I purchased mine in May 2021 not long after the facelifted one got released. It was a good decision at the time as got brand new (update model) in Frosted White which was in stock at a dealer so no wait time. I did get quoted on a red one but that had a 4-5 month wait). Honestly best car I have ever owned. 40K later and it’s been faultlessly reliable and 2 years of servicing has been $400 all up (Toyota capped price servicing at the time of purchasing was lower than in this review and they maintain the price from the time of purchase until end of warranty, extra bonus). Average fuel consumption for me sits at 4.8L per 100km which is astounding for a car of this size and is a combination of city and highway travel. Ride is comfy and the thing actually handles very well on the TNGA platform with surprisingly solid performance and strong pickup when accelerating. Very underrated vehicle, fantastic value for money and cheap to run and maintain. Would highly recommend.
If you want your Camry to last 300,000km or more, do an interim oil change with the SPECIFIED OIL type (0W-20, 0W-16 etc) at home. Toyota uses rebranded Mobil oil. You should change the oil and filter every 6 months or 8000km. Do that and your grand kids can inherit this car without any repairs. You can still go to Toyota for the annual service. I've had Camry models for 30 years and this is my 4th - a 2020 model. They are truly amazing cars.
RAV4 is not in the same class for me. It doesn't feel like a car. Sits too high and handles far less favourably than the Camry. Of course the RAV is far more popular, but I'd crawl over 100 of them to get a Camry wagon. 😁
Agreed, it’s shame station wagons have gone out of fashion due to people wanting lifted suv so they feel they can off-road when in reality most suv won’t do more off-roading than what a normal car does 😂. Station wagons handle like a sedan but have the practicality of a wagon. Perfect combo imo
A nice package for its RRP, but pretty sure it's impossible to get one at RRP unless you're willing to wait 2 years - by then its probably up for a facelift or a replacement... :/ When I walked into the showroom, they were more than happy to show me a low KM used (Corolla Cross that I was looking at) that was readily available but marked up by 8k though! How helpful of them.
Thanks for the wonderful review. The thing with Toyota is that you only have to purchase it once as it will serve you for many years to come without having major problems. Brilliant Japanese engineering.👍
pre covid $45k driveaway top spec (Australia), now $75k if you want it now or $60k with a 2 year wait. Mainly due to scalpers and Uber / Taxi drivers scooping up every Camry, Corolla, Rav4 hybrid.
Not entirely sure where you got those prices from but from what I’ve seen, they go for approximately $60k for relatively new examples if you want it asap and if you’re willing to wait, should cost about $55k, obviously subject to any price hikes until delivery but wouldn’t go for $75k unless your dealer is straight up garbage. Still a lot of money.
yes but another problem which adds to the delay is they get scooped up by scalpers read somewhere when there due to pick it up from the dealer they place it on FB marketplace the night before
Went to toyota to look at new camrys. Lady was polite and did the best she could but the hybrid car cant be manually charged and no details on new models that are delayed. No details on charging stations for the one and only full ev that they are Selling. Are toyota closing up shop ?? Think I'll sit back and wait a good 20 years before industries and governments get things sorted.
That multimedia screen is a horror show by Toyota. Behind that screen is a hollow area where the vents used to go in the 2018-20 model. Toyota didn't even bother to fill that in. Its obvious it was an afterthought. It looks cheap and hideous. The dash on the 2018-20 model was beautiful.
Don't know where some keyboard warriors got those exorbitant prices from. This particular is $55,387 drive away as shown on the Australian Toyota website.
why people think toyota camry is only for Uber driver? i ride uber 3 or 4 time par week but i don’t get camry all the time. but you can see all taxi drivers are driving camry.
Thanks for a nice presentation. Factual and concise without a lot of chatter. Camry hybrid an absolutely wonderful car, I have my second and I am completely satisfied.
If you want to obtain one of these white goods on wheels your options are a 2year wait with several price increases or deal with scalpers with a 10k over rrp

If only this came as a station wagon, I'd happily be buying it!
Rav 4 Hybrid

I know aye, like the Camry was a wagon once and i don't know why the discontinued it..! Japan is slipping behind very much.
Corolla cross?
Not a deal breaker but you would think at this price range, across all brands, wireless charging would be mandatory in 2023

" a range of a 1040 km " ...... Excellent
I do not think Uber driver will need top specs .
Toyota isn’t known for its trim or tech just the more important things like engine. 40% of all Toyotas ever made are still on the road
You are gorgeous 🥰
what is 0-60 for this one?
Thanks for the wonderful review. The thing with Toyota is that you only have to purchase it once as it will serve you for many years to come without having major problems. Brilliant Japanese engineering.👍
Love How who they never test the base model l think they should do the base model
Toyota interiors look old the day they are released.

I bought a zr Corolla Hybrid 2 weeks ago, and from the time I ordered it to pickup, was two weeks.
56k top of the range in NZ hybrid. long wait time though. have to join the fleet buyers queue lol

Camry- An Indian's Rolls Royce
So if it didnt have the school alert warnings , as a mom you d be complaining about that .......
1:55 why didn't the multimedia screen get updated like it did on the corolla?

People wanting SUVs are stupid sheep. SUVs are overpriced and do not have nowhere near the same comfort. Pity they don’t have these in sports wagons
Don't know where some keyboard warriors got those exorbitant prices from. This particular is $55,387 drive away as shown on the Australian Toyota website.
this good car , but the price and waiting time is very bad, i will definitely buy other cars instead,

XLE is WAY better!!
This is getting very old now. There is a new model around the corner. Better order that when out!
Can one get Camry hybrid with AWD?
I want the gold paint to come back.
Same as the 19&20&21&22&23
Great review 😊
This looks old next to the Honda Accord

‘White goods on wheels’ Wow! never heard that expression before..only about a hundred times!
I get they are reliable and get you A to B in comfort , but its not exciting enough to buy new for me
That back seat looks hideously uncomfortable.
I love how you do not talk about how many times the pre-collision system has failed in the camrys and how many UA-camrs have come out talking about it
I love Camry... Shuch a good car.
