- With the recent introduction of Linked Smart Objects in Photoshop CC, Smart Objects have become much more powerful, and useful. In this tutorial, I will share with you 10 things that you should know about working with smart objects in Photoshop.

placing smart object with applied [masked] smart filter inside group, and converting that group into smart object would be workaround for multiple [multilevel smart object] smart filter masks..
slicing [multilevel] works inside each level of multilevel smart object......
I'm doing what you did at minute 24, updating a placed smart object. My master document is not seeing those updates. Is this because my placed object is a .tiff instead of the .psd in your example? Have any other advise to get this to work?

5 years of college for graphic design and not ONE of my professors EVER bothered to explain anything about smart objects ... Completely ridiculous. It's essential knowledge for the field, a huge time saver, a headache eraser ... How were they expecting us to learn how to make branded mockups without teaching us how to make reusable templates?? I didn't even know what a psb file was until yesterday. As far as I know none of my classmates knew about these things either, wtf. How could they just ignore this most basic and efficient technique?
