- Check out this fun and interactive workshop, in which Bhai Maan Singh Ji shows various Shastar! Shastar referring to weapon play a crucial in Sikh tradition as Sikhs are known to be a martial race. In fact, writings of the 10th Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji refer to Shastar as being our ‘Peer’ - quite literally meaning our Guru.
This workshop introduces children to the Martial side of Sikhi, naming various Shastar and telling them the function in which these Shastar would have been used in times of battle.

Fun fact Shaheed Udham Singhs pistol is in a museum in Scotland Yard.
Edit: Their is also a picture of Bhai Beant Singhs snub revolver and Bhai Satwant Singhs Stem Machine Gun and a picture of shoes from Indira Rani.
Shaheed Bhagat Singhs gun is also in a case along with his shoes, watch and diary.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the Nihungs practiced snatan Shastar Vidiya a timeless martial arts with multiple forms for different situations
I think there's only one Akhara(school) that teaches Snatan Shastar Vidiya which is led by Gurdev Nidar Singh Nihung. It looks really interesting and there's a lot of history surrounding the martial arts form that may surprise people, including how Guru Nanak Dev Ji Mahraaj is a great soorma(warrior) who carried a sword. Many see him to only be a spiritual Guru and differentiate the Gurus with who was militant of not but don't forget that it's the same jot in every Guru. The divine light of Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the same as Guru Gobind Singh Ji. They are the same and 1
