    Although I rarely need the brush tool in the work I do, it's such an important tool, and the variety of implementation of it is so vast, that these tutorials are extremely valuable. And inspiring.

    If I want to use the brush tool to turn an area black (without using the select tool) would it be better to use the dodge and burn tool or use the brush tool in your opinion? Is there a slight difference in the tone/quality of the blackness when using one vs the other when it comes to prints? Thanks in advance.The Meltdownman

    WHAT IF ALL my settings are always fine but starting today Photoshop has been deleting ALL MY BRUSHES every time I open the app!! Every time I closed and restarted Photoshop, they were GONE!?!?! I would re-import them into groups all over again, save the file and close Photoshop properly. Restart it and BOOM.. they're GONE AGAIN!!! The brushes are all still in the presets/brushes folder, but what is going on and how can I fix this?? Is there a GB limit to what you can have in your presets/brushes folder by any chance?

    shortcut key for rotating brush.......? please

    • @dougieladd
      @dougieladd 7 років тому

      Not sure there is one... you can hit f5 to bring up the panel and then rotate it. Or... you can rotate the canvas instead by hitting R on the keyboard and do it that way. You may be able to set an Action to record flipping your brush, but rotating it is a bit arbitrary so not sure you can record that in an Action.

  • @Progenik

    Should be usefull to precise that on PC the shortcut for brush size and hardness is "Alt + Right Clic" and not "Ctrl + Alt + Clic"

    around 5:40 if you add 10% to 10% you dont get 20%, not in real life, not in photoshop. Try it for yourself duplicate a black object with opacity set to 10% 10 times, you will end up with grey.
    Other than that great video, learned a ton, thx for posting
