The one thing I'll never understand when people say women don't own womanhood is, then why do you want to be a woman? Who has been creating what it means to be a woman for the past million years or so? Oh yes...females have been doing that. Females created womanhood and now you feel that that is a more comfortable space for you. I do think the people who say that though are the "bandwagon" trans people who aren't actually trans, don't have dysphoria and just want attention.

    • @viscountrainbows2857

Nothing says enforcing the patriarchy more than men being supported by women in the takeover of their own exclusive places. The fact that women are too scared to stand up to biological MALES (with respect to trans women with true dysphoria who actually put in the work and just want to live a quiet life and all, as I have many in my own friend group), speaks volumes of how "Feminism" seems to be entering some kind of 5th wave where womanhood now belongs to men and we can never question that. Way to undo decades, centuries even, of progress for some selfish MEN who want attention, to be catered to, every request granted and access to whatever they desire, in the internet age of entitlement.

I used to think back in the day that if I had a falling out with my family or if Texas became incredibly more hostile towards me as a homosexual I would have a community to fall back on. Unfortunately the LGBT+ community is no long that community that I can fall back on. Instead its my friends and a good handful of family members who understand my worries and concerns.
I no longer want to be apart of that community, it constantly oppresses others for having and voicing out legitimate concerns and opinions. Pride to me was all about being okay with your sexuality and how you identify (if youre transexual), not kinks or fetishes for being out in public view. Unfortunately that is what pride has been turned into; kinks, fetishes, public indecency and sexual deviancy. And for voicing that out, I got ridiculed and even called homophobic or told I was expressing internalized homophobia for saying people should have public decency and not be out in bondage gear, pup hoods, or even be full on nude. Best part is I got thrown the argument that I would flip out if I heard about nude beaches...which to me is the weakest argument for that because nude beaches are called that for a reason. Its where you're ALLOWED to be nude. I don't get why or how things got this far off the deep end, but I just hope that things get back to normal quickly and as soon as possible.

I think maybe people kept the behaviors and forgot why they existed. Pride started with outlandishness, near-nudity, "kink" I guess -- I'm not good with sexual terms -- basically LGB not T, were all so incredibly hated by society, smooshed down told to "be like this be super straight or else" and it was "woohoo look! I'm free and it's ok!" Like finally breaking free from genuine oppression and hate and turning it up to 100. But that was decades ago. It's lost that meaning because everything IS accepted by society now. And maybe things with trans and sexuality keep getting crazier and crazier to try and challenge society, to keep that identity of "oppressed", only society keeps eating it up and agreeing with it. I think if they the parade to keep going, they should step back, take a breath and a look around and think "what do we want to say? what does the community need, exactly? how do we do this?"

I think if a gynecologist tries to treat or diagnose someone who isn't biologically female, and that treatment or diagnosis ends up leading to something bad happening, that gynecologist could be sued. Medical professionals probably have to stay within the bounds of what they are trained to do.

    • @TheMichaelStott
      @TheMichaelStott Рік тому +17

Probably? It's a law. Health professionals have to make ethical decisions on who they treat and help, they must consider their qualifications and limitations before treating and or helping someone. There is however, referring someone on to a specialist or a colleague that they know has the expertise to help. Even that has limitations because for anyone working in medicine they need to be able to network. This means going to conferences, talking to people, getting contacts so this situation was probably not one the gynaecologist's would have anyone in their contacts list to refer the individual to. The one major problem here is the individual truly believes they have a vagina and not a surgically made cavity in the body. If the gynaecologist didn't have a plastic surgeon colleague to find out who they could refer the individual to, then all they could say is they can't help. You're absolutely right if someone tries to treat someone they are not qualified or have the expertise to help they are liable to malpractice.

In the mid 1800's a psychiatrist suggested "uterus envy" to describe the kind of envy these men suffered from. Later it's been labeled birth envy and even lactation envy. Perhaps we should add "period envy" to the list? It must be some kind of cognitive distortion in some men.

@@rosc2022 , That's kind of what I said, but I disagree about 'time blindness' not being a real thing. Have you ever been so engrossed in a book that you can't put it down and end up going to bed 3 hours late? Or gone on a hike that was supposed to be an hour but it took two instead? Or have you simply enjoyed something so much that you forgot about all the things you need to do later on?
You're absorbed, or enamored, or maybe even distracted by something that captures your focus.
However, people with ADHD and the like have been dealing with those kinds of issues for a very long time and they have to take the initiative in order to be productive.
It doesn't matter that much in the long run if you don't think some people need a helping hand (not a crutch) to cope with disorders, but empathy goes quite a long way with loved ones. Someone from Italy here! It's so beautiful to see someone as brave as you proud to descent from italian people.
You really deserve to be thanked.
Some insights of our situation in Italy:
Here, American "trends" are easily spread and copied by many people. Usually, it takes a year, maybe a year and a half, to start seeing arguments that belong mainly to American people. The young population began coping them through social media (we are now full of trans kids since the start of quarantine).
Our left is made by really old people that don't even seem to understand what is a transsexual, yet the only thing they're capable of talking about is LGBTQA+ rights and climate change. We used to have a left made with young open-minded people that fought for everyone's right. Especially the right for everyone to have safe, decent, jobs. I thought, as italy is made by a lot of old conservative people, we were safe from this wave of non- sense. Instead, the biggest and most known cities of our nation (Milan and Rome) are filled with lgbtq+ flags, events, and people. And not smart ones who are actually claiming real rights. Our pride is an accurate, smaller, copy of the American Pride. (Full of kinks, few real lgbt people are there)
In the lowest part of italy, there are still people like that, however there's not as many, and they aren't so aggressive.
The left, as they said, wants to propose once again a law to "worsen the treatment" of those who swear or attack homosexual, transsexuals, and women. However, as far as i know, people aren't fired of their jobs or expelled from their university for going against trans ideology. This could be because we don't really have some intellectuals that are raising their voice, nor anyone in general besides the radical right. None here talks about this problems.
Our situation is not as bad as America's, however it is not good either.
Sorry for the long comment and the not really good English, hope it helped

    Great video as always.
If gynae docs are seeing trans women, that’s less time they have to see biological females, which could cause a delay in diagnosing one of many ‘female only’ issues that are serious and some even fatal, such as; endometriosis, ovarian cysts, twisted ovaries, ectopic pregnancies, and of course cancers.
If a trans woman has a neo vag, and have concerns, they need to see the consulting team that performed the surgery or a specialised GP.
I genuinely don’t know what the after care is like for a fully transitioned person, but if it’s seriously inadequate then that’s where their energy should be aimed at. Instead of basically being a pedantic problem seeker, screaming at women’s services that have no experience or training in that specific area. I’m sorry, but they can’t be so freaking deluded to really believe they have a fully functioning reproductive system. They are adults for crying out loud and they seem to think they can just throw their toys out the pram and scream until everyone bends to their Will. The more they demand for us to think of them as adult females, the more stronger my belief grows in thinking that they have a severe undiagnosed mental health issue that should have been treated long before anyone diagnosed them as trans. I know we have been heading towards a mental health crisis & the ‘lockdown era’ made it so much worse, but it kind of feels like the medical community are simply diagnosing people as trans because it’s just quicker and easier than treating a mental distress.
Any way, back on topic, trans women should use their energy to campaign for better, consistent and long term specialised care. Instead of demanding treatment they genuinely know is ridiculous. If they don’t acknowledge women’s services are not the right place for them, then they really are living out their delusions , that simply proves they need immediate cognitive attention. They need to be unplugged from all of their social echo chambers be that on line or in person & they need therapy.
This has got to stop now. The Social Experiment is going to far.

A gynaecologist can't treat transwomen as they're trained in female anatomy, not identity.
This transwomen just needs to remember to get their prostate checked.

Absolutely! At my last gyn appointment there was a person who was clearly NOT a woman, wearing a skirt in the waiting room. Then this person was called Kelly and proceeded to the exam room and stayed in there for quite a long time. As I sat in the other exam room in my paper gown I heard a man’s voice coming from the other exam room. I was so pissed off that this person took a time slot away from a woman who could have needed to be seen that day. There are no female organs on that person that needed examination. This has gone TOO FAR.

Honestly, I think that it is unrealistic to expect the general public to discern shades of difference between ''genuine'' trans people and those who aren't genuine. I think most people get that there is a difference between a gay man or woman and a transexual man or woman , but I think that's about as far as most people are willing to go. And even that is a stretch for many.
The danger is that ,as people are get sick of it the whole thing , there may be a social backlash that will fail to discern any differences at all resulting in a return to conservative social norms.
I've been alive a fair old while now and I have seen incredible changes during my adult life. What I've learnt is that these things play out over decades and head in unexpected ways.

Its people like this that make me half wish I had just stayed in my closet, that said I am happy to not be. These people and their need for attention and special treatment is just getting tiresome. Some of us legit just want to live our lives and these fools make it harder to do so.

This is disheartening. These concerns with the latest LGBTQIA+ community is why I, who once was part of the community, no longer seek to be a part of this community. I have disbanded and do not let others speak for me and what I stand for. I only speak for myself now because I do not wish to be represented by lunatics that took over something that used to be wonderful.

I miss the T girls of the 90s. They knew that there were some boundaries that they shouldn't cross and they didn't. Also they were not going to make the mistake of having a fake vagina installed much less go to a gynecologist. They were happy to not have to deal with periods and actually GGs were a bit jealous that TGs didn't have periods. These new TGs are insane.

This exploded mass trans diagnoses thing reminds me of the 90's- when doctors were diagnosing every other kid as ADD or ADHD, & just throwing Ritilin & the like at them- & when it blew up in the late 90's/ early 2000's that a ton had been misdiagnosed, rather than working out what was actually causing their issues.
Only it feels a whole lot worse, because of the whole mutilation part...

Time blindness is real. I am 44 years old and have struggled w it for my whole life.
It is not an excuse for me to be late!!!!! Or a need for an accommodation but it is a real issue!
I always get up with my alarm in the morning and start to get ready but would think I could get more done and would loose track of time. Reminders alarms are great, but I would literally forget the alarm went off within a two minutes. Watches helped as long as I remembered to look at it. Post-it-notes never worked bcs I would forget to read them.
Often I think of I have time to run into the grocery store before an appointment. In my brain I have an hour when I only have 20 minutes and still need to drive to the appointment.
The major thing that finally helped me was a face clock. I can see time and comprehend it better. I still have to break time down into 5 minute increments to help me understand how much time I have. It is a constant fight I deal w.
I’m not lazy, or irresponsible!!! I just don’t comprehend time the way that most people do. I have to work very hard to keep myself in check.
Oh the face clock must have very obvious lines for the break down of minutes. If not I still don’t understand. It literal is like piece of my brain is blocked.

Most of what we see is AGPs and young gay women with trauma and struggling in life. We don't see the cool ones except for those that are big into social media. The ones we see in real life are really screwed up.

The mechanical alarm clock my parents had when I was a kid could shake the bed -- once the bells were rattling, everything was shaking, including your teeth. My grandparents had an electric alarm clock that wasn't a big improvement. The buzzing noise was so loud in could wake up the neighbors, and it didn't have a snooze button.

I have an alarm clock called the Sonic Bomb it beeps very shrill and how loud is adjustable up to quite impressive! But the best part is that it also has a puck attached with a wire. You place the puck between your mattress snd box spring and when the alarm goes off the puck shakes your bed. There is also an alarm clock on rubber wheels that jumps down off your nightstand and rolls around the room flashing and sounding. You have to get out of bed and chase it.
