I am a big fan of The Hu. Recently, this guys were on Mongolian morning talk show called "Tea or coffee". I enjoyed the interview very much. I have learned more about them. Therefore, I decided to make english sub for people who do not speak Mongolian. My translation is not perfect. Please forgive me If there are some grammar mistakes.
The interview has 2 parts. This is the first one. The second one is coming soon.
So quietly spoken and gentle manner.
A credit to their culture.

I find the contrast between their spoken voices and the throat singing truly incredible!

The hospitalities of Mongolian people are legendary n it certainly being well displayed here. The respects, humbleness, politeness.....even from hard rock musicians.

Me too ...watching travelers heading to Mongolia and having a bit disconnection of this modern chaotic world we live in today, by experimenting a brief life Mongolians used to have centuries ago it's definitely a must-live bucket list .
It's number one on my bucket list. But I won't be able to afford it for another 2 or 3 years. But I WILL get there! ^_^
Such a difference between their amazing culture and PC Westernized modern culture.
The West: Don't do anything resembling my culture or even dare to mimic it in any way, that's "cultural appropriation, you racist!
The HU (Mongolians): To all the world, Please, mimic our culture, learn our language, our instruments, our throat singing and imitate our music to promote and preserve our cultural heritage so our traditions will never die!
Amazing. Insightful, Wise, and gracious, elegant. It almost makes me sad the Mongols didn't completely conquer the world. What a difference it would have made in our modern society to be a part of, to have a heritage, rooted in this amazing culture. I've been listening to their music for a year, but I respect them more now and admire them so much. Thank you for sharing your music, your language, and your beauty with the world so we might all appreciate and admire these amazing traditions.
The PC cultural appropriation wave that is washing over the west right now seems to be grounded in a lack of a strong ancestral identity and pride. The mongols have very strong ties and are very at ease in their heritance where as the west have lost sight or even shunned their legacy, so they grab hold and defend anything they can find that can be tied to their ancestry.
There is a relaxed and kind confidence with these guys, the likes of which are sadly rare over here.
Mongolian is such a smooth and cool language, yet it can also be harsh and sharp, I'm glad UA-cam recommended The Hu's videos to me so I could hear how cool Mongolian music sounds 🤘😁🤘
It's incredible that they formed the band just 3 years ago. I am in the US, in Oklahoma. I discovered them on UA-cam just a month or so ago and was INSTANTLY HOOKED!! Their promoter has done everyone a great favor by sharing them with the world. What unique talent! An amazing gift, from them, of sharing their culture and creating a magnificent blend that appeals to current day music fans. I can't wait til they give us more.
These two interviews are wonderful. It gives us the opportunity to learn more about them, the respect that they have for their heritage, their country, each other and how hard they have worked to get to where they are. Love them, can't wait to see them in San Diego!
Great to see the band up close, and to learn more about their instruments. It's also wonderful to see people so proud of their culture, and determined to present it in a positive light. An endeavour they are succeeding in doing.
We are from different cultures, but in México we like the Hu's music. I hope that one day they could come to México

Thank you for doing this. I'm a fan of The Hu, but I live in America. We don't have a lot of access to Mongolian culture here, so having the opportunity to watch this is great.
My daughter just shared the music videos with me...and I love them! As stated below...ty for the subtitles. They all seem so nice, and I love how they are promoting the band, as ambassadors really, for Mongolia. I usually do not like hard rock like this, but I very much liked it. We needed something new, and now days there is very little one can actually do, that is new. So I give them a lot of credit, for coming up with this. The sound is fantastic. 2020, I have a feeling, is going to bring a lot of change, and this, is indeed a good one!
Soft spoken, respectful, dignified, intelligent. All of them, and I am particularly impressed by these young ladies. Yes! Ladies! In every sense of the word.
So much to offer the western world!

Crochets By Carmen that is awesome that you are learning Mongolian language. I am trying to teach my son Mongolian language as well and I find it challenging. I found this online lesson is helpful. Because a teacher is a non-native speaker, therefore she knows the which way is easier to learn.

He's right, maybe hunnu Rock will promote mongolian culture beyond the great mongolian empire. An maybe one day we will see other rock groups singing with this awesome throat singing skill.

I have a question. What if the difference of Huumii and throat singing?
Mutia Nadyah Kurniati I believe there is no difference. “Huumii” is a Mongolian word for throat singing. When we speak Mongolian we just say Huumii. But when we translate English we translate Huumii to “throat singing” using the technic they use for that kind of singing

Amazing! Were Huun-Huur Tu the predecessors of The HU Band?
David Williams Huun-huur is a Tuva band. The Hu is Mongolian band. They both use throat singing, which belongs to nomadic cultures.
