- Oliver had a health scare this past week, but he's much better now! Watch this video to learn more about Oliver's stay at the pet hospital and how he has been recovering from his illness.

Oliver may love Chester, but he seems to love ripping up Chester too.
It's a complicated relationship!
You should not let him chew on the stuffing. It can cause a blockage which would require surgery. Glad he is better though!

The title of this video scared me. Whenever I hear about an animal suffering I go to pieces. My dog will , and does, eat any and everything. Makes me so mad. Glad Oliver is back to normal. Love and hugs too Oliver. 🤗🤗💖💖
Thanks for taking such good care of Oliver. Glad you feel better Oliver. I had to watch my Vinnie the Beagle the same way...took everything out of his mouth. When he was elderly, he swallowed a piece of metal. He vomited and I got him to the Vets. His vet was able to operate and pull it from his stomach without cutting him. However, he aspirated pneumonia from vomiting. He was kept on IV and put in an oxygen chambered kennel for days. He came home on antibiotics. We were thrilled. He was playful again. Unfortunately the pneumonia came back and he relapsed. He was quite elderly and his immune system just was not up to it and we humanely said our last goodbye. You are wonderful to watch Oliver so closely. Wag that tail, sweet Oliver! You are a lucky beagle to have such good love and care! BTW Vinnie looked so very much like Oliver. Love you, Oliver!

Oh my goodness when I saw the health update it scared me good we sure don't want Oliver 🐕 sick. I will look that up to see what that is I never heard about it thanks Oliver daddies for the advice..it's been a very rough time for me I broke my right hand from a fall in the snow and ice three weeks ago and then got a bad cold and developed pneumonia and got in the hospital for a couple days and I signed myself out of the hospital to come back and take care of Arnold 🐶 my brother was coming back and forth giving him his meds but I know that he couldn't take my place he said Arnold was whining over me but anyway I'm doing better now and glad to be home I hope and pray 🙏 Oliver never has a health scare again take care my good friends 🙏 me and Arnold love you guys so much

I hope you & Arnold are healing nicely. I recently learned about the importance of Vitamin D to our immune system. Sunshine & supplements ... 2k - 5k units daily, said the doc's nurse.

@@OlivertheBeagle I used to have a stuffed animal dog and his name was Brutus. His head came off and after several attempts to patch his head back on by my mom, I had to toss him.

Emergency visits only happen during non-office hours, preferably Sunday night or 3 in the morning. I am so glad Oliver is back in the world of the living. He has loving and tender parents and he is a precious boy. Thank you for sharing.

I'm so glad Oliver is better! HGE can be serious! My Beagle, Lucy was sick last week too. She snuck into the cat's room and ate 10% of her body weight in cat food. Her stomach was all bloated and she was miserable. She's much better now!

Oh no! Poor Oliver. Beagles will eat anything. One of my beagles Sugar ate a playtex baby nipple & shredded a beer can. Unbelievable. We had to watch her close. Glad all is well with Oliver & Daddies. ❤️❤️❤️

Watching Oliver is just like watching our beagle, Monte. We have stopped letting him have fabric toys, or even a blanket, as he insists on eating them. I have taken numerous dangerous objects out of his mouth, which he resists. He is always on the hunt, inside and out. Thanks for sharing the info.
My beagle eats everything too. Toys do not last long.

It's always worrisome when a vet visit is needed. I feel for you guys as we've had a few vet visits ourselves. But the hardest part for us was bringing Milkshake for his eye surgery. Was a relief to bring him home after surgery, but it was a hard path to full recovery. What a blessing that Oliver is back to himself. Some tips in giving him his medication, hide it in peanut butter or banana. Milkshake wouldn't take his meds otherwise.

Big beagle hug to Milkshake! Yes, we love them so much and it's especially hard when you are at home alone for hours waiting for news about how your pup is doing. The house feels so empty and you just want your pup back home again, safe and healthy. We're so glad that Milkshake has made a full recovery!

OMG I’m so sorry you guys went through that. I’m so glad he’s doing better. If you ever have to do the collar again, I recommend checking out inflatable collars. Sora got spayed in December and she HATED the e-collar but the inflatable was a lifesaver! It doesn’t help as much if the issue is the back legs themselves, but otherwise, it was quite helpful.

Hopefully Oliver will not need a cone again but Amazon, Chewy sell soft cones. I used the soft cone when my beagle had surgery on his hind leg.
