Looks phenomenal brother!! So stoked for ya!! When I traded my fk8 for my FL5 in January I put the stock FK8 wheels back on my fk8 when I traded it! Then until May I ran my Enkei TS-V ‘s I had used for my fk8 during cold season onto my FL5 with all season tires!! Since May I have been running my stock FL5 wheels and will put the Enkei wheel back on my FL5 this fall when it gets colder! I live in Idaho so it gets cold and snowy a lot in the winter!! But fortunately i park in a garage! I don’t have to drive it much in the winter because I am able to have a other car I can drive! I have had a lot of health struggles so I have been in the hospital a lot this year so my FL5 that I bought in mid January only has 1,900 miles in it! Hope your day is a great one good sir! Thank you for the amazing content always! Have an incredible day!!
Commenting on some older content. Think there would be any problem running 18x10.5 on stock suspension daily? I dont have dedicated set for track. Will be adding a bit of camber as well.
Everything was 3D scanned. Absolutely no way to fit 315’s lol. Now you can get 305’s to fit up front on an 11 inch wheel which they already have for a different car but it works on the FL5.
@@GridZilla Wow! Thanks for the reply. I had thought the R888r were pretty decent from what everyone was saying but good to know. Is the mileage the same with the Falkens or better? Also just wondering i used to have an FK8 Type R, ive been looking for an FL5 without a crazy markup im willing to pay about $5-6k over but but not really much more, do you know of any dealers that have any? Im willing to travel im up in North NJ. Thanks, Reeve
@@ReevesTop the RT660 will out last the Cup 2’s and there are lots of dealerships notes that will do that price range. Just have to workout a deal with them.
I was thinking to do 18x10 plus 25 apex wheels. Any thoughts ? Everything is stock suspension wise and people telling me I need rear camber arms and front camber plates and I’m getting worried. Is that true ? Or I can just run it with stock everything or if needed I’ll do lowering spring
@@GridZilla it’s the discontinued base on what seller told me. I’m getting it from someone on Facebook market place brand new. It’s 18x10 plus 25. 5x120 bolt pattern
Super sick looking. Perfect contrast-great choice.
Agreed!

Shouldn’t be an issue. We scanned my car on stock suspension. Only had Eibach springs but clearance was fine
Thanks for the reply! Your content helped motivate me to get back on the track!
@@fl5_driver love it!
Howd your center caps fair on track? 2 laps in my Apex center caps had fallen off, now I track without them.
Yeah they have new versions that work better but I keep them off
Do you have a discount/affiliate code for Apex wheels? Would love to support you.
Not directly with Apex unfortunately but I do with TwoStepPerformance. Link should be in the description
I have a CBP Fl5 too so I love your videos I get to see how certain things look/sound before I got out and stuff lol looks great!
That is awesome!
Do you have any rubbing with this setup? What all do you have done alignment wise?
Zero rub. Still stock suspension aside from Eibach pro kit springs
What suspension mods or alignment specs are you running? Any running issues?
In this picture I was only on Eibach springs. Maybe only -2 camber up front and -1.5 in the rear
Curious why Apex didnt just go for 11" wide wheels to better fit 295s or even 315s? Would more inboard space be freed up if you were on coilovers?

Looks great! What track you hitting this weekend.? I’ll be at Laguna Sunday. If you’re there, I’ll stop by and say hi
I’m at Thunderhill this weekend
Great choice of tires (and wheels)! I’m running RT660s as well, on my SW20, and they are great.
They run wide like A052’s
A Gridzilla track day incoming? Can’t wait for the content 🔥
First track day with a modded FL5. We’ll see what she can do!
The wheels you have now are great, why change? Are the new set of wheels dedicated just for track?
Yea I’m curious too cause I was really like the current ones.
Correct! These are track only
@gridzilla are these the +47 offset?
Yes they are
u think 285/35 would rub?
Yes. Should go 285/30
Nice wheels!
Thanks!
Hey just curious how do those tires compare to a Michelin Cup 2 or Toyo R888r?
Cup 2’s are pretty comparable. 888’s no matter what trim are trash 🤐🫢

+25?!
@@GridZilla yes correct it’s the apex FL-5 wheels
@@reza658 the FL5 wheels from Apex are NOT +25
They’re either +45

@@reza658 bad idea. You’ll have to run a skinny tire to get it to fit and silly camber
What is the car lowered on? Coils springs?
Eibach pro kit

Thank you!
What size 18 inch 9.5 or 10
18x10.5 +47
Thanx bro
