With the loss of EVH, can anyone think of anyone more qualified to carry on our early 80's metal legacy than Mr. Scary???

Writes grammy nominated song, design's and builds his own guitars...and still killing it in his 60's....KING GEORGE!

George is such a good guitar player that even at nearly 70 years old he can still play like this.

If this guy George is not careful he could become a famous guitar player.

This is George's Eruption, but with the band backing him up. It's sooo powerful that it won a grammy. And he's played this at least 1000 times. It will always be a little different, because Mr. Scary has to keep it interesting.

Something I have always loved about George is his willingness to take chances live and just go balls out.

The most impressive thing about this and George is this… How many times in his life has he played this song? 10,000 times? Just a guess! He has NEVER EVER ONCE played it the same way twice. That is a ridiculous talent to improvise your own creation that many times! GENIUS! I’ve said it once before. Lynch must be an Alien! The kind from another planet!

I was just thinking this. I must have heard a 100 versions of this and I'm obsessed with George since about 1984 or so (I'm 53 now). When I listen, I know the song so well (the hard-printed studio version and a few pressed live versions that I think I know where the next place he's going to go is and yet... he goes somewhere else that I've never heard. He never plays it the same way twice.
He will always be my favorite guitarist - then as a 13 year old, and now, as an old crusty guy!

I play guitar, bass and drums. Also some songwriting, backup vocals and some lead vocals. Since 1982. Sorry, but this song has never impressed me that much! And i started playing guitar by learning dokken’s in my dreams! I like warren demartini better. My opinion.

Give you credit for having a decent way of posting your thoughts. A lot better than a lot of numb walnuts that post junk on the Dokken Lynch forums. If you haven't dug deep enough in the catalogue to see George's live performance of Too High Too Fly here on yt or the insane tone he grabs on Hole In My Head off Dysfunctional, check em out. Some of the best stuff are deep cuts. It's hard to beat the trio of All I Want / Hell Child / She's Evil But She's Mine. It still stands up 30 years later. WS Reimagined was one of the best releases in the last 10 years, also. Very cool that they went back and cooked up some new renditions of some much loved stuff. And as George put it in an interview here on yt for all the crybabies lol, it's not like the original doesn't still exist. WS Re-Imagined was one of the coolest projects in recent history though. Great stuff. Totally agree, Warren is a great player too. Would be cool to see him branch out and get some project stuff like George has pursued. Have a feeling there's a lot to Warren we haven't seen yet. Definitely a great player.

Thanks a lot for your words.
Will look up all the ones you mentioned.
My real problem with almost all of these era players is their attitude towards just playing and their egos and all that drama…
Listen, just take one of your 534 guitars off the rack or storage, get a cable and plug into that marshall stack and let it rip for all to see and share. Stop these childish and even womanish drama and not united bullcrap! Van halen, ratt, eagles, now motley crue…🙄 Instead of playing and sharing, they choose to divide and fight. And who’s affected? The public, the fans…

@@iliafigueroa4820 You ain't kidding. The fan forums/comments sections on yt are the worst example and just make it worse. lol We put a comment in the Queensryche forum under their new version of B Idol's Rebel Yell. They were having a blast saying how much they loved it. As duel Dokken/Queensryche + many other great bands fans growing up, we put an invitation for them (prog metal fans) to come to the Dokken/Lynch forums (mainstream melodic rock metal) to tell the mainstream metal non-fan posers how to shut up if they're a real fan support the band or prepare to be labelled as the livestock romancing buffoons they are. Cause they sure ain't real fans. lol Really, you want the guy the band is named after to retire. Even though the video the idiot comment is being posted under is a bunch of people loving being at the show. Brilliant Einstein! lol Thus, the compliment on your comment.
If you're gonna check out that mini-list, check out Lynch Mob 1.0's WS tour appearance on ABC here on yt playing All I Want, etc. George is playing a PRS with a pretty sweet finish and it just runs circles around so many other live bands.
If you take that and draw a straight line between Dokken, that album/that tour/performance, Lynch Mob 2.0/the second album and today with all of the performance vids here on yt, including the Blandini show which was a total cool trip, and everything in between, which is totally consistent with Mr. Scary's becoming even beastier Scarier ( ie greater Scarier lol), it's pretty dang easy to see what non-fans look like.
If ya can't spot a legend becoming the king, then ya need to go back to bluegrass concerts in the summer with your grandparents and leave the real bangin' to true metalhead fans! lol
      Happy listening friend. :)
Oh yeah, don't forget to replay the Walk Away vid and insane tone GL grabs in the solo. It's medicine for the non-fan/quilting bee infighting weary soul. lol
