I received my pressure washer ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP over the weekend and decided to wait for the sun to come out before firing it up. Was needed to clean the deck. Our last pressure washer broke a couple of seasons ago, and I just hadn't replaced it yet. This one had great comments, so here we are. It was easy to assemble, and the trigger wand is comfortable and easy to hold for long periods of time. The pressure washer worked great and made quick work of the "TN North side algae" that inevitably grows every year. I also washed all of the deck furniture while I was at it... it all looks great! So far I am happy with this purchase. I plan to climb the ladder to wash siding over the next couple of days, will update if I have anything else to add after that!
Non of my business, but after washing the dec and allowing it to DRY, I would treat the wood. I am sure that your dec would be like new, because the wood on your dec looks very good and solid ! ! Thank you very much for your video. Cheers from Canada, snow country.
I was too busy being distracted by the minimalist design of your backyard. My backyard is much larger but I don't think I can pull off the look you have. Smaller is definitely better when it comes to simplicity. This definitely pleased my OCD.
Just brought one home from Home Depot. I worked great for about 15 minutes and then the sprayer arm slowed down. I checked my water hoses as well as the pressure washer (SunJoe 2030 PSI), nothing had changed but the Ryobi surface cleaner. It's too bad. I was really excited about how fast it was going, but now it's going back to Home Depot. I'll try another brand.
1700 PSI is a pretty weak pressure washer for the "12 in. Surface Cleaner" attachment. Ryobi only sells them with their 2300 PSI units from what I've seen.
It looks like the standard wand is bending when using the surface cleaner - Did you find that to be the case? I wonder if you can get a stronger setup?
I have a 3500psi pressure washer man for stuff like concrete and wood you need to get a gas one it would take about 5 minutes to do that whole deck and a couple of minutes for the brick
NvDubs250 for most home owners these things are great, I have a 3500 psi gas pressure washer as well but if your not carful you can litterally cut the wood where as with this it’s much more relaxed and your most likely not gonna wreck the wood.
So I got about 10 hours worth of good use out of my Ryobu 12 inch surface cleaner, but now it doesn't spin. I've taken it apart, there are no obstructions. I oiled it, blew out the line with compressed air, etc., no joy. Any thoughts?
Check the spacers. There are two spacers underneath. A metal and a plastic. Swap them so the metal is on the bottom, grease them while it's off and it should work again.
It's due for another cleaning. I was going to replace the decking last year, but with the current cost of lumber. I'm going to wait another year. I'll try a cleaner on the wood. For the pavers, we removed those last year and replaced it with a stamped concrete patio.
You can use sacrete for in between the bricks which hardens and saves you from having to re apply the sand yearly. I did the same thing til I found this stuff. Just bought this ryobi surface cleaner gonna try it on the driveway this weekend

@@StreetersGarage Murphy’s oil soap too.

Thanks, It's one of our favorite places to be when the weather is nice.
I agree. I came here to make sure I was using the attachment correctly but was distracted at how perfect you made your backyard! Love it.
Have you tried a floor scrubber ? Floor scrubber with a soft scrub pad or the brush scrubber might do a good job
Why?
"Doing more fun things than cleaning the house" Dude, that IS fun! 😆
Come on over. You can have as much fun as you want. Lol
@@StreetersGarage Sure! I love cleaning. :D

I would try removing the tips. Sounds like they got clogged up
I used it with a 3300 psi 2.5gpm. And yes it cuts time. Easier to get better results.
That’s awesome

good to know.
1700psi is like throwing rocks at a tank…..
Next time put some Oxi clean powder on the deck and scrub it and let it sit for about 15 minutes then use your surface cleaner
ok
Did you mean oxy? Been looking around for oxj powder but no luck lol
It looks like the standard wand is bending when using the surface cleaner - Did you find that to be the case? I wonder if you can get a stronger setup?
Nope. That’s an optical illusion
@@StreetersGarage - The “optical illusion” reminds me of Flat Earthers! They’re a strange bunch!
Absolutely
Got a brand new garage last year. I’m gonna get this to clean the concrete inside.
It works pretty well.
Congratulations on the garage.
@@StreetersGarage thank you sir
@@lamarrion wouldn't your brand new garage floor already be in good shape
Get a 2300 psi washer. Anything else is just a toy……
@@rtaylor3350 yeah but the winter made it a lil dirty
I can't find any info if this is safe to use on trex composite deck
I would think it would be ok. You would need to look at the recommended cleaning process from Trex.
@@StreetersGarage trex says use a hose and a brush.
There you go. 😀
It did not work as well because of the PSI. I have a 3400psi pressure washer and have the Ryobi for at min 3300 psi and it works unbelievable.
For what I need it for. I’m happy with it
how well is it on concrete driveways and sidewalks!?
Works great
Ohhh bad ass where you get that water fall thing that falls into the bucket at sir? Looks cool.
Lowe’s. Thanks!
I have a 3500psi pressure washer man for stuff like concrete and wood you need to get a gas one it would take about 5 minutes to do that whole deck and a couple of minutes for the brick
for what I use it for this works fine. It would just sit in my garage idle 363 days of the year,
To really make this tool effective, a higher psi gas washer would be needed. Mine will take this off in one pass.
NvDubs250 for most home owners these things are great, I have a 3500 psi gas pressure washer as well but if your not carful you can litterally cut the wood where as with this it’s much more relaxed and your most likely not gonna wreck the wood.
Would it work with my gas 2800 psi 2.5 gpm? This it's supposed to work only with electric pressure washers
@@guacaquio yes
Why can't they make it with another 5-6 inches? They're also just too short making you hunch over.
Completely agree. I bought a new wand that has an extended length on it. So much better.

Sounds like you have a flow issue. Check the power washer for restrictions
Check the spacers. There are two spacers underneath. A metal and a plastic. Swap them so the metal is on the bottom, grease them while it's off and it should work again.
Thanks!
Is it compatible with other brands beside Ryobi, electric or gas powered?
Yes. Any wand with a quick disconnect
Always sweep the surface off first. That way, you won't get all that crap gumming up the operation. ;)
ok
Thank you for that recommendation. I didn't know that I'm supposed to sweep first. Will do that with rest of my stuff!
Can it clean carpets?
I guess it could.
What soap can you use for a RYOBI pressure washer
I’ve used car washing soap. But I would by a foam cannon. It used a lot of soap when I filled it
Outdoor bleach works wonders
Does using this over moss damage it?
Not in my experience. You just get messy, wear muck boots
Did not see you use a deck cleaner to pre-treat the deck nor brick. That would have helped make it easier.
It's due for another cleaning. I was going to replace the decking last year, but with the current cost of lumber. I'm going to wait another year. I'll try a cleaner on the wood.

Got about one minute now it leaks water from top and losing pressure.
Take it back and exchange it
Use it as a frisbee!

Click bait! You didn’t use it on a flat slab of concrete.
What do you think the pavers are made from?

audio is fine on my end. Are you using headphones? Curious on what your setup is.
It's audible with my volume up all the way.

“WHAT”?.?.?
Dewalt 4000 psi will take that out way better than that.
Probably would.
It's not a broom. You're moving too fast.
