Someone once told me that a great song will still shine even if only played on a piano or an acoustic guitar, this is one of those songs. Beautiful tribute to Les, and may he rest easy.
Im a 63 year old man from Edinburgh, and a knew les his brother harry and his dad Francis, i was never a bcr fan , but i Will say there was nothing about the McKeown's," not" to like, Francis befriended my dad believe it or not, because my old man kept pigeons , Francis was acutely deaf, and my dad didn't know how to sign but when it came pigeons fhey could communicate just fine 🏴 happy healthy peace ✌️
I can't believe mine is only the fifth comment under this beautiful video and tribute! It deserves millions. Touching piano version of Saturday Night. Can't help but remember an entire era that is gone forever.
Just about brought a tear with this exquisite tribute Phil, may i add my memory off the BCR taking over the "tattie" shed whilst both my friends band's were practicing prior to their appearance , namely clockmill lane, and sneaky pete. I was roadie n driver for clockmill aka Dan's band. However,as the shed belongs to the smashing man Davy Paton unfortunately Tam's brother they got priority over us before fistycuffs broke out! I would have liked Les to have sung Imagine ❤ peace to to world Phil thanks for everything you're a wonderful human being on a horrible planet.
The Bay City Rollers were a gift from Scotland to the world. Beautiful tribute to a beautiful man. Rest in Peace, Les. We won’t let the music die.

I agree what a legend!
Beautiful Trubute To Kes McKeown my fav Bay City Roller, You Will Be Derply Missed!
I am a woman in my 60's who adored them, you are right on that!
Deeply Missed!
The gentleman responsible for the melodies for many of the earlier songs of the Bay City Rollers.
I did not know that!
This is lovely
I held it together until he played the piano, that’s when I lost it. R.IP. Les.
I know! Its the exact moment Phil plays...At the good ol rock n roll roadshow I gotta go. 😭
The biggest band in the world in 1975-1977 ,a great singer in Les McKeown Rip
Phil always speaks with empathy and respect
A great ambassador for our people❤ respect❤
Just beautiful
Wunderschön❤
I pity he was the only member recorded on their early albums. Session musicians were used
I wish that nobody Clark could stay with the band because les Was replacement lead singer
I was unaware he had passed away.
Are any of the original lineup left?
Derek, Eric and Woody are still with us. Alan passed July 2018 and Ian Mitchell, who replaced Alan in 1976, passed September 2020.
If you go to the documentary Rollermania this writer said that they did not have the ability to play or write. He is so full of of..........
Eric wrote songs later on after firing these guys and singing and playing,if they cared about them, they would of stopped this.
This guy would have got all the pueblo shing and he f I'd mot want them to write their own stuff. Still trying to cash in sick.
