    Hey Tom, you wondered about time lapse.... don't change a thing brother. Its that one little thing, mistake or decision that can change everything for someone. Keep up the great work. Much appreciated. SkinCity Tatoo, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Cheers!!!

    Hey, just wanted to let you know I've watched this and the other Frankenstein inspired painting all the way through and proper enjoyed them both. So much so that I went out yesterday and got a load of Dr PH Martin's and a couple of brushes. Thanks for the inspiration and please keep making videos! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

    I watched your videos of the Dracula and the cat/pumpkin a few years ago when I was looking into buying some PH Martin Inks. I never knew you did this one, fantastic work! Have you stopped making these type of videos? I would love to see more of them with the inks if you have the time.

    Killing it as always! it'd be cool to see lady/gent head tutorials in depth? Perhaps tips on drawing different perspectives and colour theory? They're the bane of my life haha! The lady head watercolour time lapse/tutorial you did a whole back had that perfect balance of commentary/instruction as well as being quick and informative, but on the other hand I could watch these 1 hour videos, Keep it up man! ☺️✌️

      +Dean Jason Swinscoe Cheers! thanks for the feedback! might be worth checking a book out called Drawing the head and hands by Andrew Loomis. And if you want very detailed explanations of perspective How to draw drawing and sketching objects and environments from your imagination by Scott Robertston. I have some PDF versions if you're struggling ;) books can be expensive! And for colours check color and light by james gurney, loads of information in that. I'll do a few simple videos tho but them guys who written them are masters! Thanks for the feedback!

    I enjoyed the video, as you say maybe a bit long... a hybrid of realtime and timelapse? .. one of the other channels i follow posts a timelapse on monday then the full version on thurs. 3min vs 30min?

    • @TomSmithArt
      @TomSmithArt  9 років тому

      +tvi82 I thought about doing a timelapse but didn't want to be clogging people's feeds posting twice and wasn't sure if other viewers would mistake it for the same video. Also i think a hybrid of real time would be much better but i don't really have the time to edit that good as it takes a long time just doing a full realtime version, but i would prefer it that way! Thanks for the feedback!

    Hey man great vids, thanks for the uploads. Can I ask, if i'm looking to do large, extremely smooth fades/gradients is the Ecoline better than the Dr PH Martin? Cheers pal

    I was wondering when you shade with the water brush do you worry about ink on the brush before you soak it up with your mouth. or do you dip it in water before your mouth. thanks for the video it's really helpful.

    BTW, I totally recommend checking out the movie. It's just a little over an hour and has some absolutely gorgeous black and white cinematography.

    Any help on how to go about selling these kinda of illustrations? Like do you gloss them etc and what would you post them with just a piece of card o prevent creasing? If anybody can point me in the right direction I'd be great full

    • @StuckINtheTRENCH
      @StuckINtheTRENCH 6 років тому

      Usually post them in between to heavily taped pieces of cardboard with a bit of bubble wrap...no gloss,no clear coat needed...If you want to make prints matte paper prints the best for me but everyone has there own way or preference.
