How do you know where to put on the side? Because you said to move the x from the right to left, but with the exercise, you moved the left to the right?

So the equation,
2x+2=6x+3 can be written as
2x-6x=3-2 this is done by changing the signs of the terms while taking x values to one side and number to the other.
Basically when a positive number goes to the other side its sign changes to its opposite(negative).
After that step we can then simplify the equation by subtracting since we got 2x-6x=3-2
-4x=1
x=1/-4 (or) -1/4
