The descriptions on ThredUp are not great. I also did some sourcing from them, and I've purchased for myself in the past. I bought items labeled "new with tags" that came damaged. I did report the items to the company and they offered me a 15% return on those items which has still not been deposited in my account. Definitely shop with caution! You can find a lot of great stuff, but it's very hit or miss.

Awesome! I source a lot from Thredup- mostly clearance items with shipping discount and three diy denim boxes. Over all a positive experiences. They aren’t great a describing damage or accurately - often things are petite but that wasn’t mentioned etc I have had good experience with their customer service. Good haul and Best wishes

I just ordered for the first time from thread up. I got a 10 piece mixed clothing mystery box for $38 with free shipping. It was mostly bread and butter pieces like J Crew and Loft but they were all in excellent condition. I think I can triple my money. I liked all your items!

First of all, I love your style! I've been trying to find graphic band tees on ThredUP. Do you just search 'graphic tees' and look through everything?
I'm sure you've had this question a million times, but how do you keep track of your inventory for taxes? Pen and paper (prob not), computer - spreadsheet (like Excel), a downloaded app, something else? Can you show us how you do it or post a link? I’ve shopped for myself on Thredup and it’s been awhile I’ll check it out again. I wait for an email from them with a sale going on and buy enough to get free shipping. Then I return what I don’t like or doesn’t fit for credit. Thanks for the haul video!

I bought several rescue boxes with bags about four months ago, both designer and regular and I bought a clothing rescue box. There were a handful of bags that sold for a good price and the rest are still in my closet. The clothing rescue box had nothing in it that I would have picked up in person, but the average price was good and each item was in a great condition, some new with tags (a lot of Belk brands, Ann Taylor, etc), so for people who sell in bulk ... I just know that I regret it and won’t go that route again. Thanks for sharing your haul with us. My deal is I hate sourcing mystery boxes. I’ve done too many and regretted each one. :( I need to be able to choose each item. I did not think to look for specific items on Thred up, though ... Maybe when I run out of things in my own closet to list ... lol

If you are not getting sales on Poshmark, I would suggest you sign up with other resellers like eBay, Mercari and Vinted. Now is not the time to be loyal to Poshmark. The point is to sell your stuff and make money. I've had more sells on Mercari and eBay and Poshmark has been dead for me. I've also made more money because Mercari and eBay takes less than Poshmark. Also, they do not charge $7.11 for shipping a tee shirt. Ridiculous.
There are pros and cons to every platform. That’s the best part about having your own business though you can figure out what works best for you and your situation whether it’s one platform or another or all of them combined! Wish you the best 💕
A few weeks ago I placed an order since I had some credits, and I got some leggings in a 2X, but when I received them they were clearly marked as a medium, like wtf how could they be that off??

I buy a bunch from Tread Up. You definitely need to enlarge their pictures and scan the items. I have a nice list started of the bad items I received that I will send to them once I get everything checked over. I find NWT sometimes are thrift store tags, Damaged new items, excellent condition with holes, hems cut off. I have returned a few expensive things because of damage and see them re-posted the same item without noting the damage. They say each item is examined very closely, but they miss a bunch of stuff. Overall, when I due my due diligence, I'm satisfied and keep going back.

I'm assuming it's in the shipping costs as it all ships from one location. As your order came from different warehouses, did each box come with its own shipping costs? Do you have to file for taxes when running your business on poshmark?
I mean ThredUp is not supposed to build your inventory. It is meant for the average consumer who wants second hand clothing but either cant go thrifting where they live or don't want to.

I've actually had a good couple of days on Poshmark. Keeping fingers crossed....and I joined Mercari....that's a rip off! I'm not using Mercari anymore.

Most of my sales come from Mercari - I do well there, and it's only a 10% cut as opposed to 20%.
Yeah what do u mean? Mercari fees are lower than Poshmark. Its good for lighter weight items
