I don't know, I don't think most people were disappointed with the message or content, at least I wasn't, it was the soundscape of the album, at least for me. A lot of sort of weird, like he said, spoken word style flows. Droning melodies. Unorthodox production for a rap album. I think it disappointed a lot more people than the NFR fanbase would probably think. There's a reason only one song charted for longer than 6 weeks. Most people don't love the album.
I actually have 2: Quavo Huncho, and Culture 2. To start, Quavo Huncho disappointed me because it was the 1st of the 3 Migos solo albums, which made my expectations higher because I thought it would dictate the quality of Takeoff and Offsets albums. Quavo had features from damn near the whole industry on the album, yet most of the songs were so bland and uninspired, and hell most of the features suck too. I love the Migos to death, which is another reason why I had high hopes for this. And Big Bro and How Bout That are 2 of the worst rap songs I've ever heard. Then there's Culture 2, which to me was a bigger disappointment. 24 songs was a huge red flag before even listening to it, but after Culture 1, I thought it would be 24 songs of that level of quality, and boy was I wrong. The Migos, Quavo and Offset in particular, had a lot of lazy sounding performances on this thing, like Quavo on Too Much Jewelry, or Offset on Flooded. Most of the beats on this album are either boring or annoying to listen to (I'm looking at you White Sand). The song Open It Up is essentially a worse version of Deadz, and that made me very sad on first listen. There are a lot of not so great features on this album, such as Ty Dolla Sign, Travis Scott, Gucci Mane, Drake, and worst of all BIG SEAN. Too Much Jewelry, White Sand, Beast, and Cultue National Anthem are some of the worst songs these guys ever made. The Culture trilogy is like is like a sandwich where Cultures 1 and 3 are the fresh baked, warm right out the oven bread, and then Culture 2 is the expired meat and Moldy cheese thats been sitting out. Only praise I can give this album is that TAKEOFF never failed to come through and give a good performance, and he carried the hell out of the other 2. R.I.P Takeoff of course

Jesus is King is a pretty solid album, there's not so many really bad songs, but it's a christian album, not everyone gonna like, and the main problema for me it's that was supposed to be Yandhi and not this, Yandhi would be one of the best albums of the decade easily.

Finally someone said Mr. Morale. It's not a bad album but I 100% agree that Kendrick's performance let the album down. Kendrick always brings it with his lyrical content (Father Time, Count Me Out) but the singing, some of the voices he rapped with and some of the lyrics were just weird.
I'm a huge HUGE Kendrick fan but I don't see MM&TBS being a classic down the line. And I hope him being with Baby Keem more is not him altering what he truly can do with his rapping delivery and lyrical content when it comes to future projects
For me it was Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor 2, the sequel to one of my favourite albums of all time and the production was weak as shit in comparison. And the lyrics were not as strong in the social commentary department as I would’ve liked.
I don't know how you were supposed to see revivals tracklist as a automatic red flag just cause of features like recovery had alot of pop features and only had 1 Rap feature as well if you are based off the original version the iTunes version also includes slaughterhouse if you want to go based off that but that's still not much of a difference and recovery was still a good album so I don't think that was a good thing to base it off of
CLB. I thought with all the hype and bad reception for previous albums that he’d win the critics love and make an ambitious album. It wasn’t that great.

Also X's album, I forgot the name but they just didn't care about the production when they could have done a lot better, X's verses wasn't bad but they just slapped it into any beats with the worst features which killed the whole album especially after ? And skins being good listens, complete mess

For me the most disappointing album was Views by Drake. At that time Drizzy was at his peak and after masterpieces like Take Care and NWTS I was expecting another banger and instead we got this lacklustre album.
Views is a classic
Views is incredible. Aged like fine wine
I could see being dissapointed at the time but even back then it was good now its def a classic
Views is good tho
Your face is disappointing
Сulture 3 and CLB were the two biggest disapointments to me. Not a single track from both of these albums was really worth going back to to me
Clb had some nice songs no?
@@Brakley yeah I thought so when it first came out, guess I forced myself to liking it, thought it would grow up on me. Then after one or two weeks I had no desire to bump none of the songs. I just expected it to have smth like Trust Issues, Days In the East, 4 pm in Calabasas, Energy, these are my fav Drake songs.
Yandhi turning into Jesus is king is more disappointing than my son
revival, i don't give a fuck if "we knew it wasn't gonna be good" i waited 4 fuckin years for an eminem album, and it was literally dogshit (except from castle and arose)
Finally someone said Mr. Morale. It's not a bad album but I 100% agree that Kendrick's performance let the album down. Kendrick always brings it with his lyrical content (Father Time, Count Me Out) but the singing, some of the voices he rapped with and some of the lyrics were just weird.
Agreed 👍
I'm a huge HUGE Kendrick fan but I don't see MM&TBS being a classic down the line. And I hope him being with Baby Keem more is not him altering what he truly can do with his rapping delivery and lyrical content when it comes to future projects
@@thedon0516it seems like that’s exactly what happens. He’s being keemed😟 and I generally do like Keem
@@slackstarfish8133"he's being keemed" 💀
Bruh hasn’t listened to tpab where most of the choruses are just whaling haunting vocals lol kendrick has been doing “weird” shit for so long lol
For me it was Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor 2, the sequel to one of my favourite albums of all time and the production was weak as shit in comparison. And the lyrics were not as strong in the social commentary department as I would’ve liked.
I don't know how you were supposed to see revivals tracklist as a automatic red flag just cause of features like recovery had alot of pop features and only had 1 Rap feature as well if you are based off the original version the iTunes version also includes slaughterhouse if you want to go based off that but that's still not much of a difference and recovery was still a good album so I don't think that was a good thing to base it off of
Schoolboy Q- Crash Talk, after Blanckface what a disappointment
CLB. I thought with all the hype and bad reception for previous albums that he’d win the critics love and make an ambitious album. It wasn’t that great.
Disappointed that Young Thug never dropped Hytunes
I gotta disagree about live life fast. I play it almost every week. A lot of replay value: all good, hibachi ,
This has to be a really unpopular take. I do think it has its tracks though.
I wouldn't say that it has lots of replay value but I bump a couple songs off that album pretty often. Thailand is one of my most played songs this year
I really don't mind jesus is King tbh, it's one of ye's worst but I really don't think it deserves so much hate with the great production and some great tracks. Also my biggest let down is probably Kings Disease 1, didnt really hit for me but the next two are fire. Also wtf is that auntie diaries tak??? Beautiful song
Yeah im not a big fan of KD 1....the other 2 are fire tho
Agree, KD 1 is easily the worst of the trilogy. Magic >>>> all three KD though. That album is just special
MM&TBS was super average. Def dissapointed. But, imma still be hype fa the next one.
Love your videos
Also am I wrong to say the carter 5
No W take tbh
MMLP and mtbmb>>>Revival
I dont think anyone will disagree with you here
Im really hyped for The Pink Tape tomorrow so hopefully Uzi dosent drop mid like Eternal Atake, bc the trailer was cool af.
You guys should do your guys top 10 Kanye songs
Bro biggest alley oop, flip the switch, lose it, bubble gum, lost. All good tracks I listen to from time to time, albums not as bad as people make it out to be
Clb is up there for me definitely and quavo huncho.
Hate to see the jik hate. AN ALBUM BEING DIFFERENT DOES NOT MAKE IF BAD. You guys seriously gotta realize experimental albums that aren’t 10/10 does not automatically make it the worst shit in their catalog
How do you guys listen to this much music?
Revival and Rebirth
I was disappointed with the new BlackStar album
Live life fast was really disappointing. Roddy had so much momentum and we were expecting a classic, it js didn’t sound the best. Also Pluto X Pluto, literally dropped 20+ tracks and almost every single one was not good 😢
L take on Auntie Diaries
3.15.20 by Childish Gambino was so disappointing. Felt like an album made for contractional reasons.
I understand that JESUS IS KING may have disappointed back at 2019 but bro, there is so much quality in that album ... I really think that there is no skips there.
The Chick-fil-a hook on Closed On Sunday is why i skip that song soley😂
@@LukeL.77 understandable but I still think thats funny and enjoyable 😂😂
Also X's album, I forgot the name but they just didn't care about the production when they could have done a lot better, X's verses wasn't bad but they just slapped it into any beats with the worst features which killed the whole album especially after ? And skins being good listens, complete mess
