Also about that bible thing, religions of today are just modern mythologies. At least this guy was really cool and positive about it though. Besides the pregnancy thing, pretty much everything he said was just good advice in general, which in a setting where you're talking to a believer could be really helpful.
So here is a thought:
Psychic reading can never really be specifically be about you. When he tells you these vague things you automatically compare them to yourself and think about how it fits into your story. This causes you to actually think about yourself, look into yourself, become introspective.
If you view the psychic reading more as a mirror to your self and a initiation for self reflection, than as a direct personal answer to your questions, it makes a lot more sense.
