Yup, stupendium does draw parallels with life while exploring a subject for a song. There's darker ones, goofy, j6st weird, and emotional ones too. My personal fav is called shine through, it's a more emotion based track based around the life is strange game. For a goofy suggestion I'd have to say it's between British summer jam (a non game based really early one video) nd a little room for improvement (house flipping sim game song).
If you still haven't gotten an answer to the question of how the conglomerate in the game can charge people for dying: Since everyone under their employ are slaves owned by the conglomerate, dying counts as vandalizing company property. And, yes, that is a fine your surviving friends, family members and co-workers (which are one and the same demographic) have to pay off. Or further indebt themselves to.
Yep, in TOW, “closest living relative” has been reframed to mean “closest (in location) living being to the dead body”, and are made to pay for the “destruction of company property”
@@balrogdahomie Also, someone's got to pay for that plot of land you're being buried in, and you really think the corporations are going to sell it when they can rent it?
If you enjoyed the flow of this song, I can also highly recommend their "No One's Home", "Toy Box" and the new one, "End of the Line". Stups is a smooth lyrical artist with amazing visual works to go most of the song.
Stupes actually does most of their own editing themself. They'll get help occasionally but in those cases they'll be pretty prominently featured. If no one is mentioned you can assume they did it alone.
stupendium does most of their own editing. they actually started out as an animator, though they do have people help out on some of the larger projects
Okay I didn't catch that before but another comment on another channel somebody pointed this out that part where he goes we work to earn the right to work. He does that five times he mentions work five times and apparently that's because we work 5 days a week so that's his, work work work work work. Now you have the weekends to yourself but honestly what do you do especially when you're just company property
From what i understand stupes does almost all their own editing, custom animations etc. They do have guest stars of course but if they helped with something specific, the gives shoutouts in the end or right at they beginning.
@@mcmogg_incmogg2080 Oh you've seen me before! I search for reactions because I enjoy The Stupendium and I enjoy reaction videos, therefore I enjoy reaction videos to the Stupendium. I don't comment on most videos I watch I assume you're talking about the part where I mention Stupes' pronouns. I comment about it in order to inform the reactor. I don't comment about it if someone is already using they/them for them.
In Russian, it is correct to use it, no matter what you think, here's an interesting fact for you, or it is to a person, they cannot be addressed to 1 person
If you die you debt is passed to your closest living relative. As in the closest person relative to you body when you are found. Aka the poor fucker who found you. And if you think that is bad if you kill yourself the colony is fined an estimate for all the money you would have made the company for your entire lifespan.
There's a character in the game he's a doctor who is hiding the fact that another character ended themselves the reason he's hiding it from the corporation is because that worker still had value and if the corporation finds out that he's no longer around they will charge the rest of the colony what he would have generated for the company so basically he passes away by his own hand and the rest of the colony now has to pay for what the value lost of him not being there anymore would be to the company a lot of people like to talk about the way the game is put together but this is not based on free market this is more of a corporatocracy where corporations basically own everything including you and sadly this is what our current economy has been dealing with pretty much since I was in high school but a lot of people don't realize that or they don't want to accept the truth that they're actually is a better way it's called actual free market. Get government interference out of it, choosing who wins and who loses based on their own personal opinion and how much the corporation kicks back honestly if the government was not involved there are several companies that would not exist today and that would actually be for the betterment of everyone
As someone who had an obsession with this game, it's just as evil as it sounds and the DLC is even worse. The Board, Spacers's Choice, Rizzo's and ect. have fucked up shit from starving citizens purposely to straight up extradition to human experimentation. Pretty dark game, tho it is a very pretty game tbf.
Hey just as a couple of heads up for you, the stupendium goes by They/them pronouns if you can remember for next time. It means alot. Also I'm unsure if this was a one off, but you may want to check out the gain on your mic/the cable/connector the buzzing is really off-putting and distracting.
My man said “imagine if you go on a 10 year journey to end up a slave” *pans face to camera* I lost my shit ngl fam 😂😂😂

Never forget Only Cans and The End of The Line
Or losing my patients

6:33 if I remember it right either whoever discovers the body gets the fine or the community itself.

It's destruction of company policy

about the fine for dying. from what i understand the company puts the cost for the funural and lost income on the rest of the workers in the colony.
yeah the closest living relatives lol as in the closest physically relative in location to the dead lol

Some amazing lines in this song, putting the dollar in idolitry and the con in economy. Really parallels modern day capitalism.
Hm, first time i got to the stupendium reaction video, before they left a comment here :D

Why did I say okie dokie. And
Vault 76. Are good songs by The Stupendium
Great reaction. I agree, The Stupendium makes quite good songs/videos
By the way, a heads up, Stupendium uses they/them pronouns
Why do you post this on every single person that reacts to the songs? Like you obviously just search any reactors just to type this word for word.

Good shit
It is nearest person who discovers the person dropped to receive the fine. Not wasting large voyage to collect one payment not economically sound.

The outer worlds is a video game and essentially yes it is basically about hypercapitalism in space. 😂😂
If you want more social commentary by Stupendium, watch Data Stream.
Im pretty sure they edit most of their videos themselves!
MORE STUPES
May wanna react to Kevin Bennett's Mario Party Cypher to your next live Twitch stream and Cam Steady's Yugioh Villains Cypher!
If I were to die and a fine were to go to another person I mean. I wouldn't care. I'd be dead already anyways soo. Oh well.

How annoying
Was this your first Stupendium reaction?
Also, Stupendium is actually British. They're faking an accent for the song/video
My first from their channel yes
