of the MPPSK burbles, it’s way too excessive. The way I have it, it won’t burble under “casual driving” in sport/sport+, only when I’m more aggressive and getting into higher RPMs. Also mine is set to a shorter duration
Can you hear the turbo spooling before the exhaust starts beeing loud even at full throdle? Also how it is in confort as a daily dirvier(sub 3k rpm, 50% throdle at most)? Any drone or heavy raspy sounds?
The spooling isn't too prominent at full throttle, you only hear a bit of it at the low RPMs, not really after it's spooled up. You do hear a lot of spool while decelerating/letting off the gas though. I have a few youtube shorts videos from the outside on my account, go check those out. In comfort, inside the cabin sounds damn near identical to stock, it's very quiet, it's only a bit louder from outside. There's no drone inside whatsoever in comfort.
It's controlled through the car using sport/sport+ mode. Closed in comfort mode. I have burbles set to 1.3 second duration, 8.5 aggression, and only above 2700 RPM.
Hi mate, is there a big difference in comfort mode before and after? I'm planning on doing the same as you but I really don't wanna lose the comfort in comfort mode :)
@@chriskamen2152 I had that exact setup on my previous 340 but with the midpipe resonators deleted as well. It had a better tone and less rasp but it was slightly quieter than this setup.
@@414Automotive I put a catted downpipe after all, the car is way too loud in sport, it is ok in comfort. A little drone here and there but I'm getting used to it.
Had this exact exhaust. I did not like it, wasnt a fan. It had its moments on wide open throttle that sounded great or the low rumble at low RPM but in mid range it was way too much drone and awful upshift sound, and incomfort was not quiet at all for driving through the neighborhood.
I disagree about the comfort mode, I find the muffler does a really good job with the valves closed. As for drone, yeah it's definitely there but only at certain RPMs and its fairly easy to avoid the drone. Upshifts are alright for me, my biggest complaint is the raspyness through the 4000-5000rpm range.
@@414Automotive I added my stock mid pipe back, after painfully cutting the MPPSK muffler with a dremel. Don’t ask. And the sound is fricken perfect now at all rpm in any mode. If you want it a little louder I’d suggest cutting or removing the first muffler near the Dow pipe side and it would probably be raw and refined perfectly. I left the first muffler because it was loud enough for me and it made the burble into more of a rumble like a V8
@@414Automotive there is only one OEM resonator. The box right after the down pipe that people seem to call the second resonator is actually a tiny muffler… but I added both.
I still come back and watch this vid
Ooooh so eargasmic🥰
I would like to be outside to ear that. Inside it is so insulated. The disadvantages of recent cars...
Definitely agree with you!
Beautiful angle for the shots! Very well done!
Thank you!
@414 Automotive what camera setup did you use? And which camera holder?

@EnjoytheMoments No problem, I've added a link to the item on amazon in the description of the video. Cheers! 👍
how much louder are the cold starts? i’m thinking about doing this but just don’t want it to be too loud in comfort mode and on startup

Yeah I agree with you, I want to switch to a hi-flow cat. Also probably going to reduce the burbles further, it's getting annoying.

i hear that catless doesnt go to well with mppsk as it makes it raspy is that true?
That's the point of this video... you don't need me to tell you if it's true or not, just take a listen.
I've got the same setup but mine really drones around 2k rpm with valves open. Have you found the same issue or do I need to get mine checked out?
My setup tends to drone around 2800 RPM, I don't think anything is wrong, just the nature of the acoustics with this particular exhaust setup.
@@414Automotive Good to know that! Its literally my only complaint about the setup. Sounds incredible 99% of the time.
How do you control opening and closing the valves? What is your exhaust flap setting in bm3?

do you have any other settings changed ? like the Kph ive tried the settings you have and still get burbles under 2700rpm
Any flames ? Thinking about getting a catless DP on my mppsk exhaust
It depends on your burble tuning, mine isn't too aggressive so no, but if you turn it up flames definitely will come out.
