Very cool Darkseid! He lookd like he would go well on my DCUC Justice League vs Legion of Doom shelf. I hsve the DC Direct Darlseid(I like the size of it's head in proportion to the body) and the Superman series that became DCUC Darlseid which is very cool and articulated but I think it has a small head for a Darkseid representation. Cheers :)
The only one I want now is the DCD Kirby version. Maybe the Icons and Mattel new 52.

This figure looks f**king epic. I haven’t heard a single person complain about the “details” on it. Just not sure if it’s worth $180. That’s nearly Hot Toys prices for a 1/12 scale figure.

I love it. The only Darkseid I own is the DC Direct one, the one that came with the glove I lost. BTW did you ever get the Mezco Batman Beyond? I got one on ebay for $99 last week. And on topic of rulers and emperors- I really hope that Mezco makes a Doctor Doom!
Hi I have a question does this Darkseid Mezco figure scale with the Mezco Superman Man of Steel 1/12 figure? Is Darkseid that much bigger than Superman ?? For this Darkseid Mezco figure and the Mezco Superman Man of Steel 1/12 figure ?? Is that the size difference between Superman and Darkseid ??
I have him and I like him, I do wish you didn't have to pull his head off to turn his eyes on, and I wish that his eyes looked more red when the lights aren't on. I actually leave him displayed with the omega beams on cause he just doesn't look right with the lights off and I don't want to have to pull his head off every time I want to look at him. Might just be me though idk
And yeah I agree on the belt too it really doesn't want to stay even

The cloth looks like synthetic leather which may peel the color over time or over frequent pose.
Nice figure though, fits perfectly with DCUC line.
Big fan of the tin packaging. The price demands a premium box. Darkseid himself is delicious. So happy Mezco didn't put cloth clothing on him.
Yeah I can imagine him having just regular cloth goods. The leathery stuff definitely works well.
I like the detail but im not sure about the mini dress and thigh high boots lol , not my fav design but still cool tho.
Definitely using this with the Mafex Justice League. Looks good and looks similar to Zack Snyder's vision for Darkseid. Totally badass.
Very good review! They should've magnetize the mother box in the front of the belt, it's a cool figure but waaaaay to expensive....especially for us Canadians ;)
I know right! Soooo expensive. I had it preordered for months and just worked it into my budget. It’s my big ticket item for the year.

At that price, it's pretty disappointing that he doesn't have the elbow articulation to get his arms folded behind his back in his classic pose.
I could still get them there but it pull them to the max.
I want a company doing a monumental version of this character at this price to make some breakthroughs in hinges so that I could cross it's arms.
Well have to see what the Injustice version will be like. Him and Lobo look fantastic.
When this went up for preorder I was stoked. When I saw the first review I was kinda let down for $180. But after watching your review it reminds me so much of the Kenner super powers darkseid. Now I have to have this and display with my sh figuarts Trinity!!!

those are about 7 inches, so he's still going to be pretty big next to them.

I wish DC would give this man some pants the mini skirt needs to go.
They did in the new 52 and I'm pretty sure the Rebirth has some too but it's more a suit with leg parts.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but this figure is a huge disappointment. Nobody asked for polystone. The utter lack of articulation is absurd. $180 for DCUC level articulation? Pass. I'll stick with my DCUC Darkseid if that's the case.
wow Brad, u bought such an overpriced expensive figure... IMO, DC Icons Darkseid is better than this... and much cheaper too...
