@Blockhead My wife has a severe gluten allergy as well, to the point where she can eat a single bite and be bloated and in pain within about 10-15 minutes. Down the research rabbit hole we went, and we discovered that not all wheat is equal. Basically all of the wheat grown in the US is heavily genetically modified for maximum yield, and they have massive amounts of gluten in them. We stumbled on a company, Sunrise Flour mill. They specialize in Pre genetically modified wheat from other parts of the world that has a massively reduced gluten content. My wife, who cannot take a single bite of normal bread is currently pounding multiple pieces of home made Pizza using this flour to make the crust. She has ZERO reaction to this wheat flower, and It has been over 2 years since we made the switch. We have used the flower to make everything from loafs of bread to pie, to batter's to cookies without a problem for her. I know everyone is different, but if you want to give it a shot, I would highly recommend. Love your content my dude, and have a good one.
Great info! Amanda and I have talked about how food grown in the US is so different. It's hugely noticeable, especially after spending time overseas and coming back. Not to mention the amount of unnecessary sugar we have in our food over here.
My mom’s the same way. She had to quit eating out because most restaurants will say gluten free but most people working a kitchen aren’t properly trained to do gluten free meal prep without cross contaminating it with the regular bread in the same kitchen
Wheat in the US is dried using glyphosate (yes the weed killer) that isn’t allowed in Europe and I suspect that is a big reason US wheat flour is so much more of an irritant to a lot of folks.
«From Norway or some shit»??? Hahaha, you guys come to Norway and spend a week or two here, and you will want to return for more for the rest of your life! You’ll LOVE Norway, I promise 🤘I lenjoy all your videos, been watching for three years now, keep up the good work of yours!
The best part of Amanda's bike, is the cow seat. The paint job is very nice, but the seat is fantastic. In regards to the gluten intolerance. Our wheat in NA, has had the gluten increased by about 500%. A lot of it has to do with winter wheat, and still trying to produce as much yield during the winter. The modifying of winter wheat gluten, is to keep is from snapping and being ruined by the cold harsh conditions. Unfortunately, this happened in such a short period of time, that it's become harsh to NA folks, as we haven't been able to adapt that fast to the food changes. Organic wheat, is simply a, or a more original strain of wheat that has little to no modifying done to it.
If I ever visit to Florida, I need to repaint your shop for you, as a painting contractor, it could be a lot more. Same colors, but with a little professional magic, I can make it look amazing.
My dad had celiac for years before he was finally diagnosed with it. I haven't been diagnosed with it but I do have a lot more arthritis pain when I eat anything with gluten in it so I try to avoid it whenever possible.
Tried swinging by yesterday(thursday) about 1030am didnt see any cars there so didnt stop in musta missed yall. My son wanted to see your shop. I came back down to see family for the holiday
@@BlockheadMoto its all good. We leave to head up to where we live now easter sunday so next time i come back home to florida. He did find your sticker at j&p cycles and tagged you on instagram 🤣. We love your channel and support yall
Hey brother! My bad for the Tag on the Bag. No disrespect! As a fan i got carried away and fell into the moment when i saw the writing that was there already. Will never happen again! Thanks for helping me see why not to. WEPA!🤘🏼
Where do I find someone who goes to motorcycle rallies and makes Star Wars and Lord of the Rings references 😂. She's said 2 in the first 5 minutes of this video. Congratulations man!
Dude my mum is celiac and has been since I was about 9 (I'm 51 now) so I understand how hard it can be at times (I also have dietary issues so i've been tested several times for it ) so you know you've got someone to talk to if ya need it
My first bike was an 07 wide glide with long shot pipes and mini apes. It got stolen. I don't miss it at all lol. Ive had 9 more bikes since then in 10 years.
Block, just wanna say my Husband an I love your channel! We are about to purchase our 1st bike! We plan on doing a lot of 2 up riding. Our longest trip for now will be maybe a 4hr trip. We aren’t looking at a full bagger just yet. Want to get comfortable first and then build up to maybe a Road Glide. Hubby is 5’11 170 and I am 5”2 135. Do you think the Low Rider ST would be the best choice for us? We don’t need tons of storage but a little is nice. We hav also looked at the Indian Chief Sport. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you @BLOCKHEAD
Thanks for watching! Low Rider ST and Sport Chief would both work, but my biggest piece of advice is to test ride both to see which you’re both most comfortable with! Aftermarket passenger options (sissy bar / seats / etc) are prob a bit easier to find with the LRST as it’s an incredibly popular bike. Best of luck! 🤘🏼
Man, that sucks about the gluten, I am glad I don't have a problem with it, but I do have severe poultry meat protein intolerance that I developed a year or two ago, which is extremely limiting. It's basically exactly like lactose intolerance, but with poultry and there's no Lactaid for that. No chicken, turkey, pheasant, duck, etc. Can't even have broth/stock of it, but I'm fine with eggs. So I can only eat pork and red meats. Well, I could eat fish/seafood, if I didn't absolutey HATE the stuff. So going out to a restaurant, pretty much the only thing I ever have is burgers because most restaurant steaks suck unless it's a legit fancy place, and I hate cheese and fish/seafood. I also hate chocolate so no dessert either... rarely does anyone have anything not chocolate overload that isn't a cheesecake. We started raising meat rabbits as a replacement since 1/3 our meals were chicken-based. Rabbit is the only thing that actually does "taste like chicken", but not really, but it is the meat most similar to chicken. If you never had rabbit, the belly flaps are the best part. But yeah, I understand the food limitation thing and it SUUUUUCKS. Some of my favorite dishes were chicken.
@blockheadmoto, please, please do content more so upgrades to the cvo roadglide st. I know the tuning isn't out or maybe it is now, but i can't find any channel or youtuber doing anything to this bike. Other than robert be the boss of your motorcycle who did suspension and tab slip ons theres nobody. I want to buy one but i want you and chris to put a 2-1 pipe and tuner on it at least and then go from there!!! Love the videos, by the way. Keep up the good work!!!!
Soo.. since hertwowheels is such a good sport, i think she might not mind having her own "little outro clip" at the end of blockhead vids lol. "Ride safe, stay vigilant, & watch your step" 🤣
fun fact, if time travel existed, anyone who traveled back to the 1940's or from the 40's to now could not survive on the food because of the changes to the chemical makeup
