The wind would rush towards the forest fires and cool the fire down causing wind to blow away from it. The forest fire is a low pressure area.

When air is warm, the molecules move faster and are further apart, making it less dense. This makes the warm air lighter so it moves upwards. When the air is cold, the molecules don't move much, so they are closer together and more dense. This causes cold air to sink because it is heavier.
