    Thanks Joe for once again putting the light on what’s wrong in this industry. The really sad thing I’m finding when I talk to friends about my recent hair transplant in the cosmetic industry is that they nearly all tell me that Turkey is a great place to go!!!! 😳 Looking forward to seeing Turkey again through your eyes. Thanks for sharing!

    Yea, I have seen many of that kind of horrible hairline design on people's head while walking on the streets. Some surgeons really have no clue about hairline design.If people want cheap hair transplant costing less than a gran in Türkiye then they should really design their hair lines themselves before the procedure. Also they must tell the technician how they want the donor area harvested and be strict about it. Otherwise, they won't be careful because they operate on so many other patients in the same day and try to be quick about it.

    In Turkey, they can adjust the hairline as you wish. Who told you that they only do straight-line hair transplantation in Turkey? No such thing. The hairline is completely up to you. If you want a natural look, they do it well too.

      I never said they’re all straight and I never said only clinics in Turkey make them straight. More importantly, if they know how to make them natural, why would they knowingly make them unnatural? Isn’t it their job to educate the patient about what looks natural and what does not?

      @@David-no7zi I appreciate, that Dave. Comments like that don't affect me because I know they come from people that have received nothing more than affirmation for their own distorted and short sighted views of what "natural" looks like. "Natural" looks, especially to a lot of younger people, thick and low with no temple exposure whatsoever. They conflate the term "natural" with juvenile (although they don't realize this) but it has morphed into a condition that goes further and belies what is actually found in nature. At any cost, regardless of what it may be, as long as the forehead and the temples do not have too much skin exposed, they're set.

    Hi
    I have a problem deciding my plan of surgery.
    The worst case in my family in terms of hairloss is my father. He went no a nw 3-4 in his 30 an now hes a nw5 and is 50years old.
    So speculating this might bee the case for me im regarding fut. to max out my donor hair. And after 6-8k fut i might stick to fue.
    But could eventually having a fut procedure done, make my self a bad candidate for procedures like dr zarew above 10k fue?
    Should i just stick with fue with clinics as dr zarew?
    Or should i get still fut first?
    Will the scar if it heals normal appear after a big fue session like in the cases of dr zarew?
    Whats youre opinion, whats the way to go?

    • @hairtransplantchannel
      @hairtransplantchannel  2 роки тому

      Hard to say. I think that if one understands that they are destined for an advanced NW level, then a big strip makes sense, to at least give strong consideration, to get to the sweet spot of the donor hair without causing aesthetic donor reduction (thinning). FUT comes with it's own risks so it is up to the patient which way to go. Don't count on specific doctors like Zarev because you don't know what is possible for YOUR case. He may not think you're a candidate for multiple surgeries to get the big numbers. But, multiple strips then FUE worked for me and I was a NW19 repair case;)

    • @hairtransplantchannel
      @hairtransplantchannel  2 роки тому +3

      Yes, usually. I've known people who have full heads of hair then lose some or a lot later in life, even in their fifties and sixties. For many, it isn't patterned hair loss like you see with hair transplant patients but rather a condition called senile alopecia. The hair shafts miniaturize but do not fall out so it looks like hair loss but is not actually loss.

  • @SirSoap
    @SirSoap 2 роки тому

    Hey Joe, I have a question which I hoped you may be able to answer. I'm a diffuse thinner whose hairline is mostly still in tact, albeit much weaker. I'm thin all over but still have decent coverage, minus my see through hairline. Would it be possible to reenforce the hairline with grafts now or do I have to wait until I'm older to see if I not only thin, but also recede? I'm 22 but have been on Dutasteride and Oral Minoxidil for two years now and they have not only halted loss, but reversed it by a good degree so I'm not expecting more loss in the near future.
    As you may guess, I really don't want to spend the next decade living with a noticably diffuse hairline, one that people have already commented on, but I'm afraid that if I transplant into it I cannot play "catch up" with grafts later, once my hair loss potentially starts progressing again and I start to not only thin again, but actually recede. What would you advice? Thank you

    • @hairtransplantchannel
      @hairtransplantchannel  2 роки тому +2

      Great question. Normally I tell any 22 year old to forget about hair transplant surgery but you've got the benefit of medical experience and seeing a reversal of your problems, to a degree. That's rare for multiple reasons. I think that your situation depends on where you are now with the loss, meaning, is your hairline low now or is it somewhat naturally high? This matters because if you have aggressive hair loss in your family then you really have to keep that in mind as you may wind up in the same spot years from now and having surgery to restore the density of a lower hairline may be a mistake. Generally speaking, I would advise against surgery for now but your specific case may warrant reconsideration. I'd consult with a reputable clinic to get their take.

    Hi Joe. I have a question. I’m a repair patient that’s scheduled for a revision surgery in a few months. Due to my first traumatic experience I know I will be having a lot of anxiety going into my upcoming repair session. I’ve expressed this to my family doctor and he gave me an rx for Xanax to use just in case.
    My question is: if I take Xanax for a week or leading up to my repair surgery, can it have any kind of negative outcome towards my hair or the surgery itself? I would hate to cause a shed or compromise anything during the operation.

    Since my Dr said to increase the dose of medication (Minoxidil and Finasteride Oral). About 2/3 weeks later I started to notice more hair loss ( shedding ). I know it's common and normal. The issue is that at the beginning I saw more small hairs and few big ones in the hand. And there are about 2 or 3 days that are big hairs that I see on the hand. Is it normal after a month to still be shedding and now mostly hair longer? I'm trying not to panic but it's not easy...
