To our minds: '9 years ago' can be just as relevant as '7 months ago'... the time in between those dates is filled with subjectivity... depending on the importance of the gaps they can move however fast they want or dwell as long as they must...
Sometimes I just wake up and start the day with a random fat jon track in my head. Then I need to figure out what the title actually was because i just have to listen it.
I need all the people who listen to fat Jon need to hang out together and like a car meet, meet up and bump his music. Sadly you can’t find lightweight heavy album anywhere and it’s such a good album.
This popped up on my suggested. It had been on a "homework" playlist from 7 years ago. I was in graduate school and I was healthy. Now, after dropping out due to health and anxiety, it's hard to listen to this because it reminds me of where I thought I was going vs where I've actually ended up. Fantastic song then and now.
I discovered Fat Jon via Samurai champloo, when i first got into anime 3 years ago😊 His music is amazing! This song, and "Intellect Bombs" are my favorites of his.
When I hear this song, its like, all the bullshit, stress and drama that life throws at me melts into nothingness, and im left with nothing but pure bliss and spiritual satisfaction. People, this is real hip hop....
i found myself questioning the objectivity of time.... yesterday feels like forever yet months ago just feels like yesterday.... there is no such thing as the past or the future... all we have is the now. An ultra cliche but more importantly it made me question whether we can even measure the time between two dates.
It's always the eternal now time is an illusion, we are merely fine tuned to perceive time due to our biology. Time is like an infinite river flowing it exists all at once simultaneously but events are like 2 different locales in the river upstream or downstream.
Thanx for posting this. I was introduced to Fat Jon just now from my MF Doom radio station on Pandora.....If we keep this kinda realness alive real hip hop will never die. Dios Te Bendiga.
yea, them 2 and a couple other producers produced the soundtrack of an anime call "Samurai Champloo", its an amazing show but i even recommend it just for the sound track itself, its amazing
@reiz20 Depends on the taste and mood really. I love Nomak for Spring days, Emancipator is perfect for Winter, Dj Okawari is Summer to me, Nujabes fits year round, but Fall is his righteous habitat.
Adult Swim brought me here! Does anybody remember this from Adult Swim, right before Kikaider? This is what I mean, watch?v=m5h64OWU-Jg&lc=LJDCKcr8eW3SdLCfKwIXTNEl-53q_7qmHXfjUpO_TrQ
