I'd suggest adding Larder Zombie, helps rotate through the deck to find important pieces. i also added Scroll shift for more birds and draw cause why not. thanks for the fun deck!
One of my fav decks I run is Defenders. Though I don't run removal & instead a ton of cheap blink spells that I effectively use as a form of counter when my important pieces get targetted or to create value on empty turns where an opponent passes. I find that 20+ birds usually provides enough blocking power to ignore threats. Also forgo a planeswalker & a couple blockers for copy spells to make more Chaplain's. Once you hit 5 on board & Essence Flux anytime opp tries to Murder or Ossify, they usually quit.
Great deck . I actually want to try this. I know that planewalker op and save u on second game but if u mind running color red, nahiri resolve can be a great finisher.
Besides the lands, this is one that would be pretty tough to upgrade imo, some of the other comments here could be interesting ways to mix it up if you want to try some different configurations though
I added in rare dual lands (2 adarkar wastes, 2 deserted beach, and 3 seachrome coast), 2 virtue of loyaltys (cut 1 lay down arms & cut 1 coral colony) and it powered the deck a lot playing something every turn, as well as turning the birds into 2/2 and 3/3s, and also made the defenders outside of certain removal range, or denied attacking due to the extra 1-2 power & toughness. Adding in a couple counter spells can be really good as well if you know what your opponent is playing and when to save your mana to deny their sweepers or win condition cards. I just don't like playing the style of counter spells. With the new set coming out too, countering creature spells will become way shittier (thankfully) due to the 'Cavern Of Souls' mythic land card.
Oh yeah add Surge engine if you got it too over Coral Colony, and the kami channel lands (Otawara & Eiganjo). Skrelv, or 1-2 Soul partition/touch the spirit realm may be good to save your wingmantle chaplains as well. Again like Rob said though, it then becomes a different config or style of deck. I've been really enjoying it with the 2 virtue of loyalty and 2 surge engines in it though, and its doing better than I thought.
This has been a fun new deck I've been using for a week, thanks for posting this, it's been a nice addition to my usual rotation.
Cool Video, i'll try that Deck :)

Sounds like a fun version! Is this in historic? If so, Soulherder might be a fun one to try

Any suggestions to upgrade this deck?
